Jak's has become my favorite spot to stop at after work for a cold one. I have a couple growlers I fill up regularly and the staff could not be more friendly. I would definitely recommend this awesome brewery to the locals as well as visitors to the area. The restaurant next door will deliver your food or you can partake in the food trucks that show up each evening during the week and at noon on the weekends. The selection of beer is absitively, posolutely fantabulous. My favorite is the JakRabbit and Jakelope DIPA, but I love a nice hoppy beer. They have a large selection as well as several popular guest brews. You will love this place or you are a dork(ette). read more

This is probably the best place to hang out in the blossoming community of Falcon (let's be honest: there's not even a coffee shop here). The owners manage the place well and I dare say the beer is pretty good. My only objection is their choice in music (too heavy and loud to sustain a decent conversation). Hubby and I were up north and stumbled across this place. Decided to stop in for an adult beverage. Pretty neat place. Beer only though, no wine. I know you are a brew pub but what if my hubby drinks beer and I do not??? Tried the barley wine, not to my liking and $9, ouch! Different Food Truck everyday of the week, neat concept. However, it felt like romper room. Multiple young kids running around. Didn't feel like a pub brewery atmosphere. Don't feel you should bring your kids to a brewery but that is my opinion. This is a great brewery! I had the Aggressor Red and it was quite enjoyable. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Contrary to another review, I rather liked the fact that they do not have music or tv playing loudly. Have been here now on two Sundays just after noon. Very simple presentation: 5-8 fresh beer selections ranging from blondes to darks, food available right outside thru food truck, friendly attentive bartender (Shannon), a bit of popcorn for those with the munchies all for consumption at stools, high-tops, reg tables, or sofa/lovechair. Quite surprised how much we've enjoyed this. Been through 4 of the brews liking all from blondes, IPAs, even a sour. Sampled two of the food trucks: one with an astounding gyros (usually Thurs evenings) and crepes (Crepe Caper usually on Sunday's) and will keep returning till I sample the entire crepe menu for sure! read more

Been there twice. Beer is terrible! They ran out of beer the 1st time I was there and only had 2 available the second time which is why I think the beer tastes rushed. The owners are not brew masters, only novice home brewers. It's very clickish too. I couldn't get service from their obviously "sexed up" server. If you're an investor or a friend of the owners then you get service & of course, like the beer. Food trucks are a positive otherwise I'd give them negative stars if I could. It's the only game in town so people will go because it's close. But then again, these are the same people who like Coors & PBR! If you're a REAL craft brew fan, don't waste your time. Take the time and go downtown. Beer is way better at other micro-brews. Or, get your favorite beer at the liquor store and drink in the comforts of your home. It'll be cheaper & safer! read more

Bottom Line Up Front: When I step into this place I feel like I have been transported to the 1980's TV show set for "Cheers" There is not a better place to hang around with friends and throw back some awesome brews! Of course the beer is amazing and there is quite a variety to choose from, personally I love the Brown Eyed Girl but also dig the Irish Red and Coffee Stout; I'm not an IPA guy but the Jackalope double IPA really has a lot going for it. Even those that do not have a beer taste palette will find something they will enjoy. And even better than the beer is the atmosphere, everyone in the place is happy, customers are enjoying themselves! And that's because JAKs' staff is the best in the business! JAKs' staff sets the tone with huge smiles on their faces, prompt, courteous service and are happy, positive people that you want to be around!!! Love this place. Raelly good beer and I like the food trucks. Its always a good time.

Fist time I went the service was awesome, I had an older gentleman take exceptionally good care of me. Last time I visited there were two young bartenders who numerous times ignored me when some younger clientele arrived. After finishing a beer and sitting 5 minutes without being asked if I want another, I threw 6 bucks on the bar and walked out without a thank you, see you next time or any other gratitude. It's too bad, the beer was good, if only the service was half as good. I'll give it one more try because of my first experience. read more

Used to be nice, small town friendly place. Beer has always been average at best, but had good local feel. Recently wait staff except for Julie and Emily is unresponsive and not very friendly. Been a consistent customer since they opened at original location on McLaughlin, but even though I live in neighborhood, think I'll take my business to Black Forest Brewery, where they are all friendly and seem to appreciate your patronage and business. Sad to say this, but really don't feel welcome at JAKs anymore read more

It's a nice place with a friendly atmosphere but a little "clicky" if you're not a regular. I know they do a lot for the community.

Love their location, i'm happy to have a brewery in Falcon, now. Having the food trucks is awesome and we love the variety. The beer selection isn't a changing one like some other newer breweries. I like when breweries have test tap days and have special brews for holidays and such. That is the reason that we continue to go into the springs and try other places selections, at times. read more

Love beer, so we were excited a brewery was coming to our neck of the woods. Pros: 1) It exists. Not much out here in Falcon, so it is a convenient location.. and walkable. 2) Food trucks. They do not serve food, but have food trucks come. Vladi's was there on Friday. 3) Friendly & enthusiastic staff. 4) They seem to be doing great business. Nice mix of people in there. 5) Seems like the did a fundraiser there and are becoming well-connected to the community. Neutral: 1) The beer. We had several kinds. All were very drinkable, but not among our favorite beer in the area. 2) Decor- pretty comfortable. 3) Service- again, friendly, but not super-speedy. Had my beer glass wiped down by a not-super-clean bar rag, which was not awesome. Also, no floor staff. You have to go up to the bar to order. Needs Improvement/Suggestions: 1) Proper glasses! Since all they do is beer, it would be better if they had glasses specific to the types of beer they are serving. Along the same lines, the temperature of the porter and the stout was a bit cold for my liking. 2) More TVs or louder music. Was hard to catch the basketball game due to the position of the single TV. In the absence of a game, music or something other than conversation-noise would be nice. 3) Kids. With the place packed- and only serving beer- the number of kids was a bit annoying. Wasn't an issue of behavior-- all seemed nice and friendly-- more an issue of resources. If we were going to hang out and drink for a while, we'd prefer sitting to standing-- at one point 8 seats (big percentage of seats) were taken by children. I'd be fine w/ that if it were a restaurant, but since the point is beer/drinking, kids seemed a bit out of place. 4) Bar snacks. They had popcorn. More non-food-truck, easy-to-serve food options would be nice too (e.g.peanuts, pretzels... anything). read more

I know because I've known Ken for more than 20 years and was there when he first started brewing ... now his son, Matt, is even in on the tradecraft.
