Extremely unprofessional and VERY irresponsible. Without any warning, they dilated my pupils and never informed me that I might not be able to drive safely afterward. I had another appointment to attend and they told me it would be okay if I drove myself that way, but driving afterward was extremely difficult due to severe glare and light sensitivity. It was so bad that I nearly crashed my vehicle. They provided NO protective eyewear and no warning to arrange for someone to drive me prior the appoinment. What makes this even worse is that I returned and specifically told them about this dangerous experience and suggested they warn patients in advance. Yet on my today's visit, nothing had changed. They didn't warm me again so I refused to let them perform the procedure and walked out of the appointment. When I raised the issue with Crystal, the "manager", she was rude, dismissive, and actually she blamed me for not knowing my pupils would be dilated. Patients should not have to guess what procedures will be performed. As I was leaving, the receptionist politely asked me what had happened. While I was explaining my concerns, Crystal came up behind me and aggressively tried told me to get out of the office I bet because other patients could hear the conversation. Her behavior was shocking, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. After being treated this way and seeing that my safety concerns were ignored I will definetely will scalate this concern. Many elderly patients visit this office, and this lack of communication could easily lead to a serious accident or injury, even DEATH Instead of addressing a legitimate patient safety concern, management seemed more interested in silencing complaints than protecting patients. Before scheduling with Dr. Jaffe, read this. I spent three months and three pre-operative appointments preparing for cataract surgery scheduled for April 24, 2026 -- only to be informed that Dr. Jaffe's practice had decided to stop accepting my insurance. My surgery date is now gone. My preparation is worthless. I have to start over with a new physician while my eyesight continues to decline. This is not a billing error or a minor inconvenience. A practice that schedules multiple pre-op visits without disclosing a known insurance change is not operating with its patients' interests in mind. read more

The reviews here were excellent and I was able to make with the office easily. In fact, not only was I able to make appointments for my husband and myself, as new patients, they were able to get us in within a couple of weeks. Kudos to the front desk for being organized and on top of things. Located in an office complex on Linton Blvd and Military trail in Delray Beach, there is plenty of parking right in front of the office. The staff is wonderful. The woman at the front desk is friendly. The office is professional and spotless. On our two seperate appointments, the office was running on time. Dr. Jaffe was very knowledgeable and personable. After having shingles close to my eye a few years ago, I usually see the optometrist yearly but thought now it's time to see the ophthalmologist too. I am a firm believer of being pro-active and not re-active when it comes to doctors. Dr Jaffe was very thorough, and I was relieved that he was able to see that my eyes were healthy. My daughter went through insurance and went to see Dr Adriana Saker The first day we went there they said they made a mistake she had to see Dr Saker so they brought my daughter in at 8:00 The next day The office staff was nice, but I was so appalled by the filthiness of this office. When I sat in the room with my daughter to get eye examination, there was hairballs human hairballs in the corner of the doors around The floor base of the room it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The chair for the guest to sit into was stuck behind the patient's chair you could barely move in and out of it. The place is very dark and looks like they haven't remodeled it in centuries or cleaned ...It was like going to a free clinic. My daughter had a stye and the doctor said that she could removed it, but had to wait to get approval from the insurance no problem, but she would be missing some of her eyelashes and bruising could last for weeks, etc., etc when leaving the office, my daughter my decided there's no way she's getting any work done here went to another doctor paid out-of-pocket no problem and had the procedural done. No problem with it whatsoever. If your office is that dirty filthy, I would be scared to death. Have any surgery there and apparently the owners do not care. Try to contact The.office manger Crystal before writing, this never heard back from her at the other place, we went to there was bruising for a day none of her eyelashes were removed . if the office and the staff or the owners do not care about the cleanliness of the office or up-to-date procedures, please don't get your eyes done here read more

The front staff there is horrible. They could not find my referral and did not give me a chance to get it from my Dr. I really needed to be seen before a surgical procedure. Totally not flexible. I had to reschedule. Then it happened twice more. My doctors office provided me with a paper hard copy and they still cancelled my appointment again. I had very high hopes for my appointment with Dr. Jaffe. I've suffered with dry eyes for 10+ years and was concerned with increased blurriness and discomfort in my left eye over the last few months. The front desk worker was pleasant and the tech who did my intake exam was fine. They both stated I would be meeting with Dr. Saker. I was surprised when Dr. Jaffe Sr. came in to see me instead. He was dismissive and condescending. He told me that I work in IT and to blink more and to use drops, basically pushing me out. When I tried to have a conversation with him about his findings, he was short and impatient. He scoffed when I told him I've had corneal perforations in the past. When I asked if he thought my vision could be impacting my discomfort, he told me to go to Costco if I wanted an eye exam. He also told me to just go buy some eye drops (no recommendations or samples). At the end, I asked about tear duct plugs, which had been helpful in the past. He said no, he doesn't do those. When pushed, he said I could make a different appointment with Dr. Saker (who I was actually supposed to see). I spoke to the front desk on my way out and expressed my disappointment in the fact that nothing was done for me. I asked if Dr. Saker could swing by instead, since she was who I was scheduled to see and she does plugs. I would like her input. I was told no because they already billed insurance and proceeded to shame me for booking online. I was shaken up and disappointed for several days afterwards. I swear this women hates her job. I was rushed, could not get in any questions and left feeling very let down. My next appointment was with Dr. Jaffe who was just as bad and totally obnoxious. He was too busy to answer ONE question regarding cataract surgery and left the room. I was given a phone number to call their surgical coordinator Crystal for an appointment to get my eyes measured. I had both of my cataracts taken car of by Dr Jaffe. One was done about five years ago and one about a month ago. Dr Jaffe is a true professional. About a year ago I made a appointment to have my left eye looked at by Doctor Jaffe And he refused to do the surgery because it was not ready. How many surgeons would refuse a surgery. After one year I went back because of blur that made driving at night difficult. This time he agreed to do the surgery. I now have 20/20 vision in my left eye and 20/30 in my right eye. It's amazing I can now read street signs two blocks away. If possible I would give him ten stars for sure. Oh, I do not need to wear glasses now! read more

STAY AWAY if you don't want to be financially taken advantage of. I needed cataract surgery in one eye. I was informed that they could cut into my eyeball and my insurance would cover it, or they could do a laser procedure, which they said is more accurate and better, but insurance doesn't cover that. My cost, they told me, would be $1800, plus the copay for the anesthesiologist. When I got to the BOYNTON BEACH AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER they charged me a $300 copay. (They will get their own review -- but the place was so bad I almost got off the table and left because the idiot who attempted to insert the IV didn't have a clue. She stuck me 3 times, then started moving the needle around inside my arm until I cried and said I was leaving!) Today, FOUR MONTHS after the surgery, I get Bill for $550 from the surgery center charging me the difference between what my insurance allows for the procedure and their outrageous $3000 for simply using the facility. All of these people are crooks. They will screw us over without skipping a beat. Just awful. read more

I had one visit to be evaluated for cataract surgery. I saw Dr. Jaffe himself. I had (some of this done by an assistant) the most thorough eye exam I've ever had, and I've seen opthamologists before. He spent quite a bit of time explaining the characteristics of each lens, making sure I understood why the cataract replacement would not be the best option; I'd be dissatisfied with the results. And this arguing against the procedure he'd make money from. --------- This over one year later. I have lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3. I ended up scheduled for cataract surgery and I feel my questions have not been answered and that the doctor didn't listen to me, so I have cancelled the surgery for now and am seeking a second opinion. read more

No muss no fuss, very friendly staff and doctor, immediately worked to meet my needs, and one of the only opthomologists within 50 miles that accepts Florida Blue HMO with an EMI referral. Dr Jaffe sliced my Iris during cataract surgery . Then blamed me saying I moved during surgery. I had to go to Dr kabul to have his mistake repaired. When I ran out of meds for my eye Crystal sold me a sample for $70. When I questioned her and Dr Jaffe they gave me a BS story how they have these meds made up special for him. Be aware ! We had a meeting with Dr. Saker. I translated for my 15 year old nephew and for his mother. So I witnessed the whole ordeal! From the moment Dr. A. Sacker entered the room, she was very nervous! Without mother's permission, she proceeds to the procedure on my nephew's eye. She dropped the needle she was going to use and never replaced it. She grabbed my nephew and was about to start poking him in the eye. Mom kept trying to get the doctor's attention and get her to stop. The doctor continued to raise her voice and become more and more nervous. She kept repeating the same thing over and over again! We said that we heard exactly what needs to be done, but we were not happy that Dr. A. Saker was doing the procedure and that we wanted to leave. Then manager M. Carcamo enters the room, and she was just as nervous and aggressive like a doctor. Their behavior was very aggressive towards us. We kept telling them that we weren't comfortable there and we wanted to leave. My nephew got sick under all the pressure and stress he faced. We were almost forced to leave the room. today 08/10/2022 my 15 y.o son had appointment with Dr Adriana Saker, which was very shocking and stressful. we experienced unprofessionalism, rudenesses, negligence with a threat to my son's health from dr Saker and her female assistant. the doctor didn't inform me about the procedure, didn't get my consent, didn't prepare my son about further actions, very quickly took out non-sterile tweezers from the nightstand, which was among various personal belongings, tried to get into my son's eye, I asked what she was going to do, without receiving response, she continued her actions. took the needle, the needle fell out of her hands, everyone saw it, she said that she would get something out of my son's eye with these tools ... .. I asked to stop this process, to which I was confronted with screams and rudeness from the the doctor and her assistants. I'm afraid to imagine the consequences after the actions of this doctor. Horrible Experience today. I took my elderly mother to an appointment at Jaffe Eye Instituteand for my moms safety we had to walk out. Sadly, my mom has been waiting weeks for this appointment and needed to see the doctor. We arrived more than 30 minutes early and completed all the paperwork. The appointment was for 2 PM about 10 minutes before the appointment time the receptionist Jennifer Informed us that we need a referral. She mediately stated that we probably need to reschedule the appointment. At this time it was about 1:53 PM, remember our appointment was for 2 PM and we still have a 15 minute window until 2:15PM. I connected with the doctors office and they stated that they would fax in the referral. However, Jennifer was adamant that we reschedule. She didn't even try to reschedule on the spot, she asked us to call in WTH. We were about to leave but the manager at the doctors office heard the whole this and told us to ask for the Office Manager. We walked back in the office and Jennifer literally rolled her eyes at us. Lol, yes she did. My daughter commented and said, "mom did you see that lady rolled her eyes at us?" I'm going to assume that Dr. Jaffe is a good doctor. However, he has someone working in the front, representating his business - who DOES NOT CARE AND SIMPLY WANTS A PAYCHECK. People like Jennifer needs to be in the back office filing papers. terrible, million times terrible. emery and the manager kaila awful! i am trying to get the authorization for a eye drop that doctor emery jaffe prescribed me a month ago, called several times and they dont do the proper job. emery fiil up the form from insurance with my information from last year so the insurance did not authorized. she did not bothered to look the year and see the right doctor (since i changed doctors) and the right prescription. after a month calling many times for this office and the insurance i decided speak to the manager. that was even worse!!!! she read the same chart from the last year like the other lady, when i told her she was reading the last year chart she told me that i was insulting her and believe or not she hang up the phone on me. how terrible is that? after a month batlling for a prescription they still treat a pacient like that. insurance also left a message and nobody answered. after all they are charging me the copayment that i already paid last year. the worst place ever ever ever!!!!!! please dont waste your time going there. i will have to go there tomorrow before work and try to resolve this matter in person because people are not competent to fax to the insurance the prescription that the doctor gave you. also there is no way to speak to them on phone and they are beyond disrespectful!!!!!!!!! read more
