Dr. Armin Tehrany of Manhattan Orthopedic Care (MOC) repaired both my shoulders, four months apart,…read morein 2020. My shoulders had deteriorated over a period of years. By the time they became unbearable, each needed nearly everything fixed; labrum, rotator cuff, bicep tenodesis, bone spurs, arthritis, etc., souvenirs of decades of weight training and as a police dog handler. In my late forties, my normal routine of five days of running, or lifting in the gym became four, then two, then none. Training with the dogs, my job and my passion, became an ordeal to be endured. My sleep was affected. I had constant pain, even at rest. I was referred to Dr. Tehrany by my regular doctor, and soon discovered that he is especially supportive of first responders. As I contemplated surgery I heard from the usual doomsayers: "Don't do it!" "You'll never be right!" "I know a guy who..." I am so glad that I didn't listen to them. The doctor's reputation, his philosophy, and his people gave me the confidence to move forward. Their plan wasn't just to relieve my pain, it was to give me back full function, the ability to get strong again, and to do all the things I like to do. I visited the Staten Island office. The staff there was always great. They made scheduling the surgeries a breeze. Billing was never a problem, and MOC accepted my insurance without issue. Office personnel were friendly, and responsive. Appointments were always timely. Dr. Tehrany's medical team is exceptional. He, along with his surgical PAs and anesthesiologist, practice as a unit to ensure consistency and high standards. Of special note is Physician Associate Tim Lopresti. Tim became my go-to guy, always available and happy to answer my questions, and follow my progress. Both surgeries were performed at surgical centers in Manhattan. The care I received at each was top notch, compassionate and efficient. The toughest part was three weeks in an immobilizing sling after each surgery. That seems to be universally agreed, among shoulder surgery patients. Through it all, I never needed any post-operative pain medication. Of course MOC checked on me and made sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Tehrany's post-surgical strategy is to get you into physical therapy almost immediately, within just a few days. His office recommended a PT provider, and they were terrific. As a result, only four months after the surgery on my right shoulder, I was ready to fix the left. The first experience naturally left me better prepared for the second. Once again, the surgery was completely successful. I went right back to physical therapy. As before, the MOC office staff handled the billing and administration without a hitch. Tim Lopresti stuck by me throughout my rehab. The plan was to give me my life back, and Dr. Armin Tehrany, PA Tim Lopresti and the entire team at Manhattan Orthopedic Care did just that. I will always be grateful.

He also happens to be my husbands podiatrist so as soon as I got health insurance, I made an appointment to see Dr. Klein for a foot ailment that I had. The staff in his office are very nice and he keeps a professionalism when treating patients. He was able to tell me what my ailment was and what my options were: surgery or leave it. Because it was painful I opted for surgery. After that visit, from my pre-surgical consultation, when he explained what will happen and what complications might arise, to my prep immediately preceding my ambulatory operation, to each of my follow-up visits when he checked how my foot was healing, his caring demeanor and sense of humor kept me at ease the entire time. If all goes well, my stitches come out tomorrow.

I broke a bone in my foot , the few times I was at the office she did not see me , the PA did , including the time that I was 9 minutes late because of traffic and she then refused to see me .. Her staff was just as rude .. The PA dismissed me and told me that I was healed and fine from an X-Ray ... Did not need the boot any longer , 2 weeks later went to another Dr . Who did an MRI which she never had done and my foot wasn't even close to being healed .. He ordered me a totally different type of boot and a foot stimulater.. Don't ever go to Dr . Alpert , if u can help it ..

I know the place was a physical therapy until my second visit. the therapist assigned to me…read morebrought me in only for me to be handed over to a 16-year-old assistant, who was reading the steps off of a piece of paper handed to him instructing him on what exercises he should have me do. Zero care and effort from the entire team to the point that I was laying down on my table for a good 15 minutes until I decided to leave after realizing that they have totally neglected me and my care. No one even asked me where I'm going or did I'm not finished yet so I went to the front desk and told him I will not be coming back any further more do not build my insurance for any future visits and I would definitely not be recommending this place to any friends or family Or enemies dor that matter. I mean Truly a shitty place offering shitty experience to people looking to get back to life and recover from their injury. So now im out there looking for a Real therapy place and not a f**king mill! First experience was my last as I am sure it is/was for many others
