Even though this park has been in existence since 1950, it feels relatively modern, with its upgrades and updates. They've even got a green monster inspired by the one at Fenway Park. As of this writing, tickets are $8 for non-conference games and $10 for SEC games. If you buy online, there is a surcharge of a few bucks. There's seating for 4,096 fans. We bought tickets day-of, so we had to sit way out in the outfield, but we were still practically right on the grass and could see the happenings at home plate well enough. That's the beauty of non-MLB games! There's also a general admission area with some lounge chairs. You can also find people watching the game from behind the outfield fence and from a nearby parking deck. Restrooms are located by the entrance. They could use a refresh but were fine. I liked how there was a cell phone charging station and water station too. It's fun to think of how famous ballplayers such as Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Tim Hudson, and Josh Donaldson have called Plainsman Park home. If you're a sports fan and in the Auburn area, taking in America's pastime at Plainsman Park is very highly suggested. Play ball!

Although the primary objective is a living breathing outdoor museum, it is also a university classroom. I will focus on what the Davis Arboretum is best known for, The Founders Oak. I was fascinated by my visit. The native Southern trees and plants is the real gem of the arboretum. The crown jewel would be the "Founders Oak". The tree symbolizes the strong foundation and a deeply rooted history. The tree measures 88 feet tall by 47 inches wide. It's expected to see the start of the next century. The Oak serves as a symbol of the City of Auburn in history and spirit. There is much, more to the 13.6 acre arboretum that you will love to explore. They also rent out their space on the cheap for weddings. I encourage a visit.

There's a parking lot off Garden Drive and some street parking on Lem Morrison Drive. The arboretum is free to all, not just those with university affiliations, and is open from dawn to dusk. If you like trees, especially southern ones, you're in luck. The place has undergone some cosmetic improvements over the years and seems to have expanded. I'm partial to the pond, and the pitcher plant area is super cool, especially when you can hear frogs rumbling. Spanning 13+ acres and home to 300 native plant species, the arboretum is sure to have something for you, whether you just like to wander amidst the trees, need to squeeze in a run, have to study for class, or want to explore with your kiddos.

My family and I went for the Spring game so it wasn't in full swing; however, the concession offerings are descent with concession prices. I did not like the bleacher seats at all nor the stairs without rails. However, the $10/person bleacher seat cushions was well worth the purchase. The players offering fans to come on the field for autographs was an added bonus

We had been gifted a Biscuits baseball in the past. I purchased a couple of t-shirts and a baseball cap with the TB logo, and Monty the Biscuit. I mean, who doesn't love a good buttery biscuit? The service at the shop was great. I wish I could remember the name of the girl who helped me. She was so very helpful in picking out shirts and sizes. She told us that the Biscuits were having a playoff game that evening. I thought about purchasing tickets for the game. It would have been a great experience. They actually sell various kinds of biscuits and biscuit sandwiches at their games. Just something to keep in mind if you happen to be in Montgomery during baseball season. I'm already planning on coming back with my husband next year. Hopefully the Biscuits do well again next year.
