Been coming here a lot lately. The dogs are best in town. The drinks esp the mojino are amazing. The tacos off the hook. Tostadas look and taste out of this world. The pollo is flavored to addiction. Today i had the pork chop plate. You have to see the this beleice it. It could feed three. The chops are tender and juicy, the ham tacos were joined with pineapple among peppers onions, and other come together to make yum stuff. Outstand service caps the experience here and that why ive been back so often.
This is one of my favorite casual eats in Sacramento. Came here for tostada Thursdays where each tostada is $2. For the special, you'd have to order at least two tostadas and a drink. My favorites are the pork in sauce, ceviche, and steak in dark sauce. Employees are nice as always. They are super friendly and outgoing. Cams around 7:50 pm and it was extremely slow. It looks like the business is struggling. Come support jalapeños!
Have been here now several times with family and friends for brunch and dinner. The food is so delicious, the drinks are great, the workers are friendly and welcoming, and it's a super cute place that you have to try. All seating is outside and the area is somewhat small, but you're surrounded by greenery with shade. They have Taco Tuesday and Tostada Thursday where you can get their amazing food for great prices. Lots and lots of meat option to choose from. My favorite tacos to get are carnitas, pollo con mole, tinga de pollo, and rajas. They also have some of the best chilaquiles around! Huge menu with things I still want to try.
Omg!!! It was 10pm that we arrived here were my husband and I was looking for a place to dine in. Upon looking in Gloogle saw this Jalapeños place and the pictures helped a lot. This place is awesome. Of course the dine in experience is outside and they don't have inside sitting. The food was delicious. One hot dogs Mexican style and one is pizza. They were delicious. Do I recommend?? Yes!!!
Came here for $2.25 Taco Deal, and it was also raining this past Tuesday. I didn't know this place only had outdoor seating. The tacos were pretty good. The deal also requires a minimum 3 order plus a drink, so I got a horchata too. My only downside was that some of our party was confused while ordering, so some of us ordered takeout which doesn't cover the deal. We initially ordered takeout because of no seating, so it was regular plus (+ a 20% discount.) We ended up finding seats, and asked if we can switch our price to the dine in cheaper price. They initially said yes, but retracted their statement. We were offerred a consolation dessert of buñelos, but waited an extra 15 minutes for. I'd probably come back in the summer when the weather is warmer, but i had an interesting experience
I've been wanting to check out Jalapeños for awhile now and finally had the time this past Taco Tuesday! They have one of the best deals that I know of in the area at $2.25/taco. Located in Midtown so there's only street parking in the area but we were able to get some prime parking right in the front. Plenty of outdoor seating and honestly really good service! My partner and I were so indecisive because there were so many options but the cashier helped us pick and we really loved what we got. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos, 1 papas con chorizo, 1 tinga de pollo, steak in dark sauce, and the other veggie tacos. Everything was a 10/10 and the flavors for each taco were wonderful. Will definitely be back for taco Tuesday or even their tostada Thursday!
Great food, great customer service, & great ambiance. I love coming to Jalapeños. Everyone is so kind & welcoming. They're super quick to bring food and drinks too. I personally love their micheladas & pizza doggos. I also enjoy their breakfast sopes & french toast (brunch menu). I recommend this spot to people all the time!

They have $2.25 Taco Tuesdays and $2 Tostada Thursdays (both dine-in only and order minimum). Great deals for the amount of food you get, they don't skimp on the protein at all. Staff is always super outgoing and offers recommendations. They deserve all the business!
My friend recommended for me to come here for their Tostadas Thursdays and it did not disappoint!! A great price for how much food youre getting. Great vibes to sit down and thoroughly enjoy your food. I would recommend to come during the night time and also for their taco tuesdays!
Jalapeños is so delicious. I've been here multiple times. They have amazing deals everyday but Tuesday is taco Tuesday and Thursday is tostada Thursday! Their brunch menu is phenomenal. I've had chilaquiles and their breakfast burrito, both were so delicious. The service is friendly and efficient.
Yummy, cheap, homemade. First time coming here on a Saturday night at 9:00 pm. They have happy hour specials so make sure to get in for those! You will order at counter and take a number to your table where staff will bring it to you. It is a small place, there is plenty of outdoor seating, but none indoor, so keep that in mind. Jalapeños has multiple heaters outside that staff is happy to turn on for you. The service is literally unbeatable. I would come again just for the authenticity and passion Alejandro (Alex) at the counter had for this restaurant and their food. His knowledge of the restaurant, their dishes and his great customer service made this a 5/5 for me. I tried the mulitas plate with rice and beans. Ohhhhh my godddddddd.... you need this. Heaven on a homemade tortilla. My friend got their fries and ate the whole plate. Everything tastes authentic - the horchata is fabulous too. Do not pass up this spot!!
I love this place so much. If there is anything you should trust me on do this: Anytime on Thursday (dine in only) bring $20 and get 4 ground beef tostadas. They run a special every Thursday for $2 with a drink, I grab a soda water. I think about these all week, and if you want to get 5 that $20 will still cover it. 10/10
Located right next to Zelda's Pizza, so it's street parking only which can be a pain especially since it's downtown. This place looks more like a house, as it's decorated in lots of plants as you walk through the gate. Inside where you order super tiny so there is no indoor seating. Depending on the weather, this too can be a pain in butt. We came around 9pm on a Tuesday and it was getting a little cold outside but the man who took our order (I believe he may have been the owner) was very nice and wheeled over a large outdoor heater to help keep us warm. He was also very patient with us while taking our order and even made a few recommendations. We opted for the rajas con queso tacos, and sopes with carnitas, tinga and Chicken along with a side of beans and rice. I will say I was a little bummed with the meat choices. They only offered variations of chicken, carnitas and asada; but no pastor or adobada. Food was decent tho. I enjoyed my carnitas sopes, they were loaded with meat and their salsa was good. My husband also enjoyed his tinga sopes but said the plain chicken sope was a little dry. I was hoping the rajas con queso would have been with Oaxaca cheese but they used queso fresco so it wasn't melty but still was ok tasting. I was not a fan of the plain white rice with corn, zero flavor so we poured some salsa over it. The beans with chorizo were good and like the little squirt of mole sauce on top. Overall, for the price and quality of food, we would for sure come back. I really want to try their mole next time.

Jalapeños was exactly the Taco Tuesday spot I was looking for. The server was super friendly and gave us a bunch of great recommendations. We ended up trying a wide variety of tacos, and they even hooked us up with two extra tacos in different flavors to sample, which was a nice surprise. The sautéed onions and spicy green jalapeños were honestly one of my favorite parts. They had a really solid Taco Tuesday deal, and I paired everything with one of their IPAs on tap that was smooth and refreshing. Service was impressively fast too; we got our food in about 7 minutes even though the line was pretty long. The staff moved through it quickly and kept everything running efficiently. They have nice ambiance and plenty of seating outside, with music playing. read more

Came here for girls night tonight. Love that they have the heaters outdoors- they work really well! Had the carnitas, chicharrón, and pork taco. All were delicious and I was surprised at how spicy they actually were. The size was great for the price too. Super friendly staff and they were super attentive even though the place was packed. 5 stars all the way!! My friend and I stumbled upon this place on our way to a different Midtown restaurant and decided we'd come in for a drink. I got the Mango Mojiño and she got the blueberry margarita. Both were delicious. We were going to get the "$1.50" taco Tuesday promotion but opted out of food at first. This deal requires a drink and 3 tacos for each person. Later on Miguel, who took our order, brought us 3 of their poblano tacos to taste and y'all they didn't disappoint!! Each server, busser, food runner etc was extremely welcoming. We were warmly greeted by each person and we watched as they recognized people standing in line, greeting them again, making sure everyone on the patio is all set. It's a small establishment but they have a larger patio area (no indoor seating). I am excited to come back for more tacos and even try their brunch. I will say, within 30 min of us sitting down it went from one person ahead of us in line to a line out the gate! Stopped by with two friends after a morning at the Farmer's Market. There were very few other patrons, so we walked right in and ordered. I ordered the chilaquiles with asada. We sat ourselves on the patio outside and waited. There is no indoor seating, but the patio feels very private due to all the greenery. Our food did not take too long to come out. The staff member who helped us asked if we could "feel the love" (lol), and we sure could! These chilaquiles are genuinely SO delicious. Every part of them is flavorful and blends well to create a dish that you just can't stop eating. I especially liked the beans, which are not as salty as refried beans often are but were rich with flavor as well. The portions are also HUGE! I thought I would be able to eat my whole plate, but was barely able to put a dent in it. Our server brought us boxes to go, so now I've got breakfast tomorrow too! From the staff to the seating area to the food, Jalapeños feels like a warm welcome home. I'll definitely be back! read more

Unique taco choices. Dine-In Taco Tuesday deals are a pretty good steal! They have a specific menu and you must order a fountain drink with the taco. Tried the chicharron taco and tinga de pollo. Chicharron would have been more enjoyable if it had some texture to it. Tinga de pollo was yummy. Small patio with heating option available. They serve alcohol!! I do not venture downtown very much. I will now thanks to Jalapeños! Went here for Taco Tuesday. It's next to Zelda's and if you blink; you will miss out on some incredible street tacos and drinks. The patio is very tropical and there are a few tables to enjoy the feeling of not being downtown. The people are very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing! You must try the Beer Punch. Wow! Do yourself a favor and give this business a try; you will NOT be disappointed. Tell them James sent you. read more

You preferred me as I was looking for something nearby when I came in everything was clean well organized, and the crewmembers were very plain and kind. Ordered my food, which was a breakfast burrito and it tasted really good. Overall, a very nourishing atmosphere of people that love and enjoy what they do. Another thing that I really like is that they asked and checked up on me as I was there to make sure my experience was great. read more

3.5/5 Came last week for taco Tuesday! They have a specific menu for this with pretty good deals, however you have to get a drink of some kind with it which I may have missed, but didn't see online. Overall, still cheap! I came around 6 and there was a long line, but it went pretty fast. They have tables outside where you seat yourself, so if weather is bad this may not be ideal. I had an asada, chicken and carnitas taco. The chicken and asada was dry, but I would try again. It took about 10 min for my beer and 25min for the tacos to come out. Overall, the staff was very friendly! read more
