Kratzy's Bar and Grill - Wasted a few dollars because I didn't win. It's okay haven't tried the food just yet but it's a good place to be snowed in!

Unimpressed...meh…read more First time dropping in for dinner and it was a disappointment. First of all, our wait for a server once we seated ourselves was long. Our server came and dropped menus and was about to run off. I quickly asked her for a water. She then asked my wife what she wanted to drink and then came back a while later with both drinks. We ordered although I don't think she was expecting us to order so quickly (I get the impression fast service isn't their thing). I was not super happy with my meal. I tried their chicken parm sandwich and it was somehow rubbery and overcooked at the same time. The fries weren't too bad, but the sandwich just wasn't good. My wife had the cheesesteak and liked it. Overall, it's more bar than restaurant. Not super impressive. And while they weren't busy, they seemed understaffed. Our server came to our table to serve our drinks, take our order, and bring dinner out...however until we had finished our meal - we didn't see her again. Not to check on us, see if we needed refills or for anything else. Oh well.

Service was friendly and it appears to be a local Hangout…read more Felt safe COVID wise. They appear to be following protocols. Fish sandwich taco was ok but wouldn't get it again. Had beef brisket special with horseradish sauce also just ok. Meat was tough and not a lot of flavor. Mac Salad over salted Wouldn't run back but food wasn't terrible. Craft beer on draft.

Our Guinness even came with a thoughtfully drawn shamrock in the foam! We ordered wings with their Cooley's Sauce. It took a while for them to come out, but the flavor was great! I ordered a burger and my husband got the Reuben. Both were delicious! Looking forward to going to Cooley's again!

There is a bar as well as booth seating but no direction or indication of waiting to be seated or seating yourself. I didn't want to go unnoticed so I sat at the bar. (Most of the tables are past the entry way and bar area). There was a family group, a few couples and a group of guys playing darts off to the side. I sat there for more than five minutes before I was even acknowledged. I know this because I could see the Guinness Countdown to St Patrick's Day (down to the second) from my seat. There were 3 girls behind the bar but one seemed to be doing most of the bar work. As I put on my jacket to leave, I finally had the attention of one of the girls so I decided to take my chances and stick with my dinner plan. She got me a menu and asked for my drink order. There weren't any hard ciders on tap but they did have canned Awestruck (local). I noticed the fried pickle appetizer and asked her about it. She told me they were spears and very popular. I decided to take her recommendation and ordered them, along with a Cooley's Handmade Burger with sautéed mushrooms and swiss cheese. My pickle fries came out first since they were an app and I can tell you two things about them...the portion was huge and they were absolutely the best I've ever had! Not long afterward, my burger arrived and that was really tasty as well. I opted to bring the rest of my pickles home and I can tell you that even the next day, with the help of the air fryer, they were still tasting great! I am so glad I stayed!
