They give you a complimentary paraffin wax treatment on your hands during your treatments/cleanings and cover you with a warm blanket. The office is beautiful and clean. Staff is punctual, friendly, skilled, professional, and knowledgeable. Juanita is very personable and sweet. My only real complaint would be that they try to push a lot of extra stuff on you. Juanita Bahroos's husband is also a dentist and they push his services on you during your whole appointment every time. Stuff like whitening, braces, veneers, and extra services to scan for cancer are offered repeatedly. These "extra services" aren't covered by insurance and only claim to be able to detect oral cancer slightly sooner. And there seems to be a new option every 6 months.

Then they decided to only clean half of my teeth! My teeth are in very good condition and i don't need any other work. Afterwards they told me it was because my time was up, despite only taking about twenty minutes to clean half of my teeth. Then they try to schedule a follow up visit to finish the cleaning and charge me another $410! For a simple cleaning with good teeth! They are intentionally ripping people off with their "bait and switch" scam. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

I had one successful cleaning I went back in late July for my second cleaning with no pain no issues. The tech wanted to do a multitude of x-rays on me. I questioned whether or not they would be covered because I've never had so many mouth x-rays done she assured me it was covered by my insurance and that I was overdue after a very aggressive cleaning the dentist came in. He did a review. He seemed fixated on an area in the back, where I had a filling he kept asking me if that area was a problem catching food in between my teeth because I had a gap between my teeth there I said no I don't have any problems with that area. He asked the technician to pull it up on my x-rays and she said yeah I saw that area also? Never did I think she had knocked my filling out and he was seeing a hole. I went home and about four hours later I went to eat dinner and I had some onions and the pieces of onions were getting stuck in between my teeth and caught on the rough edges after doing some investigating I realized my filling was completely gone. The office was closed. I called the next morning and they couldn't get me in for four days. when I did go in, I told them everything I'm saying here they would not take responsibility for it. The best would do is to admit that she must've loosened it. They did some new x-rays. They told me they weren't gonna charge me for that and just as I suspected, the filling was gone I had to get a filling replacement. I was charged for that. believe it or not, I was still gonna go back for my next cleaning until today when I got my bill. Turns out those x-rays that I was getting with that Cleaning we're not all covered when I told them why I thought I shouldn't have to pay for it. They said I owed the money and They had a bunch of excuses, they said my insurance must've changed. They had no way of knowing and that I owe the money. I questioned why they didn't do a pre-authorization considering x-rays can be very expensive and I had questioned the tech before she did them. They said they never do that. That is unheard of the person I was speaking to has been in the field for 35 years and never did that before for a routine cleaning with x-rays so I paid the money and then I immediately came here to warn all of you. I heard that many of the previous staff members that left after the practice was sold went to smiles for life. That's where I'll be going now.

When they opened back up, they called and said my kids had to come in one by one & I was not allowed to come in. They explained that they would have suits & masks on & I said no way. My kids are not coming in alone, first, & especially when they can't identify the adults. There was no compromise. So, I said we would come back after the madness ended. Two years later, we went in for cleanings. I have never accepted fluoride & we only do x-rays at the minimum my insurance allows. This was nothing new, but this time Booker seemed offended & expressed his frustration to me. I said that was my wishes & we hadn't had an issue before, but he wanted to argue. I declined, finished the cleaning & left. 6 months later I went in & needed to get an old filling replaced. I had just had a doctor's appt where she told me to be careful what type of filling I get for medical reasons. When I expressed this to Booker & asked questions about what he uses he said he wanted my doctor's name because he was going to tell her she didn't know what she was talking about. I said that is very aggressive & he proceeded to tell me that I just need to let him do his job. He could not tell me what type of filling material he used or any health risks. He then started ranting about people who ask too many questions. I declined for him to do my work. His attitude & aggressive behavior is disturbing. He has an attitude like no one knows more than him, but he can't even tell you the materials he uses. I decided then I would not return. The next time my husband took my kids, the receptionist asked him if he was competent enough to make follow up appointments or if she should call me. Extremely sexist & just plan rude. My kids then did not return. My husband was the last holdout, until now. This week, he has an emergency. He was in a car accident & cracked a tooth. He called the office at 11 am to find out they had different hours for spring break... they closed at noon. However they didn't answer the phone at 11 am... he left a message to say he had an emergency. Nothing. No call back. He called again today & it says now that they are closed until Monday. He then received a message saying they wouldn't take care of him until Monday. Who closes their office for Spring Break? This business is so unprofessional. We're done.

I couldn't figure out why I had so much pain in one particular tooth for so long, it was from the retainers that displaced my teeth which left me irritating the nerve. Dr. Mathew Savaya was the one who took the time to explain this entire process to me, we were able to avoid a root canal and take a conservative approach easing the pain. Within minutes I felt relief. I wish they had taken my insurance, nonetheless, it was worth every penny. I'll be back! On a referral from a friend, I rushed to this office for a loose filling that needed immediate care. I was treated with the utmost kindness, my issues were addressed efficiently and thoroughly.
