He immediately got to work on looking at the attic. He did not up sale me and instead told me that nothing was wrong and it is still in good condition! He also did not charge me for coming out which I greatly appreciated and I will be using his services again in the future! I would recommend Randy to anyone! Double D construction was the subcontractor doing the work. They would come in, work for a short time, or no time, and leave without telling us when they'd be back. They would leave drink cups and cans in the middle of the floor. They would leave woodwork they pulled out laying in walkways with nails sticking up. They would move things into walkways, block the walkway, and just leave it there. I contacted Service Master innumerable times about issues. Finally one day the workmen just stopped coming. When I called to find out when they would be back, I was told that they were finished. They weren't. I sent a list of all the things yet to be finished. The manager from Service Master came back, did one or two little things and left. The job is still not finished.

When I asked how he arrived at that estimate, the response was simply, "I've been doing this for eighteen years." He stated that our sewer line could not be scoped and that the entire system would need to be overhauled, including excavating the front yard. That recommendation felt extreme given the lack of diagnostic evaluation. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion. The actual issue turned out to be a faulty switch on a grinder pump, and the repair was under $1,000. Additionally, contrary to what was stated, our sewer line had already been scoped when we purchased the home. This experience raised serious concerns for me regarding the accuracy of the assessment and overall integrity of the recommendation. I strongly encourage others to seek additional opinions before committing to major repairs.
