Within just 1 session, my sleep quality improved tremendously and was waking up feeling much more refreshed. I often struggled with insomnia growing up, but after seeing my alignment, the next day my sleep score shot up, was getting wayyy more restful sleep, and best yet, I was able to hit a couple PRs on my weight training. Yes you may go to Dr Allen for a concussion, headaches, neck pain, and other things. But if you're looking to optimize your sleep, energy levels, or quality of health in general, you should definitely see Dr Allen for at minimum a consult and see what he finds. I consider myself a high octane athlete and I was able to benefit tremendously.

Jill fixed me up with an emergency appointment, and Dr. Denny gave me my spinal exam and showed me where there appeared to be something stopping a couple of my discs from moving freely. My back is already feeling almost back to normal, but we are working on those areas that she found that weren't moving correctly in order to stop the pain recurring. I'm picky about chiropractors. My father, brother, and brother-in-law are all chiropractors. I've…read moremet all kinds of chiropractic doctors through my family's professional circles from all over the country. As a child, I dreamed of one day becoming a chiropractor myself. However, before a week ago, I didn't know any chiropractors in SF, where I have lived for the last half decade. Then, I had a neck injury and realized that I needed to find the right doctor to help me. I read Yelp reviews and called the top ranked doctors to speak with them about their methods of diagnosis, adjustment, and measurement of results. I even cheated and had my retired father call doctors to help in the vetting process. To be completely honest, I was largely disappointed. Most SF chiropractors were focused on soft-tissue palpation, spoke primarily about symptoms, and said they didn't take X-rays as part of their diagnosis (how can you tell the degree of spinal subluxation if you don't have a picture of the bone positioning?). But with Dr Michael Zabelin, it was different. His methodology is highly precise, and he is very focused on the cause of the symptoms, as opposed to the symptoms themselves (in my case, constant headaches since my neck injury 5 weeks ago). His diagnosis and measurement was very exact. Today, as part of the hour he spent with me, he took 20 minutes going over a series of X-rays with protractors in hand, showing the extent to which the first vertebrae in my cervical spine was rotated relative to the base of my skull and the second cervical vertebrae. Then he adjusted my first vertebrae (atlas). Immediately, I could feel warmth in my neck as my bone moved in response to Dr Z's specific adjustment. Seven hours later, I'm feeling better than I have over the past 5 weeks since my neck injury. My understanding is that it will probably take somewhere from 2-8 visits for the headaches to go away entirely. I will look forward to updating this review with the results I experience over that time. I should note that if you're looking for fancy offices, and a doctor that promises to fix your symptoms, Cow Hollow Chiropractic is not the place to go. He's been at Fillmore and Union for the past 16 years on a second floor that is accessed by a yellow door with no sign out front. The facility probably hasn't been remodeled once. However, if you are looking for a traditional chiropractor that focuses on correcting the cause of health symptoms you may be experiencing, Dr Z seems to be a great candidate.

**Review for Dr. Larry Becker, Chiropractor**…read more I cannot recommend Dr. Larry Becker enough! When I first visited him, I was struggling with severe back pain that affected my daily life and kept me from getting a good night's sleep. Thanks to his expert care, I can now walk without pain. Dr. Becker took the time to understand my concerns and incorporated acupuncture into my treatment plan alongside chiropractic adjustments. This comprehensive approach has made a remarkable difference in alleviating not just my chronic pain, but also my insomnia, anxiety, and fatigue. His patience and thoroughness truly set him apart. He genuinely cares about finding the right solutions for me, and it shows in the results. If you're suffering from back pain--or really any type of pain--I highly encourage you to see him. The benefits of acupuncture combined with his chiropractic expertise seem to address a wide variety of issues. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Becker. Everyone should experience the relief and care he provides. He truly knows what he is doing!

I was on strong pain medication just to function, and I had given up on the idea of getting better. Heather explained early on that they don't just treat the part that hurts. They look at the whole body to find what's actually causing the problem. Doctor Andrew found it, and he didn't stop at my back. Not always the type of characters you want to spend much time with. I met Dr. Cohen about 7-8 years ago from a referral because I didn't want the traditional 'crack' treatment; and he was one of the few in the area that offered other treatments such as the Activator, Graston, etc.. Dr. Cohen is an extremely down to earth person that I immediately felt comfortable with. He doesn't do a cookie cutter treatment plan, he listens, he understands, asks the right questions, then after explaining to me what he thinks is happening to me, will start the adjustments with techniques I'm comfortable with. At this point, he has full reign, I trust him with whatever technique he thinks is best. Once he solves the issue (and often times more!) that brought me to him, I may not see him for another couple years. Recently, I experienced severe tendonitis for 6+ months, no help from Kaiser...I then caught one of Proactive's newsletters and Dr. Cohen talked about a new device he was recently working with at The Olympic Training Center. It' called Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT). I hadn't seen Dr. Cohen in couple years so I reached out to him and explained my tendonitis situation. I started the treatments and I immediately felt the change the next day. Things went up and down for several weeks, but it was clear that change was happening. After a couple months of treatments, I'm feeling fantastic! Being in my mid 40's and not able to pickup an empty glass or plate was devastating to me. Dr. Cohen has been instrumental in increasing my quality of life over the years and especially with the recent Shockwave Therapy - life changing. Book an appointment.
