I'm a little over a week post op and I'd recommend them to anyone. If you're like me, and constantly procrastinating about getting them removed because of fear and worry about long down time, this is your sign to do it! Procedure was fast, medication prescription was ready for pick up almost immediately, I was back to eating my favorite foods within 3-4 days, and most importantly back to work in 3 days. P.S. My Doctor just welcomed a new baby into the world and he still made time to respond to me via call about a few follow up questions... if that's not superb customer service I don't know what is.

So I paid the co-pay for what I was told was "just the x-ray" and proceeded with my "consultation". Fast forward 3 weeks, I received an additional bill in the mail for the portions of the "free consultation" that were not covered by insurance. I understand an estimate of benefits is an estimate, and is sometimes off slightly. I called and asked for a breakdown of where my copay went and all charges just to get a better understanding of the situation. Upon speaking with Greater Charlotte I found out what actually happened was: I was actually charged for the " free consultation" and the x-ray. Half of the co-pay was applied to the "consultation" and the other half to the x-ray. ( I was told that I was only paying for the x-ray). The team members that I spoke with over the phone were not rude in tone, but very passive aggressive. They apologized " that "I" misunderstood, and "I" didn't know how things worked, and that it was all the insurance company's issue and had nothing to do with them", even after telling them my issue was with what THEY told me. The remaining balance was not a large amount (roughly $30), however it was principal at this point. The crazy part is, I was in the process of actually using this office to complete a very expensive procedure that I intended to pay for out of pocket. As a businessman I operate largely on principal. Fool me once, (tell my my consult is free then charge me for it) shame on you. Fool me twice...... you can't get fooled again. ISO a trustworthy Oral surgeon.

Staff was welcoming and efficient, but seemed to think I was going to become a regular patient instead of a one-time only visit. Dr. Parikh took time to chat with me about my tooth and then about other things of interest to us both. He was kind and took extra time so I didn't feel rushed. Although he was unable to accomplish a temporary fix, he explained everything and wished me well. I recommend him as a trustworthy professional in dental care with excellent patient caring skills. Also, an assistant came in the room and gave me a bag of items (electric tooth brush, water flosser, and medicated mouthwash... which averaged out to $199) I asked was it free and she said no they charged for it on your initial bill. Something that I definitely do not recall purchasing during my first visit. They charge you for what they want to charge you for. They're also stalling on giving me a refund, for what reason. I don't not know. They also plan for extracting teeth that clearly has not damage. As a business, the need to do better. BTW I'm sure that the refunds, that I should be receiving, amounts to over $1,000.

The dental hygienist and dentist were extremely nasty....they lie about what is needed and try to make you have procedures you DO NOT need. They had me have many X-rays...radiation and then refused to do a cleaning. They demanded that I have a deep cleaning and have my insurance pay for it. I left without anything but radiation and they are billing my insurance. Insurance fraud??? Someone should investigate them.

That program has definitely mitigated the progress of the gum recession. Every interaction with Dr. Ficca indicates that he has the best interests of his patients in mind.
