Toby gave us a very reasonable bid, offered advice for which roads to clear, and did a superb job of clearing the roads so that our ATV could access them. He encouraged us to check out the work and make requests. He understood that part of our desire was to be sure a small fire truck could access the property and he helped make sure that need was met. One of roads he cleared had been a trench where a train track was laid down temporarily for logging in the early 1900s. It was filled with tree limbs, far beyond our ability to even traverse it by foot. Toby completely cleared it so that we now have a beautiful walking trail (and ATV road) through that historic trench. After the initial work, we were so pleased that we asked him to come back again to clear another couple roads. Again he did outstanding work. We highly recommend Schwartz General Contracting.

A few 'words' about Bighaus: professional, dedicated, reliable, experienced, knowledgeable, courteous, fun, flexible, prepared, considerate, tidy, innovative, faithful... and so many many more. But... the things that really really impressed us: 1. the company is well respected by County Professionals... plans and permits had NO problems. (no permit 'issues', no long downtimes 'waiting for permit'.) 2. the company is well known by suppliers and vendors... they obtain supplies and equipment easily and quickly. (materials arrive early or on time, no downtimes 'waiting for materials', project stays on schedule.) 3. the company truly cares about project harmony... their attitudes and conduct are respectful of each other, their clients, and the clients neighbors. Went from a 2-3 day project to a 10-day project. Glad that we didn't start a new project with them before this one was finished.

He laid down a concrete pad and came back two days later to physically move the mailbox. He had to dig up a bunch of shrubbery and plants where the concrete pad was going, and even re-planted them after the concrete pad was done. He always communicated when he was on his way, when he arrived, and sent photos of the project before he left for the day. His estimate was within our budget and did the job in a timely and efficient manner. He left absolutely no mess and just did a fantastic job, over and above my expectations.
