James Kahn was referred to me by another attorney and was absolutely a BAD attorney!! I paid this man $2610.00 to represent me in my bankruptcy case and I was un able to speak with him accept when he met with me to sign the agreement and take my money. Mr. Kahn assigned my case to his associate Krystal Ahart who was a very bad and, rude, ignorant, not professional and extremely incompetent!! They fictitiously served me with a bill ( $950.00 ) demanding more money besides what was agreed in the signed agreement which I paid already. They never answered my emails or questions pertaining to my filing. James Kahn then proceeded with withdrawing himself from my case before my meeting of creditors which is the most important meeting after he was paid in full!! James Kahn appeared with me because I told him it's in the agreement and I paid for him to be there . While at the meeting James Kahn never represented me correctly and let a creditor ask many questions not pertaining to the bankruptcy which hurt my case in front of the bankruptcy trustee. Then handed me another bill for $300.00. James Kahn never objected to any questions which his job is to protect me. I feel very strongly that James Kahn and his associate hurt me in my case and haven't received any discharge as of yet. I have made a formal complaint with the Arizona bar and investigation has been launched against James Kahn and Krystal Ahart. They are very incompetent and fraudulently attempt to get more money out of you after you have signed agreement !!! Don't retain this attorney or his associate what's so ever!! OMG Such a huge mistake!!…read more Whatever Nestrelda has stated is so true each and every word. I wish I would have read this before I put myself through that torture. I cannot believe since his first review in 2011 he is still same or I should say worse. We hired him for Negotiation deal with HOA instead of just sending a letter to HOA, as he claimed to be giving us a Discounted Deal and charged us 5 times more than just sending a letter. He claimed to be an expert and get us a WIN as this was a open and shut pretty easy case of HOA negligence but we LOST and the only reason was hiring an incompetent lawyer Mr. Mike ( Just Talk No Results) so we not only lost the case which he should be counting on his second hand (as he boost about how many cases he lost - which is exactly the amount of cases he has taken) but also our money and additional stuff he made us do to help HOA without our consent sent out email. As soon as HOA responded to 1st email he backed off and did not do no negotiation so we paid 5 times price because Mike cannot negotiate. And now he wanted us to file a lawsuit and this time he changed price 80 times more than initially quoted price ( I guess that's a discount too so he can sleep) And when we pressured him to follow through with negotiation agreement not only did he had a melt down on phone and asked us not to talk to him for rest of day but did worst job of mishandling our priorities ( making us lose what more can I say). He was tough on us but meek with HOA and it reached to a point where it felt like I paid him to yell at me on phone and stop asking HOA to do their job !!! His email was not only weak but lacked any legal content or research he was supposed to do before sending the letter. Do not get carried away by the number of cases he claims he has taken or how much ever discount he offers you, HE WILL NOT BE ON YOUR SIDE - as he is a weak and incompetent lawyer. All he is good at is filing paperwork for businesses , no people skills am not even sure if he gets to deal with people or cases on regular basis. Hopefully this review will help someone to not go through same experience as I went through , it is not worth losing a strong case , money and dignity ( HE LITERALLY SCREAMS AT YOU ON THE PHONE BEFORE HE HANGS UP PHONE ON YOU) by dealing with this guy!
