Not only is this office liars because no pharmacy sells this medicine directly to patients, but also extremely unprofessional as I have spoken to over 6 people at this office, repeat the issue they created and each has promised a call back with guidance on where to get this medicine. And, no one calls back. My mom is in between treatments and in pain and this careless group has made no effort to support and help her as a patient. They asked my mom to visit the office, gave her a prescription that cannot be accepted at any pharmacy and for doing nothing, charged Medicare. Terrible unprofessional and unethical group.

After being involved in a car accident on Thanksgiving Eve 2025, my pain management doctor instructed me to begin physical therapy 2-3 times a week, which I am still actively doing. At my recent follow-up appointment with my pain management doctor, it was recommended that I continue therapy, and I truly believe Christine is a huge reason for the progress I have made. I was so happy to be able to track Christine down because I truly trust her care and dedication. Christine is compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about her patients and their healing journey. She takes the time to listen, encourages you through the difficult days, and creates a supportive environment that makes recovery feel possible. I also absolutely love the facility itself. From the helpful and welcoming front desk staff to all of the assistants who work alongside the therapists, everyone is kind, caring, professional, and simply awesome. You can truly feel the positive atmosphere the moment you walk through the door. I am beyond grateful for the support, encouragement, and care I continue to receive, and I highly recommend Christine and the entire team to anyone in need of physical therapy.

There's a reason Dr. Savarino has an impeccable reputation. HE CARES. His practice is more than about making money, or selling you something you don't need, or giving you some biased opinion on something that may or may not help you. Everything out of his mouth comes from that muscle deep in his chest. It's that muscle that many Drs don't use enough of. For many of them, their brains get in the way. Their greed, their god complex, their egos get in the way. Dr. Savarino is not just your Dr, he becomes your friend. How many Drs are truly available and open to guiding you into making informed and educated decisions on your health. How many patients become more than just a number? Some Drs become desensitized and only see dollar signs. They don't see you as a person who may be a little confused just looking for guidance. I can't even tell you how grateful I am that someone like Dr. Savarino exists. He's what every Dr should aspire to be. If there is a service Dr. Savarino offers that you are interested in making a consultation for then do not think twice. You won't find many like him...not just as a Dr but as an overall decent human.

"Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow."…read more Plato (427 BC - 347 BC) You don't have to be a Greek philosopher to know that it's pretty easy to get discouraged when you are in pain. We humans have a tendency to get negative rather quickly. We may focus on "what we can't do" vs. "what we can do." That being said, it isn't too often when health care providers come in and out of our lives and can make a difference. Sometimes the provider is brutally honest, sees the situation for what it is, and gives up on us. Other times, they may placate our problems with a smile, without giving us what we need to get well. Some providers are excellent practitioners technically, but lack a pleasant bedside manner and make us feel uncomfortable when we have questions or concerns. Then there are the providers at Advanced PMR in the Red Bank location. They will effectively diagnose your problem, give you the best means possible to get well, have a positive and welcoming bedside manner, encourage you, and provide information to help you manage forward long after your visits are over. Special gratitude goes to Jennifer Hicks and Dr. Rob Kohutanycz for their tireless attention; time, knowledge, and tenacity in helping me get to a better place.
