Donna Singer was my therapist and I can't sing her praises high enough. She knew what exercises to have me do and was very encouraging and knowledgeable. And the fact that this Center is associated with HSS gave me more confidence that I was in the right hands. From my observation, I think all of the therapists there are highly trained. I wound up in the hospital with a skin infection on the hip I was operated on and I never even spoke to the Dr. through the time I was in the hospital, always a PA. when I did get to see him he was nasty to me and told my wife to be quiet. He told me I missed an appointment. I told him I was in the hospital the day of my appt and even called his Office to cancel while still in the hospital. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful Dr that took me on as a patient. I am now five months out and still having pain and swelling. Take your time and check out other Drs and surgery options. The anterior approach is not the best for everyone. Get an evaluation from a Dr that performs both types of hip replacements and don' t let the doctor talk down to you or give you a sales pitch.

He spent 45 minutes talking with me during my initial appointment and made sure to define every foreign term that he mentioned. He wants to get to know you as a person first, then he treats you. The day after my surgery, he called me personally to see how I was doing. He also checks in with my hand therapist regularly and is always well informed. He is worlds apart from my previous doctor who couldn't remember my name and asked me to remind him what he did and said at my last visit. It never takes more than a few days to get an appointment and the wait time in the office is less than 10 minutes. Excellent experience overall. Dr. Johnson would get more than 5 stars if I could choose that option.

I had a bad surgery result with Dr. Bloomstein. Months after his surgery on my foot it became…read morepainful and so another MRI was done. The report from the radiologist stated problems with the tendons. Dr. Bloomstein dismissed these findings and told me not to have reconstruction surgery and so I trusted him. That was my mistake to listen to him. After a few months, the pain became unbearable and I found another surgeon who fixed the problem.

But Kevin and his team were absolutely wonderful from day one! They made me feel comfortable and confident that I would get stronger and be able to get my strength back in my elbow and hand. They have done everything possible to help me heal! I was very apprehensive at first but after my consultation with Kevin (owner) my apprehensiveness melted away. From the moment I called and spoke to Denise (Kevin's lovely wife) to help confirm that my insurance was accepted & scheduling my sessions I felt right at ease. The care in which Kevin as well as his assistants, Alise & Taylor was remarkable & so extremely helpful to my recovery. They are so easy to chat with and so lovely & caring. There was never more than 2-3 other sessions going on when I was there for my session & they consistently asked "How are you...how is that feeling..."
