I think people need more than that in a general practitioner. My only complaint is when I went to get a thyroid scan I had to call him numerous times to get his feedback on the scan. The process literally took a month just to track him down. His staff is decent at trying to track him down but be prepared to wait on the line for 5 to 10 minutes. The whole practice seems to lack compassion and familiarity with the patient. Overall I probably won't stay with this doctor but I've been to worse.

Recently you added a PA to your staff. Her name is Christine Greco. I applaud you select tionna of adding her to your staff. She is very witty and smart. She brings a fresh new vibe to your office. Since she's more recently out of medical school I feel her knowledge is of great value to your group. Her knowledge of medications and there effects on a person are phenomenal. A even greater value and understanding I have with her as apposed to other doctors at your office is, she like me has problems with b disk herniation as I do. This knowledge and experience gives her a better understanding of my injuries and complaints she physically experiences them whereas some of your other physicians as they do not/have not had to live their life in constant pain and have no true understanding when I say I need you to increase the dosage or the amount of tablets I take daily. I feel they spend more time worried about a medical license audit or my dosages being what they THINK they should be but do not live in my body every day. They have no physical pain to base this decision on just what my height and weight say I should take. They have a real difficulty understanding my body needs higher dosages than they feel comfortable writing a prescription for. I've by personal preferences have chosen not to take certain medications because 9f the dude affects. First instance I have in the past taken garvapantan/norontin in the past. I stopped taking it because a side effect it causes is incontinence so instead of my doctor saying ok I understand why your refusing to take this medicine so let me offset it and increase your oxycodone daily amount or dosage level I get no true help and spend most if my days in pain crippling more than necessary if my doctor would simply understand based on my VARIOUS MRI's which obviously indicate a medical condition relating to disc bulges and herniation I'm told I can't raise it. Your my doctor. If what your giving me is not working isn't it your responsibility to follow medically what is necessary to make my life less painful and more productive? I'd I've already repeatedly advised my doctor I refuse to have surgery on my spine b Eva use it requires sedation and I had a traumatic experience relating to sedation/medically induced coma gor 6 weeks because after being placed in one of lost my identity. I have memory lose and after 3 years I was finally able to google the side effects of being in a sedation of a medically induced coma and it stated "permanent personality changes and the inability to get a grip". I refuse to be pit in the position again so it's life long pain management for me. No I not having spine surgery. Dr. Greco understands my position and is willing to work with me as I have stated. She's thorough she doesn't rush me making me feel like just another patient. She doesn't shuffle me in and shuffle me out. She in my opinion don't rates true medical skills I love her she's fabulous and you are blessed to have such a doctor as a part of your practice. Do not waste your time. Find a primary associated with NYU or one of the better hospitals. The staff at this office is extremely rude--they will leave you on hold for an hour while "waiting for an answer," only to eventually hang up and send you to voicemail. I've dealt with this office multiple times, including when I was trying to get information on how my father was cleared to fly--only for him to suffer a heart attack overseas. I was never even able to speak directly with the doctor to ask the specific questions I needed in order to report his condition. It wasn't until Donna finally got on the phone with me that I received any real help. She was the only one who assisted me with everything I needed. Getting anyone else on the phone--especially the front desk--is nearly impossible. They're rude, unhelpful, and seem completely miserable. Today, we called the office an hour in advance to let them know we would be arriving late. We were open to rescheduling but asked if the necessary medications could at least be prescribed. That's when we were put on hold--and left there for an hour. I recorded the call to prove that we were hung up on by the office staff. And still, no one called us back or even picked up the phone to provide an update. We showed up, and the front desk woman, Natalie, claimed that my father was on the phone when I had actually called from my own phone--again, using my number. She then said she didn't know who had spoken to us, but the call was on speakerphone, so it was clear she could hear the conversation and knew exactly who was speaking. She refused to speak directly to me and instead directed her words toward my father. She picked up her phone to call "Deb," (I thought she claimed not to know who had spoken to us--again, not believable given the context). Deb then stated that my father had agreed to a rescheduled appointment and even provided a date. But if that were true, why would we have stayed on hold for over an hour? We remained on the line because my father asked if his medications could be refilled, and we were told to hold for an answer--an answer we never received. I even showed a screenshot proving how long we were on hold, and the only response we got was a shrug. We drove all the way from New Jersey to see Dr. Bonaros, only to be treated like this. If it weren't for the longstanding relationship my father has with the doctor, we wouldn't waste our time traveling for this kind of treatment. This office clearly needs new staff, and based on what we've heard, we're not the only ones reporting issues with them. This behavior will absolutely be reported.

I'll tell you, they put you thru every test from Chest X-ray to breathing and some walking exam. And sent me home with more testing. And then bill your insurance. I did not need one of those tests. This Dr never asked me how I feel. He told me my symptoms. I never got a word in. He gave me 3 prescriptions and as he was pushing me out I asked so what do think . No joke!! He was not for me. 2 stars for all The staff/ girls in the office. They are terrific.
