My therapist (Donna Singer) has worked with me during each visit, and I'm happy to say that my progress has been excellent. I work hard in my sessions, and, so does my therapist! Over the past five (5) weeks, I've also noticed that the other therapists work very hard, and they're genuinely concerned about the well-being and progress of their clients, too. I especially like the sense of camaraderie between everyone. It makes for a very positive and productive environment...to heal oneself. I think highly of the office staff too. They are caring and friendly, and they've gone out of their way to be very helpful. Appointments are easily made, and if something needs to be changed, they aim to please. I absolutely recommend Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center. The level of professionalism and care here, is second to none!

I came to Spear PT at Ft Monmouth experiencing lower back pain for a couple of years. I had gone…read morethrough PT before with little to no success but was optimistic that my experience would be better based on my initial consultation with Zach and my early sessions with Megan. These two are second to none. They immediately diagnosed my issue and focused on exercises and stretches that would give me immediate relief. Throughout the process they genuinely cared about my health and started every session with understanding how I felt after the last session along with my current condition that day. The program each session was tailored towards doing the foundational stretches and strengthening exercises that proved to be effective overall and they also sprinkled in others that allowed for progression and overall back health. Although my back was the issue and that was the primary focus, they also dealt with my issue holistically by also providing exercises focused on my legs. I believe this was the key and led to significant improvement. They also explained every stretch and exercise and its impact and exactly the proper technique. This was a differentiator because my experience with other PT programs was that the primary doctor would work with me for the first 10 minutes and then they would have an associate work me through the exercises and stretches. My experience is that the majority of these associates simply went through the motions and were servicing several patients therefore do not really observe to ensure the exercises are being done correctly. Both Zach and Megan worked with me the entire session, understood my progress, knew the exercises that worked for me and watch intently as I did these exercises correcting and advising me on how to make them most effective. Lastly, which probably is the goal of every PT program, they provided me the most effective program that I can do myself at home once my treatment period was over. I feel they absolutely provided me the tools I needed to manage my back pain long after my time with them. In closing, Zach and Megan are very effective and efficient at what they do and to top it off they are both genuinely very nice and caring people who get to know their patients at a personal level and make the time spent with them enjoyable while being effective. Bed-side manner does matter and they are both excellent both technically and personality wise. I recommend them both very highly.

We humans have a tendency to get negative rather quickly. We may focus on "what we can't do" vs. "what we can do." That being said, it isn't too often when health care providers come in and out of our lives and can make a difference. Sometimes the provider is brutally honest, sees the situation for what it is, and gives up on us. Other times, they may placate our problems with a smile, without giving us what we need to get well. Some providers are excellent practitioners technically, but lack a pleasant bedside manner and make us feel uncomfortable when we have questions or concerns. Then there are the providers at Advanced PMR in the Red Bank location. They will effectively diagnose your problem, give you the best means possible to get well, have a positive and welcoming bedside manner, encourage you, and provide information to help you manage forward long after your visits are over.
