I highly recommend Dorothy. I LOVE my hair. I have fine, curly blonde hair so I was worried about getting it cut shorter than normal. Dorothy listened to everything I wanted, didn't try to persuade me into anything. She was also a pleasure to talk to, sometimes its awkward for me sitting there for so long; no problems! They also have a great shampoo station, never been so comfortable. You basically lie down & get your hair washed/massaged. I wish I wasn't moving or I'd be here for every cut! read more

I firstly want to say that I loved my hair dresser as a person. She was kind, easy to talk to, and we bonded on many levels. She also checked many times to make sure I was comfortable with neck positioning. I'm pretty low maintenance, so I didn't mind any of her requests, especially if it was going to help her do a good job. However, aside from her need to frequently reposition my head, this was the most painful brush out, cut, and blow out I've ever had. My hair dresser had to get someone to help her brush out my "tangly hair". So my head was being pulled from one side to the other. I've never had an issue with tangles before. Although I believe many of these issues stemmed from the hair products and even the tools (I didn't recognize any of the brands of hair product and they used a flat paddle brush), I can't overlook the drastic chunk of blonde in the front of my head and the lack of blonde on the opposite side of my part. At the beginning, she asked me where I usually part my hair and although I showed her, I also said "but it's never the same". So, I feel like she focused on that area rather than evenly distributing the foils, which I've also never had a previous hair dresser do. When I left the salon, my hair smelled awful and felt like I just got out of a pool, super dry. I can barely run my fingers through it. I'm going to a wedding this weekend. The highlight and cut will work for this event but not for every day. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience. I'm not happy with my color and will not be returning to this salon. read more

If I could give this salon more than 5 stars I would! I was lucky they were able to work me in this morning, as a lot of other salons in the area just weren't able to. Trinity did a huge chop for me and was awesome all-around. She was super fun to chat with and listened to all of my nit-picky concerns, which my curls and I greatly appreciated. She took her time and played around with my hair until we were both happy with the result! Her name is Dominique and she turned my hair back to normal after another hairdresser completely ruined it. With that $28.00 you obviously get a haircut, but you also get your hair washed and conditioned, head and arm massage, lotion, and a hot towel treatment. My daughter got a haircut and color and the bill was $170. She asked for a certain look and the stylist did not explain the process or how much it would cost. In talking to the stylist afterwards she was not apologetic but kept talking about what tier she was. I asked to speak to the director and owner. Neither were available and did not call me back. I had the best hair cut and service ever. I have lived in many locations and have left the salons feeling blah about my hair cut. Valerie did it right. First, she led me back to a quiet room for washing. She massaged my hair and head while she shampooed. Then she gave a hand, arm and back massage. I have been consistently pleased with the service and attention I receive at Fusion Salon. Kristen is my stylist and she always strives to assure am happy with my results. I love my color and she works with me to achieve the best style for my face and hair type. She is comfortable cutting and styling my straight hair as well as my daughter's extremely curly hair. The atmosphere at Fusion is cosmopolitan and the wash "experience" is awesome and relaxing. They have recently added manicures and I enjoy saving time getting a manicure while my color sets. I always look forward to, when I have an appointment at the end of a long day, being greeted with a refreshing beverage and sitting down to be pampered. It's unfortunate how far the salon has fallen. I absolutely love my stylist, but the gentleman, ( I found out he is the manager), at the front desk makes the experience intolerable. His demeanor comes off rude and incapable of completing the task at hand. He seemed to be irritated and overwhelmed. After much confusion with my appointment that was obviously made incorrectly, he made it feel like it was my fault. read more

Having recently relocated here, I was nervous looking for a colorist and stylist and a new salon. (I have been there twice now, both equally just as pleasing). Fusion went well beyond my expectation. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and attentive. The colorist was amazing (Kristen) and my color has turned out absolutely beautiful and perfect, again, beyond my expectations! Atmosphere? Okay, so I have been going to Sage Tryall for years and highly recommend their salon if you want your hair done right and not to be disappointed like I was yesterday when I decided to go to Fusion Salon on Wiggington Road because getting a last minute appointment at Sage with Maria a platinum level stylist would be close to impossible. So I was supposed to have a blowout and trim (I'm biracial). I came with hair I had already straightened myself 3 days before with a Paul Mitchell blow dryer. Stylist says she wants to cut it first while it's straight ( I'm ocd about my roots which is why I go to Sage or a salon at allto get blowouts). The haircut wasn't anything like my Sage stylist would've done! Maria just seems more Meticulous and also Sage charges by the level of the hair stylist. I was never charged to get my hair washed at Sage, just cut, and yes it was high but they washed and styled for free and let me add that fusion is trying too hard to copy their wash room to no comparison because the 5 minutes it took you to wash my hair is nothing compared to the 30+ minutes Sage washes and does scalp massages and more. I just felt uncomfortable! I'm sure it was written all over my face. She didn't Even take the brush out of plastic that she used on me. I could immediately see all the waves at the root area especially when I parted it down the middle when I got to my car. I could've done a better job myself. Oh, and instead of getting all the hair blown completely out with the blow dryer and a round brush, she used a flat brush and dried the hair without making all of it straight (which even YouTube videos teach) and then went to a flat iron which left waves in my hair at the root. I was thinking in my head " okay, this is what you get for a $40 hair appointment and at the register it came up to $60 and all I had was a cut and wash and I declined the arm massage and warm towel on face so what am I being changed $60 for. I'll have to get Sage to fix this screw up. Please don't waste your money at this place. read more

I found Fusion Salon by Google pretty much and being interested with a Paul Mitchell inspired salon. It was an incredible experience. The staff was very friendly and made me feel super comfortable. I was at the salon for almost 3 hours but between the nice conversation and the awesome shampoo/spa room I didn't realize it. For Women who take pride in their hair sometimes it is literally impossible to find a stylist that you like personality wise and love talent wise. This salon has everything I have EVER looked for in a salon. Everyone here is crazy good at recommending looks, they are constantly trying new techniques and educating themselves on the latest trends. Their prices aren't unrealistic either. The Wash House experience is amazing! Massages, tranquil music and relaxation is enough to make me open my purse for a weekly blowout. These stylists are amazing. My Stylist Brittany B. has me on a schedule to come back for touch ups every 8-9 weeks on my highlights. Can I just tell you even when I'm on my 7th week people are still complimenting me on my hair as if I just got it done. I trust them fully with my hair no questions asked. I booked an appointment with Dorothy (salon owner) and I was amazed at how well she listened to me and took the time to understand what I was wanting. She talked through my desired hair color and cut until we were both absolutely sure of what I wanted. Dorothy and all of the fusion staff are amazing... truly. I always feel cared for and listened to. I always leave loving my hair more than I did the time before. Fusion also provides a hand, head, and neck massage (complimentary) when shampooing your hair!
