From the set design to the costumes, the music, and the choreography, everything is executed so professionally, yet with a warmth and joy that only a school production can bring. I know firsthand how much work it takes to put on a show like this, and I truly admire the dedication, patience, and passion of all the teachers, staff, and volunteers who make it possible. The special education team here are really great. I have seen improvements on our daughter a lot since she entered Ms Simons class. Speech Therapists Ms Tahnee and Ms Sharon really did a great job with her speech. Ms Nathalie OT. Ms Wright is also a special ed Pre K teacher and she is also great. It was slightly frustrating, but once in, it's a wonderful place. Teachers are incredible and kind, communicative and supportive. I've decided that the idea of a successful education is all about the cooperation and coordination and commitment of parents and teachers. Communication is key and knowing the difference between academia and childcare is key. Doral is not the latter. It requires input and involvement. When this is done well, I feel like the kids win. Administration is bomb. Teachers are first-rate. The facilities are great, despite its smaller footprint. Love this school.

This school seems very advanced and up to date with their teachings and their technology. Since attending this school, I've noticed my child is a bit more advanced on the academic side compared to her other peers that go to regular in person public schools. Nothing against public schools, this school just works out for us as a family. This school uses real life scenarios in their quarterly projects. For example, they need to research about their dream vacation and how much it cost in real time and create a budget, etc. Surprisingly, as parents, after realizing her dream vacation was definitely more doable budget wise, we were able to actually take her on that dream vacation in less than a year's time. My child is somewhat awkward like most preteens and has been hurt by the very unkind words of peers. Always the teacher involves the vice principle who speaks to both students and follows up with me afterward. Administration leaves classroom issues to the teachers at Coral and if they do address a situation they do not attempt to notify the student victim or their parent to "protect the other family's privacy." The teachers that we had at both schools were GREAT (6th grade teachers at Coral and 7th grade teachers at Pinecrest.) No complaints there. Administration is more communicative and helpful at Pinecrest.

What really makes this school is the teachers, and teachers only. The administrative staff is not…read morehelpful at all. Let's start with if you have a special needs/IEP student, then don't come here. They don't listen to your concerns, they talk down to you, they may say "they suspect things" but it's code for "your child is not special needs enough for services". It's pretty bad when the teachers even agree that services are needed, but the MDT team shuts them down. Then, they say your child has behavior issues, issue a 504 instead, then drag their feet to complete it. An IEP is binding, and a 504 plan isn't. This school is aware of that and takes full advantage of it. The nurse staff is just as bad. When they call you to tell you that your child is injured, they tell you what they think happened, not what actually happened. My child had a bloody nose, cuts on his lips, and a chopped bottom tooth. I asked the nurse what happened, they have no idea, nor do they know who actually saw what happened. Then I asked to speak with the principal, and get the vice principal, who again, cannot tell me anything other than "Let me look at the cameras and get back to you". She gets back to me and tells me "You're child kinda looks like he fell". Kinda? He KINDA fell? So you're telling me that you actually didn't see anything and your staff aren't watching the children like they should. It's disgusting. The ONLY REASON we stay at this school is because of the teachers. They are amazing. They communicate. We work between home and class for what is best for the child and student. Be weary. Make sure you make an educational decision. If it wasn't for amazing teachers, this school wouldn't be worth it at all.
