I would like to sincerely thank Degnan Horne, and in particular David Degnan and Brandon Texido, my…read moreattorney, for their outstanding legal representation during one of the most difficult and complex periods of my life. My case involved a highly stressful and time-sensitive landlord-tenant dispute, including retaliation issues, procedural pressure, and significant personal and financial risk. My first point of contact with the firm was David Degnan, who spoke with me by phone on a Monday morning and agreed to meet with me in person later that same afternoon. With a court hearing scheduled later that same week, his willingness to make time in his schedule to listen carefully to my situation, provide thoughtful initial guidance, and accept my legal matter before assigning my case to Brandon was critical. I am deeply grateful for the diligence, respect, and steady guidance I received. Brandon's work made a meaningful difference in both the outcome of my case and my ability to endure an extremely challenging season with clarity and confidence. His judgment and foresight--particularly in establishing an early and constructive framework for resolution--were instrumental in bringing the matter to a fair and balanced conclusion. When an early procedural ruling created a significant challenge in the case, Brandon responded quickly and strategically, and his persistence ultimately helped strengthen our position and move the matter toward resolution. I genuinely felt that the final outcome reflected an appropriate allocation of risk and responsibility, and that I received a just result under the circumstances. Throughout the representation, Brandon was also consistently mindful of the financial impact of each step and worked to resolve the matter efficiently and responsibly. He helped me carefully weigh resolution options against the uncertainty and risk of litigation, and provided clear, practical guidance so I could make informed decisions at each stage of the case. Throughout the process, I experienced the firm as a true team. Everyone involved worked collaboratively and communicated effectively, creating a seamless and well-coordinated approach to my case--so much so that I consistently felt fully supported and prioritized. Degnan Horne proved to be a firm that is well organized, responsive, and highly competent. Communication was consistent and professional, and I never felt overlooked or dismissed. The firm's structure and internal coordination gave me confidence that my case was being handled thoroughly and responsibly. It gives me great confidence and genuine pleasure to recommend Degnan Horne, and both David Degnan and Brandon Texido, to anyone seeking skilled, ethical, and truly dependable legal representation. Sincerely, Theresa Mattox

This office summoned me to court over EIGHT times in two months, suborned perjury (my apartment manager said under oath he had never accessed the property after business hours and his attorney did not object even though they had a video showing him coming out of the office while it was dark out), and refused to give me my key back to my unit even after the judge (Williams) ordered them to. It was the roughest time of my life. I became suicidal, despondent, and even though I now live in a new home i STILL have flashbacks of the horrors I faced and often call crisis help lines. To make matters worse, I was slapped with a $15,000 judgement that hindered me from getting new credit, suitable housing, and pretty much ruined my life. As a result of the judgement, I began working a part-time job doing gig work to pay off the debt so I could get back into a decent home in a suitable school district and ended up being sexually assaulted for hours by a customer. Last week, i was researching this law office because I knew the way I was treated was not fair, and I stumbled across an article stating they were punished by the Arizona Bar Association for illegal COVID evictions and mandated to remove all negative reports of non-payment, for all the clients whose lives they ruined, in 2021. Which they have not because i STILL have an eviction on my credit from them. Had they at least been honest and actually removed the eviction from my credit, and notified me I would NOT have been working the gig I was. I would have felt some semblance of hope. But they did not. And to make matters even worse, the court documents from their Arizona Bar hearing are all sealed, so I can't even pull them in a proactive measure to research and see if my name is on the list of people whose judgement should have been removed. Just typing this gives me flashbacks and my hands shake. I can forgive so many things, and one day I will heal from this, but CPTSD is my diagnosis and my heart bleeds for me every time I see this law office representing a complex I live at. Heck, I'm currently at a property they represent and I just moved from one. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I know they cannot control their client, but it is their responsibility to protect and uphold truth and honesty. Landlords, I know they may be affordable and "effective" but at what cost? The pandemic was bad enough, but what happened to me during said pandemic at the hands of this law office was atrocious.

I would not recommend this law group for legal advice. He said to call back with any other issues or questions. Why would I pay another $250 when I didn't get my money's worth in the first place?

Its not a complicated situation, but he still had me explain at least 3 times. After all that, his questions were so basic, it was obvious he had absolutely no idea what we were talking about. It was like talking to a drunk man on a bus. I kept asking the paralegal if Mr Combs was OK and all she could do was apologize. Like seriously he can't even dress himself. I'm sure he isn't capable of driving a car. There is no way on God's green Earth I'd trust him to represent me in a legal matter. Mr Combs told me my case was unwinnable but he'd give it a shot for $20k to start. I laughed in his face and went on to my next meeting. Thankfully the next lawyer was sober and capable of basic comprehension, charged me $5k and won my case so easily. Unreal. Avoid Combs Law at all costs.
