Two years later, we went in for cleanings. I have never accepted fluoride & we only do x-rays at the minimum my insurance allows. This was nothing new, but this time Booker seemed offended & expressed his frustration to me. I said that was my wishes & we hadn't had an issue before, but he wanted to argue. I declined, finished the cleaning & left. 6 months later I went in & needed to get an old filling replaced. I had just had a doctor's appt where she told me to be careful what type of filling I get for medical reasons. When I expressed this to Booker & asked questions about what he uses he said he wanted my doctor's name because he was going to tell her she didn't know what she was talking about. I said that is very aggressive & he proceeded to tell me that I just need to let him do his job. He could not tell me what type of filling material he used or any health risks. He then started ranting about people who ask too many questions. I declined for him to do my work. His attitude & aggressive behavior is disturbing. He has an attitude like no one knows more than him, but he can't even tell you the materials he uses. I decided then I would not return. The next time my husband took my kids, the receptionist asked him if he was competent enough to make follow up appointments or if she should call me. Extremely sexist & just plan rude. My kids then did not return. My husband was the last holdout, until now. This week, he has an emergency. He was in a car accident & cracked a tooth. He called the office at 11 am to find out they had different hours for spring break... they closed at noon. However they didn't answer the phone at 11 am... he left a message to say he had an emergency. Nothing. No call back. He called again today & it says now that they are closed until Monday. He then received a message saying they wouldn't take care of him until Monday. Who closes their office for Spring Break? This business is so unprofessional. We're done.

I had never had a good experience with a dentist in my life (maybe because I have a tiny child mouth and I'm always being yelled at to "open wider"...) so, I almost never went to the same one more than a couple times. I was hesitant to start over at another place, but I am so glad I did... On walking in, you can tell everyone loves working there and that they are a family. Dr Greg and Dr Joanne (married couple practice, how nice?) are so sweet they provide their own figurative job security; plus they have gadgets for checking your teeth that I had never heard of (including this thingy you can rest your teeth on that holds my tiny child mouth open for fillings, etc.) and the whole staff is excellent at what they do. In addition to regular cleanings, I had Six-Month-Smiles (quick braces thingies) to re-straighten my teeth before my wedding, so I got to spend more time there than the average patient which allowed me more time to observe the interactions between the hygienists, assistants, techs, doctors, and other patients. They also gave me straight answers to all my questions and corrected an improper diagnosis from a previous unethical dentist. Glad I trusted my instincts and came here for a second opinion. It saved me alot of time and needless worry! Office is nice, has good music and tvs in the patient rooms. Also, no weird smells of perfume or cologne from any staff members (other dentist offices smelled strongly of perfumes that made me nauseated). Staff is professional and transparent abt procedures, costs and insurance issues. I had follow up questions after my procedure and they all answered promptly for after care instructions.

She helped me through my paperwork and got me in to see the Dr.KP in a matter of minutes. Once I was in the room Dr. KP and his helpful assistant took my X-rays and discussed what my available options were in order to deal with this excruciating pain I was in. After a few moments of reviewing the x-rays and gathering the tools for the extraction I was sure I was in good hands. He was very professional precise and most of all painless. They called me saying that I needed to come in and get the images retaken to make the crown. Then I had many messages saying it came in. I don't think it ever came in. But I was billed for it. I feel like a freak because I love going to the dentist…read more Before I began visiting Dr. Cohen, I had already sat through a ton of dental work including a few extractions, countless fillings and a couple temporary crowns with several dentists. I *really* didn't like dentists before I met Dr. Cohen because my teeth had been treated carelessly by the dentists before him. But ask me now about going to the dentist and I'll say I love it. I mean, like everyone, I still hate getting my teeth cleaned and the terrifying sound of a drill against my tooth, but overall Dr. Cohen and his team make sitting in the dentist chair the best possible experience. I'm mainly updating my review to say this is still an awesome dental office. I now live in Dearborn but drive out of my way to have my dental needs taken care of in Wyandotte. I recently had to have 2 more crowns done (sucks, I know!) and they were both great experiences. Dr. Cohen and his amazing dental assistants always make sure to explain what he's doing, make sure I can't feel anything and that I'm as comfortable as possible. They even take care to put a moisturizer on your lips to make sure your lips and corner of your mouth don't get cracked during a procedure and give you sunglasses to keep the bright light (and water!) out of your eyes. His office still offers the amazing paraffin wax treatment, along with a nice, heavy shoulder massage wrap. They also have an iPad to play with while waiting for the doctor to come in, how cool is that? In addition, I noticed they made a few upgrades to the way they examine your teeth in regard to total body health. Again, if you're looking for an awesome, tech-savvy, considerate dentist with assistants and staff that truly care about you, please consider Dr. Cohen in Wyandotte. I hated dentists before I started going there but now, I can say: "Yep, I love going to the dentist."
