Well, it didn't. This partial weave cost me $180 I'll never go back there.

It's nice that they have the massage, hand treatment and quiet room for everyone, no matter what you pay. They are also great because they work with everyone's budget. They have different tiers, $15, $30, $40, etc. so it was really easy to work into my budget. Maven is a lot different than any other place I've been to. The hair dressers don't have their own stations, which was strange to me. I'm used to places that feel more like you're at home. Even though Maven was a relaxing experience, it still just felt really uptight, if that makes sense. I may try it again in the future, but I feel like it might just be a one time experience for me.

When I told her it was too dark she told me that I could schedule an appt in 3 months to add more blonde back to it. Then she proceeded to charge me $250. I will not be back.

All my hair would do is lay flat with very little curl. I was ready to just get it all cut off. Lindsey & I discussed my concerns and we decided to get a cut my hair would respond to. I was cautiously optimistic. Lindsey done her magic. We kept my length ( about 3" below shoulders). Now my hair is easy to style and oh boy do I have the curls. I absolutely love my cut. I should have paid attention to the red flag... they make you sign a form that says no refunds. It's as if they already know you will leave disappointed. When I came home, looked in the mirror and let the trauma sink in I called the salon sobbing. I had to travel for work the next day and no way was I going to look like this. Their solution?? Have the same hairstylist fix it. I said, "You mean the one that did this to my hair?!" I was asking her to "fix" it as she was cutting it. It just kept getting worse and I finally had to say it was fine. Why would I want to use that same person. I wasn't asking for my money back but for someone to at least fix it. I was told their manager would be in touch. No one ever called me back. In addition to spending over $70 for the cut, I then had to pay and additional $25 at Great Clips to at least get things a little blended in. There wasn't much they could do (I was left with hardly any hair to work with), but the stylist was at least able to minimize the bowl look.
