Jakes food (mostly fries) is really good quality, for its price, and for only being a gas station! They also have several aisles, so they aren't lacking on anything. Not a fan of the burgers but THE BEST FRIES! Seriously! Ask for a fresh batch but go through the drive through to get them because the atmosphere inside is a little scary. Also this place has totally saved me on occasion when we are out of milk with no time to go into a store and trek the mile back to the milk section. Why do they do that??? Love the food here but they placed a whopping $500 hold on our credit card after buying gas. Apparently it's legal and they'll return the excess so we only pay the $40 or so the gas actually cost us, but it'll take up to 10 days! I feel bad for anyone who might get hit with an overdraft fee or who needs the extra hold money for other things. Jake's should be honest and tell their customers that they're charging the absolute maximum to their customer's credit/debit cards. It's a pretty gross practice. read more

The foods here is pretty good. To many places like this are realy bad. The place is clean and the people are friendly. There are usually enough people working that there is rarely a line. The downside. Teens hanging out in the small dining room. Bikes and skateboards are often laying about. I have to run a maze to get in and find a seat. The fish was halibut, and you can't go wrong with that, although I'm not a fan of their tartar sauce (it wasn't tangy enough for my taste). It's a neighborly and unselfconsciously hickish gas station, mini mart, and deli. Clean store, friendly staff, and good food. Anglers and hunters stop in for bait and breakfast, old-timers chat and drink coffee whIle the sun stretches over the Eastern mountain, skate kids take a break from the afternoon heat at the nearby skate park, rowdy but not unruly local teenagers will hangout with their friends on a Friday night. read more

I love this place. I've traveled most of America. And this quaint stop has some of my favorite features. Friendly yet likeable family-ish atmosphere, homemade food on the go. Including breakfast burritos. Every fountain drink you can imagine. Coldest fridge/drinks for my hot day cool off. A place to sit and eat, as well as a drive through. And the brand sales last longer here than everywhere else. Car wash next store. Homey atmosphere. I love it. read more

I come here all the time for fountain drinks. We also love the food. Only exception is when the lady is cooking. We've called and complained before, she just doesn't do as well as the other two guys that have made my food. Today my husband went in and she forgot tomatoes on his burger, he asked about it as she said oh well I don't normally put tomatoes on them. Umm, why not if it's supposed to be on there? Just good ol' fashioned fried gas store food. Almost as good as Maverick but they don't make their own bread etc. Fries are decent.

Love their french fries!! I've eaten there 3 times this week... embarrassing I know, but if I'm close and have a short break this is where I go! This place is ok. They often mess up your order. The food is decent. When the ladies are working everything usually turns out ok.

Avoid this business!!! The worst customer service i've ever experienced! The car wash and vacuums are poorly maintained and don't always work. Since i have lost money multiple times I decided to bring the issue to the managers attention. Rather then the manager saying sorry and they will fix the issue, instead the manager said it was all my fault for using their vacuums/car wash and for coming back again to use it a few weeks later. She said i was dumb for putting money in there. She started to yell at me for no apparent reason. To me the issue isn't the problem that i paid for a service and didn't receive it. The problem I have is how awful I was treated. There are lots of gas stations in springville with great customer service that deserve our money. Avoid this business!!! read more

I'd been to this place many times but hadn't ever ordered anything from the grill, but the one time I did I regretted it. I asked how long it would take for the fish and chips to be done, as I was in kind of a rush. The kid told me "Five minutes," so I went ahead and ordered. 20 minutes later, I asked if they were done yet. Another kid waved over the kid I had ordered from, who gave me a baffled look. "Do you think he's retarded? Tell him he's retarded!" the other kid attempted to egg me on, as if he was talking to a classmate and not a 40 year old woman. I reminded him that he had told me it would be 5 minutes and it had been far longer than that. "Do you want them cold?" he snapped, and stalked back to the grill. I got the fish and chips five minutes later, overcooked. I've never had problems getting gas or drinks, but I'll never order from the grill again! read more
