You have to wait at least 3-4 hr to be seen by the doctor and he won't even explain or talk to you in detail.

Office waits are 3+ hours. Doctor often trying to juggle 2 or 3 patients at once. Hard to follow.

Dr Song is extremely experienced. the wait time is long, but totally worth it. I saw other eye doctors, and they have the same long wait .

In my opinion, this is a 5 star rating. Here's why this establishment is a 5 star rating for me…read more Dr. Vincent Ray gladly accepted my last minute appointment due to an eye infection. It turned out that my left wye was infected with a virus. I was glad to be seen with the upmost professional services during this vulnerable time. I was seen just before Thanksgiving so again, I was very thankful Dr. Ray and his team took the time to see me. Dr. Ray performed a thorough examination and took the time to find out what my symptoms were. After examining my eyes, Dr. Ray discovered that my eye was infected with a virus and provided my with the medication to be able to preform normal duties for my Thanksgiving weekend. I am currently at my follow up appointment to discuss anything else and see the progress of my left eye. I just finished up my follow up appointment. Everything went well and Dr. Ray thoroughly explained any concerns and details that benefits me for the upcoming future. In conclusion, I would love to establish yearly eye care with Fremont Eye Care Physicians !! I high respect this establishment and invite you to do the same.

I'm torn between giving them a very good rating and a very bad one…read more The very good part. They're good at what they do, ie identifying and working on complex issues with the eye. I regularly see very elderly patients with complex eye issues here. The very bad part. They're pretty bad at the total turnaround time. While they have improved significantly in making sure that patients get seen quickly by the staff, it's often the doctor who seems to be the bottleneck here. Perhaps, if they're seeing so many patients they need to increase the number of doctors available. Been waiting here for the doctor for over 30 mins. And was just told by the attendant that there are additionally two more patients ahead of me. I cannot be wasting over an hour waiting on a doctor. At this point, I've given up on this practice, and have walked out without being seen by the doctor. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I've been a loyal patient at Tri-City Optometry for the past 20 years, originally following Dr…read more Chatwani from her former office in Newark. My experiences have consistently been exceptional, which led me to transfer our care to her new location in Fremont. Two years ago, I encountered an unfamiliar situation regarding my eye exam and contact lenses for the first time. As I was new to the process, I felt a bit lost. After receiving my glasses, I decided to visit another optometry office for my contact lens prescription and exam to avoid the hassle of returning to Fremont constantly, especially since I live quite a distance away. However, I found that making the trip once a year for my family's check-ups was reasonable. Last year, my children, husband, and I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Young. She was incredibly kind and understanding, recommending that I consider both contact lenses and glasses during my visit. I appreciated her approach as it allowed me to take my time in making a decision without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This year's experience exceeded my expectations. Just four days after purchasing new glasses, my daughter accidentally broke hers. However, Annel, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to assist us. Her kindness and attentiveness made me feel truly heard and valued. There was a moment where I contemplated switching to a different optometry office after two decades of loyalty, but after these recent positive interactions, I've decided to remain with Tri-City. I feel grateful not only for the wonderful care we receive but also for the improvements in staff that have made our experiences even better.

Tri-City Optometry is the gold standard for bad customer service…read more This review is written on behalf of my sister, who is hesitant to post under her own name because she recently purchased an expensive pair of glasses here and is worried about possible issues or retaliation if she needs repairs in the coming year. Dr. Shital Chatwani rushes through the appointment, speaks down to the patient, does not answer questions clearly, and becomes visibly impatient when questions are asked. The entire interaction felt less like a medical appointment and the clear priority seemed to be getting the patient out quickly and into ordering expensive glasses, rather than taking time to explain things or address concerns. It honestly felt like dealing with a businessperson more than a doctor. Unfortunately, the poor experience did not stop with the doctor. The overall leadership and culture of this office seems weak, and it shows in the behavior of the staff. There are many employees walking around, yet when customers have questions, they often say "I'm busy" and walk away without offering to find someone else to help. In a professional practice, you would expect at least a basic effort to redirect you to another staff member. That simply does not happen here. The staff appear selectively nice to people they are trying to secure business from but otherwise the service is consistently rude, rushed, and unhelpful. The overall attitude is 'take it or leave it.' Even when there is no problem, you are treated with disregard. If there is a problem, I would not trust this office to handle it with care or professionalism. There are many excellent optometrists who accept VSP and other insurance plans. I strongly encourage people to look elsewhere and consciously choose to support a practice that actually respects its patients.
