At first, I thought they were just unorganized but now, I understand that they use fraudulent and dirty practices. They make promises that they do not intend to keep in order to get you into a car. I signed paperwork that explained that they will pay the remainder of my lease so that I can get into the Ford sooner. They never paid that. I have the paperwork still but they claim that the contract only covered a "disposal fee" that was less than 1/3 of what was left on the lease. These were the major issues I had with this rotten company: 1) They agreed to pay the remainder of my lease and I have Toyota calling me daily asking for that money that James Ford never sent them. I've contacted the sales person 4 times, the Title Clerk 3 times, the General Manager 2 times, and the finance office 2 times. 3 weeks later, I finally heard back from the sales person telling me that he can't help me and from the GM telling me that they can't deliver on their promise. 2) I got a notice from DMV for lapse of insurance (WHICH I NEVER HAVE HAD) because James Ford never sent in my proof when THEY offered to take care of everything. 3) The Sync doesn't work in my vehicle that they sold me. I tried several times to get them to look at it and fix it and I am either ignored or sent away when I show up. I only bought this vehicle 1 month ago and I can honestly say that I have never had a worse car buying experience. read more

I enjoy going into a dealership wanting a used car and the saleman, the sales manager, and finance manager all try to pressure me to buy a brand new car with $1800 down and having a $526/month car payment. Oh and when we said we don't have it, they tried to pressure us to find a co signer. I wanted the car I wanted, not the pressure to buy a new one. I felt ganged up on and walked out. They definitely have some questionable sales practices. If this the dealership is for the people, then they must be for the people who are not strong enough to tell them exactly what they want! I've purchased my last two vehicles here. My first vehicle was fine no issues. My second vehicle the dealer failed to inform me that I wasn't getting GAP insurance. I realize its not mandatory for a dealership to do. But this go round I happened upon a snarky underwriting team when this was my 3rd or 4th purchase from Ford. And 2nd purchase was from this dealer. Well fast forward 2 years later and I'm stuck with a fat bill bc my insurance company valued my truck low in an accident and I am just now learning the vehicle doesn't have GAP insurance and I was never offered it. Numerous times I said they could not get me into car at price paying. Said I could get my own financing but they could do better. (found bank out of state)Next day I found a local bank for almost 4% lower. Never actually said they were writing up sale papers, found out when spoke to the insurance co. that I was buying a car . I went to this dealership with the intentions of possibly co signing for a car purchase for a relative. After being in the office of 6 hours I was told it was taking some time to obtain financing. I was told the purchase price was around $14,000 . 2 more hours pass and I asked repeatedly for the interest percentage of the loan. It was not disclosed to me. The next day I find out that I was being charged 34,0000 for a used car with a value of $8000.and New MRSP of 18,000. A 3rd party also explained to me that I was listed as owner The dealer was aware that the car wasn't for myself & that I can not drive. The actual owner of the car was left off the contract..the registration placed on this car by the salesman has the wrong make, model, year and VIN number. I have made numerous attempts to reach the dealership. No one will return my calls. The car began having transmission issues in the 2nd week. The service department will not return my calls to arrange repair. Sadly James Ford has taken advantage of my disability & failed to disclose the actual price of the car. So....I sold my car and went to see what James Ford had to offer in the way of a used car within my budget. I ended up with a Ford Fiesta Titanium, which gets great gas mileage and has all the bells and whistles that I wanted. I was really happy with it..for one day. Suddenly the transmission feels like it is slipping when starting out and then again when the car shifts gears. After researching this issue, it turns out there is a recall on the clutch associated with these transmissions and Ford will replace them and even extended the warranty to 150,000 miles for this problem. Took the car back and was told 'the car has to get used to the way you drive'. Really? They kept my car for two days and tell me it has to get used to the way I drive? Took it to another Ford dealership, they will be fixing the car next week. When I test drove the car, I noticed that the rear view mirror was loose, was told that would be fixed. Still loose, even after they had the car for two days. Oh, and when I picked up the car after those two days, I asked for paperwork to document what had been done. Three times. I did not receive any paperwork, they refused to give me any documentation. Today I was on my way home and the check engine light came on. I was close to the dealership so I pulled in and had the salesman come and look at it. He had them pull it into the shop while I went in and sat at his desk. After about 15 minutes the car was done, they had hooked it up to their machine and reset the idiot light. What was wrong, you may ask (again, no paperwork). Bad gasoline! I just have to run through this tank of bad gasoline I purchased, fill it up with Premium gas and run through that tank, then I can go back to using regular gas. Who knew. This all has really happened. This is what I have been told by the fine folks at James Ford of Williamson. I am not an idiot, nor was I born yesterday. Cars do not have to 'get used to the way you drive' and 'bad gasoline' does not activate your check engine light. Please do not purchase any vehicles from this establishment, just keep driving right on by. You will thank yourself later. I have never and will never buy here just based off of the two times I pulled into the dealership and their website structure. The first time I pulled into the dealership to turn around and the five sales people sitting outside all stood up to try and be the first to approach me. The second time I stopped in was to look at used vehicles and two salesmen had to practically wrestle each other out the door and then it was a high pressure situation to try and run my credit. The website is atrocious and requires a email and phone number just to view the inventory. Then once you get inside the vehicles don't even have listed prices, trying to force you onto the lot for a go around with a high pressure sales associate. No thanks, I'll buy elsewhere. read more

I was there only for an oil change but was feeling very pressured into a discussion about trading in my vehicle for another one. One young man asked me my name and made small talk and went directly into him trying to convince now is the time to trade my vehicle in. While he was doing this, another seller, that was on his phone looking at who knows what, proceeded to tell me I'm crazy not to trade in my car. Might I add not very nicely. He made me feel stupid and bullied. I will NEVER buy a car from them. The whole dealership is a pig sty with wallpaper falling off the walls, carpet was disgusting, and very unclean. Why anybody would want to buy a car from a dealership that can't even make their show room look presentable is beyond me. The music was irritating so I decided to tell the garage person I would be waiting outside. When I walked through, I noticed my car wasn't even in the garage. Apparently it was done and nobody told me. I went here only because of the convenience but I will definitely be going out of my way and back to VanBortel.
