Before I was able to make it to my appointment date, I started having some bleeding, came to his office and Tammy told me it was normal, but didn't feel normal to me, as it isn't my first pregnancy. Tammy was rude and did not show any sign of concern for me but I made her do something, so she spoke to the doctor and sent me to the lab to have some blood test to check my hormone count levels. By the time, I received the results I had stopped bleeding and the result showed very low count. Here's what she said: "it looks like you are still pregnant but your count doesn't show the weeks you said you have, you have less, so let's change your Appt for 4 more weeks in the future". I showed up to the Appt and there was no baby. Dr Huss washed his hands saying there was nothing he could do about what happened, may be more blood tests should had been done. Tammy was just there showing no empathy whatsoever. I'm not going to say how I felt because it is irrelevant. Please if you go there don't let Tammy make decisions for you, I should had said I wanted to be monitored with blood test to make sure I was still pregnant. In this office no one care. TAMMY IS HORRIBLE and please Dr Huss if you are reading this, Tammy is in the wrong line of work and is bringing your office down. She should be working where she has no interaction with patients. Please understand that if someone goes to see you they need care and attention, I received none of those.

If these "full body exams" were legally required, he would not have been able to write one before seeing me. I was told by at least 2 other offices later that same day this was an untrue statement. The previous dr also stated it was not necessary. I told him I'd find a different doctor. He told me I would not find another dr in CA to continue my current treatment without doing a "full body exam," and was looking me up and down while stating "full body exam." He was creepy and unprofessional. Speculums and other instruments were laid out in the room outside of packaging, making them unsterile. He seemed agitated that I did not want to have a "full body exam" even after I explained I no longer required these exams since my hysterectomy.

I've had an overall disappointing experience with this practice, and unfortunately I can't…read morerecommend them. The midwives themselves have been great. They are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, but the front office and administrative side has been consistently frustrating. The administrative staff is disorganized and unprofessional. They frequently mix up appointment times, give conflicting information, and make even simple tasks feel unnecessarily difficult. They don't use email or an online portal to send updates, test results, or appointment confirmations, which makes it almost impossible to keep track of anything. Everything has to be done by phone, and the communication is often curt or dismissive. Another major frustration is that any time I need bloodwork, I have to schedule a completely separate appointment with a third-party lab instead of being able to do it in-office. This makes routine prenatal care far more inconvenient than it needs to be. I really wanted to have a good experience here, especially since the clinical care from the midwives has been positive, but the front-office management has caused so much stress and confusion that I'm choosing to switch practices. I hope they improve their administrative processes and communication in the future.
