    Potato masala dosa. Very good
    Cindy A.

There's a delicious new Indian restaurant in downtown Hillsboro called Jalsa. It's located in the spot formerly occupied by Top Burmese. I've enjoyed several meals from Jalsa and the food has always been good. I especially enjoyed their potato masala dosa. My roommate loved their malai kofta. Their gobi manchurian had very nice flavor but was super crunchy. Their samosa channa chaat was mostly dough so wouldn't get that again. Their veggie kurma was tasty. Overall, the food is good with some items more to my liking than others. Jalsa does offer delivery thru Grubhub, which is always convenient. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, Jalsa is definitely worth trying.

We checked out Jalsa on a cold winter day and it really hit the spot. The food here was so good! We got a chicken tikka masala, tadka dahl, apollo fish and an order of roti. I think they can get quite spicy if you want - we stuck with the mildest, 1 out of 5 and thought it was just enough for us to feel a touch of heat. At some places mild is basically not spicy at all but this was not the case here, so it was just right. I would definitely come back to try more food, dine in or take out.

What a great find! Amazing restaurant! I'm so excited to try out more food from their menu. We got the Andhra karam dosa and schezwan fried rice, both were excellent! Great, peaceful, neat ambiance, food was slightly slow to come out but I guess for things take time!

Butter chicken Thali. It was wonderful!

A lovely new restaurant in downtown Hillsboro. The Pakoras were outstanding! Good butter chicken. Good Naan. Excellent soups! I practically licked the Sambal bowl clean! Very good service. We will definitely go back!

Great addition to Main St. good food and ambiance (same vibes as Top Burmese that was there before). Menu had a good mix of Indian and fusion food and some new things I haven't seen before (Mac n cheese, nachos). We've been there twice since they opened. The tofu option is unique and great for vegetarians that don't always want paneer. Photos of chole batura, chicken tikka masala, Andhra karam dosa, and thali.

Great Indian food at reasonable prices. The biryani is awesome with good portions. The naan might be the best in the area. We will be back!

At first the mango lassi looked normal, but when we went to try it, it was meaty flavored? and not like mango at all. We told him and he offered to remake it. It tasted better after that, but still the inti taste stayed with us. And then we got our main food, the tikka masala. It had a layer of unmixed cream on the top, which didn't look particularly appetizing because it was greyish. I was still expecting the food to be the same. Come to find out that it's too salty and has almost no spice flavor that it usually has. Still we kept eating. Soon, my boyfriend ate a piece of chicken that was not cooked fully. Unfortunate. Though in the picture it ma looked fully cooked, you could tell by the rubbery texture it was not. Garlic naan was good, kind of plain no complaints. We spent $27 dollars. Please consider this and spend your money on another Indian cuisine place.

Supposedly it is their official website. If you place an order through there, it won't go to the business so they'll never receive an order. Placed an order through that website on a credit card (thankfully) and once there, they said they never got the order and can't access the funds - stating "get your bank to do a refund - it doesn't go to anyone anymore. you have to do a chargeback, order your food and pay here". The location and atmosphere is nothing special, but that isn't why you come here. Both times I've gone it's been busy, but we were able to get seated right away. The paneer makhani curry is delectable. It's rich, sweet, spicy, creamy, and has a great depth of flavor and spices. The shrimp biryani was the standout dish for me that I still keep thinking about. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly, while the shrimp was robust, bright, and very spicy. I would recommend ordering a spice level down from what you would normally get.The mini samosas were packed with flavor and I loved all onions in them. The garlic naan was also solid. All around incredible food!

We got our food to go, so can't really speak to the service or dine-in experience; but the staff were friendly over the phone and in-person so I can't imagine it would be bad. Food was amazing. As a group we had the Chicken 65 which comes as an appetizer but honestly could be an entree other than the fact it doesn't come with rice. The Garlic naan was fantastic, heavy on the herbs and garlic, which I love. The Butter chicken which was super smooth and flavorful. Same with the Tikka Massala. Both of which we ordered one of mild and one spicy, and my only note, is that I couldn't really tell the difference between the 2 levels of spiciness. I will say for a group of 3, ordering 3 curries, 1 naan, and 1 appetizer, I was a little surprised at the total, which would be my only criticism. Needlesly to say, we will definitely be back at some point!

The staff are friendly. There is a big variety of Vegetarian & non-Vegetarian dishes to try out in the buffet. The place is very spacious and clean. We went with a big group of 20+ friends and were give separate tables so we can all sit together. I liked the 3 different desserts (the Mango custard seems to be off that day but the other 2 Semiya payasam and Carrot halwa were pretty good) in the buffet, its a good surprise that they were not the usual Gulab Jamun etc. I hope they can add some spicy flavors and rotate some of the dessert options.

Ganesh was located on my way home so I have always wanted to give it a try. The first impression was alright. It's a quiet restaurant with lot of seating inside. You will find a few selections for each dish in the buffet, there were a few deep fried dishes, a few curry selections and a few desserts as well. At Ganesh, you will find a mini salad bar and free fountain drinks as well. My favorite items were the roasted chicken, warm Indian-style donuts and the yogurt salad. Overall, we were glad trying out Ganesh. Even though we still love our favorite place, we appreciate the opportunity to compare different Indian buffets in town.
