The administration staff demonstrated consistent mismanagement of appointments and scheduling. They…read moreshowed no concern for my welfare. I was allocated to medical professionals whom were not qualified in dealing with what I needed. Simply registering and getting to see a doctor was hampered. They left me waiting for an appointment, which someone had cancelled. I rang, having waited a month for the appointment, to confirm the time. To then be told, oh that was cancelled on the 20th December. There seemed to be no record of whom cancelled it. The fact that there was no trace of who is responsible, the notion of accountability is a real issue here. I am not going to levy blame on a random person on the phone, who is just delivering the message. But the nonchalant superficial telephone manner of staff is disconcerting. As "sorry, have a great day!" doesn't resolve the fact, I am trying to see a doctor and set up a referral, and nothing is happening. I am being left in stasis, with a medical matter being unresolved. To add insult to injury, I received a telephone call, waking me at 6:30am this morning. To be told, that the new appointment, which was replacing the previously cancelled one. Was in short, going to be a waste of my time, as I had been casually allocated to a member of staff who wasn't actually qualified. They had not even looked at my request or needs. They left it to the last minute and then saw their mistake. A mistake made at their end, and I was paying the price of this upon nerves and psychological state. I am aware certain medical conditions need input from a specialist and need to follow protocol, to ensure that everyone involved in the process is operating within the law. I am aware that this isn't straight forward, but the administration staff are the people who are their to help. They are blocking my access to care. As they don't care. The member of staff I spoke to today. Who will remain anonymous as this is a public space. In short, they were so unprofessional. Their tone was passive aggressive and they were petty and rude. The arrogance they displayed left me incredulous. You ring me to convey multiple mistakes at your end, tell me nothing is happening and then push that back onto me as if that's my fault. No! Absolutely not! That's not how that works. And here is the crux. I asked for that member of staff's name. A simple request. They paused. There was a palpable pause before they gave me their name. And we all know why? I am going to hold you accountable now and you thought you could be rude to me and get away with it. Don't you dare make assumptions about my medical needs and think you can talk down to me like that. How dare you? Magically, someone rang twenty minutes later. As this wasn't going away. Referred me elsewhere for forty minutes time. I was sat in bed and it was over an hour away. They hung up. When I got to the other hospital. I was told that the person who rung them was trying to insinuate and lay blame elsewhere. Shabby standards. If the management of this hospital are reading this. You should be embarrassed and ashamed. As you clearly aren't managing your staff. Rude and disorganised. I would categorically never recommend the Wabash branch. They are proverbially an utter joke.
