After working with the same accountant for years, because so many of my friends recommended Michael…read moreso highly, I decided to visit him to see what all the excitement was about. I walked into Michael's office (pre-covid) and didn't walk out until 2 hours later. That is the level of service you get from Mike. He explained each and every detail to me about my tax returns, and he wouldn't go on to the next subject unless he was sure I understood it. It's really refreshing to work with an accountant so focused on service. I also love that with all of the changes happening in the tax code lately, he sends me emails demystifying them and making his recommendations. He's also a great guy.

The first thing I noticed was how responsive and friendly Michael was. It was clear that he cared about his clients and wanted to provide top-notch service. I explained what I needed and within an hour, I was able to log into his client site and upload the document he requested, a TurboTax file. He reviewed the document and got right back to me. He pointed out things I had missed and explained how I could file a 1040-X with the IRS. I was prepared to pay his normal fee for providing this service, which was fair, but he made an allowance for me because of the simplicity of my issues and charged me far less. It is rare for a business to do this. It's nice, and rare, to deal with someone so understanding, competent, and fair. I don't give gratuitous compliments. Michael earned every laudatory comment!

I called Garelick Business Management during tax season and again afterward. Their admin, Grace,…read moreanswered the phone, but she did not seem able to answer even basic tax-related questions. Normally, at a professional tax or business management firm, the person answering the office phone should at least be able to address basic questions or connect you with someone who can. Instead, she repeatedly said, "I'm sorry, Jessica Luengas is not available right now." I waited for a response from Jessica Luengas and her team, but no one followed up. Communication was very poor. It was also frustrating that there did not seem to be a regular team member, or even another tax preparer, available to answer basic questions. It made me wonder what kind of tax and business management operation this is if everything seems to depend on one tax person being available. For a firm offering these services, I expected a more responsive team and better client support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm.

Matt delivered in a big way. He treated me as though I had been a longtime client, rather than someone new to his firm. Despite the fact that my investment accounts were late in providing tax information, he made sure my filings were in well before the deadline. Looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Matt and would definitely recommend his services.

My husband and I had an extremely disappointing experience with this attorney. Our appointments…read morewere repeatedly rescheduled; often by her husband, which felt unprofessional and disorganized. Several scheduled phone calls were not honored, and communication was inconsistent with frequent excuses. Her demeanor throughout the process was also rude and lacked basic professionalism, which made an already stressful situation even more difficult. More concerning, the custody declaration she prepared contained inaccurate and, at times, completely false information. This is unacceptable for something so important. The overall quality of her work, including grammar and punctuation, was far below what I expected from a legal professional with "30 years experience" chat gbt could've done better. After five weeks, very little meaningful progress was made. It was especially frustrating that she waited until the day before our court date to begin seriously gathering information. Thankfully we found adequate representation and were able to terminate our services or lack there of with Rebecca. This experience felt like a complete waste of time and added unnecessary stress. I would strongly urge Teamsters to reevaluate the quality of legal representation being provided.

The assessment, with penalties and interest was substantial, and in my view just another attempt to grab taxes from a resident who had fled their state for that reason! After some personal research, I found Leading Tax Group, and in my view, I found the absolute best!!!! They're just aren't enough adjectives to describe the team there! From my first contact with James, then onto the tax team of Elizabeth Nelson & Rosie Wartiwarian, I knew that if there was any chance of beating this tax assessment, LTG could accomplish it. They're knowledge of the regs, coupled with their 'strategic' approach to fighting on my behalf are, I'm certain, what led to my case being closed with NO OBLIGATION - no penalty, no interest, no tax assessment, NOTHING - other than the reasonable fee and retainer I paid for their representation.
