He does thorough examinations and always asks lots of questions to make sure he's making accurate diagnoses. I've also gone to him for a referral before. The specialist he referred me to was also a great doctor and he made sure to try to the best of his ability to help me before having me see a specialist. This felt really helpful to me and the input he was able to give the specialist was really helpful to her as well. He makes going to the doctor a pleasure, or at least not worse than it has to be.

Most of the time when dealing with medical professionals you get the idea that they are more interested in your wallet and prescribing then the actual health of the patient, this is NOT the case with Dr. Lane. I travel quite far to see him and do so every year. I tend to be more inclined to preventative medicine and vitamins, exercise etc and usually this is met with upset from doctors, having been trained to believe there is no other route other than prescriptions etc. Dr. Lane is respectful of my health and always is quick to check anything I want looked into. He also appreciates that I don't wait until something is wrong but am working to prevent things from going wrong through exercise, eating healthy and doing annual physicals. If you are looking for a someone who cares, go to Doctor Lane. His schedule is always packed, but its for good reason.

He saw us through swine flu (awful! but totally manageable because of Dr. Q!), and other ailments. What I loved about him was his thoroughness and attention to detail. Chandra, who sits at the front and sees patients when they first come in, was always able to squeeze me in last minute when I had a cold or flu, and for that I will always be thankful to her. They are both wonderful people, and I have nothing but the best to say about their professionalism and care for patients.

The doctor and his staff are no BS, which I think some yelp reviewers have taken as not caring, though he and his staff were perfectly polite and helpful with my requests and concerns. He begins every appointment with a consultation at a desk and then the treatment is in a different room. This strikes me as a workflow filled with care. I had ample time to ask questions and he answered them honestly. He was happy to use the phrase "I don't know" when he didn't, a phrase which some doctors don't seem to have in their lexicon. His prices are extremely reasonable. He was in network for me, but the potential out of pocket costs are accessible. Tisch Hospital charges $4,000 for a rabies shot out of pocket. He charges $400. It's rare to go to a doctor without any worry of ruinous costs. He and his staff have what I would describe as New York attitudes, by which I mean they are honest, to the point, and don't BS you. If you require an extra calming doctor who will tuck you in to bed and kiss your forehead -- I completely appreciate if you do want that -- this is probably not the doctor for you. If you don't need a forehead kiss but just want cost-conscious, informed treatment, he's your guy.

And with his help, I finally quit smoking after more than 50 years of being a smoker. Tried to make an appt with Dr. Pipia ( my primary Doctor) in early September because I had a bad…read morecough n fever. I was told that the next appt was in late OCTOBER, which I did not make bc that was outrageous. On October 16th I got covid and requested an appt and I was told next available was in late NOVEMEBR. Finally I called for an emergency appt ( bc I was still coughing and feeling sick) on Monday 10/31/22 n was told they would get back to me, that day. They didn't call me until Wednesday. I finally saw Doctor Pipia on Wednesday at noon, who told me that my lungs were still congested and inflamed, most likely from Covid. He stated he was going to send 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy immediately of which he confirmed with me. That never happened. I called on Thursday n Friday n spoke to the staff who reached out to the Doctor both days with No Response. On Monday I pleaded with Jasmin to plz help me, as I was still feeling terrible n coughing. Finally late Monday, 2 scripts was sent to my Pharmacy from another Dr at this office, a Dr. Chang and Jasmin notified me. That is 5 days of needless suffering and it could have been much worse. When I originally chose Dr. Pipia, this year bc I was living in Whitestone, I thought this would run like a normal family type of practice I was dead wrong. I also had a delay of almost 3 weeks of my medication ( which I was taking for approx 3 yrs ) from the Cardiologist at this location bc of an administrator named Matt, apparently not the Doctors fault.
