Ask the Community - The Balanced Atlas

If I was recently in an automotive accident, and the other parties insurance is going to cover all costs, can I send the bill for all expenses to be given to them for payment?

The short answer is yes. The at-fault insurance will reimburse you directly if you pay out of pocket.

Do you Take insurance?

I explained that I'd come in for neck pain and mentioned that I also have two frozen shoulders. As he began treating me, there were several occasions when I explained that I couldn't comfortably get into a particular position, or asked him to tell me what he was about to do before doing it, particularly when he began pulling on one of my arms. Each time I asked for a gentler approach or explained a physical limitation, he appeared visibly annoyed and tried to persuade me otherwise. Eventually, he began using a powerful vibrating device on my back and shoulders. When he reached an extremely tender area of my worst shoulder, I told him it was too much. He stepped back, threw up his hands and declared, "I can't help you!" The entire experience was bizarre and unprofessional. His manner felt aggressive, and I experienced a complete lack of compassion or willingness to listen. I was stunned. I'd never met this man before, yet he seemed to have an agenda for my body with little interest in my comfort, limitations or consent. I came in for neck pain. I'm not sure why he seemed determined to tackle two frozen shoulders in a single appointment, particularly when I repeatedly explained what I could and couldn't tolerate.

I've always been nervous about chiropractors because of bad past experiences where I felt…read moreuncomfortable and even a bit violated. The few times I went, it was all cracking, too much equipment, and nothing explained--I left more uneasy than helped. Because of that, I avoided chiropractors for years even though I've had lower back problems for over a decade. When I finally called Cameron, I was in a lot of pain and honestly a little apprehensive. From the start, he was different. He took time to really listen, was extremely understanding, and made me feel at ease. Before doing any major adjustments, he had me get an X-ray just to be safe and to better understand what was going on. That alone gave me confidence--no one had ever taken that step with me before. The X-ray showed that my hips had been out of place for a long time, likely from years of skateboarding injuries. What I appreciate most about Cameron is how respectful and transparent he is. He never does anything without explaining it first, and he makes sure you're comfortable every step of the way. There's no scary cracking out of nowhere--he's cautious, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell he really cares about getting to the root of the problem rather than just rushing through a session. Now, after four sessions, my body feels better than it has in 15 years. Honestly, I felt relief right after the very first visit--it was immediate, and I've never experienced that before with any other treatment. Each session has built on that progress, and for the first time in over a decade, I feel like my body is getting back to where it should be. Cameron is a master of his craft, but just as importantly, he's kind, patient, and trustworthy. If you've ever been hesitant about chiropractors like I was, he's the one to see. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Amazing help with back pain. I found that the work is pretty subtle but the results have been great.read more
