They don't take my sons' dental insurance but they do accept Care Credit and they are responsibly priced compared to other dentists in the area. I was in an immense amount of pain that other dentists tried to convince me was "in my head" and that "whatever you're feeling will go away in a few days". Well, those "days" turned to weeks, which turned into months and I was still in pain! I was frustrated and losing hope that none of the other dentists I went to were even listening to me! That's when I stumbled upon Dr. Akhras. One of my friends had highly recommended him to me, saying that his work ethic and his rapport with patients is unmatched. I didn't believe it after the slew of horrible dentists I had gone through in the last few months, but I thought to myself, "What do I have to lose? I'll give this dentist a shot." When I had first walked into Dr. Akhras's office I was immediately impressed by how cordial the members of his staff were to me. I arrived a little early, but his staff was able to accommodate me. After filling out paperwork I waited only a few minutes before I was ushered to one of the exam room. This was a rare occurrence for me as I'm used to waiting over half an hour with bitter and cranky receptionists. A few moments later Dr. Akhras came in. Dr. Akhras was warm and friendly, and unlike other dentists I had been to I did not feel rushed! I proceeded to give him a 15 minute cliff-notes version of the tooth-nightmare I had been living for the last several months, and he was incredibly patient. Like I said, I did not feel rushed. He did not interrupt me to get to the "actual dental issue" I had been having. He listened patiently to my grievances. And when it came time for me to ask him questions, he was knowledgeable, and seemed to have an abundant supply of patience with my never-ending amount of questions. After my side of the story and a quick (yet thorough) inspection and exam of my teeth and a few xrays, he was able to figure out what was wrong with my teeth. Long story short, I needed a root canal and crown done to fix the previous dentist's botched work. I will say that I had never gotten either a root canal or a crown done, but I have heard the horror stories. However, with Dr. Akhras, at least for me, none of those horror stories turned out to be true. Both procedures were done quickly and painlessly. And even after the procedures were done Dr. Akhras had called and followed up with me in the days after to see how I was doing because he understood how scarred I was from my negative experiences from the previous dentists. I very highly recommend Dr. Akhras. He's my main dentist now. Unlike the other dentists I had been to he doesn't look at you like a "bag of money", nor does he rush you. He takes his time with each patient, and gives them the respect that they each deserve.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hutniks since the very beginning. I have written many reviews in…read morepraise of not only his extraordinary talent as a practitioner, but his obsession with staying in lockstep with the latest innovations in dentistry, his professional but welcoming staff, his comfortable, relaxing office. And his consistent devotion to the welfare of his patients above all else that has not changed since day one. But I never appreciated him more than when I recently underwent an emergency root canal procedure with him.. It seems Dr. Alex has a whole separate gear to handle these situations. It began with a slight nagging toothache, very minor, but concerning because I am fortunate enough to never get toothaches. On a whim, I called the office (closed-it was 6 p.m. on a Sunday), debated, then chose the option for the emergency line and left a message. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from Dr. Alex, who was on vacation at the time. As always, he showed deep concern, and asked questions to which I replied that I felt I was not in crisis. (I am prone to self-diagnosis which, honestly, rarely works out). "Just too much aggressive flossing". He offered to send an RX for antibiotics and pain killers just as a precautionary measure. I declined-so very sure I would not need them. Ha! He suggested alternating OC Anti-inflammatory and painkillers to help with the pain. Monday being a holiday, he told me to come into the office on Tuesday AM at opening and he would take me right away. Fast forward to 1 a.m. on Tuesday and awakening with a throbbing, excruciating pain the likes of which I have never experienced before. Yes, an abscess on my gum the size of Texas and, as we discovered later, an infected tooth. Dr Alex was in the office waiting for me and saw the problem immediately. He and his staff sprung into action and in the next hour and a half, performed the first of two non-invasive stages of a root canal procedure in a completely painless manner. And with the aid of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment with amazing precision. But most of all, with caring and respect. Pain gone. Two weeks later, I returned for the final phase and am now in recovery. Still no pain! How do you thank someone enough for setting the gold standard for patient care? Try and tell the world.

When I arrived, they took X-rays and the dentist came in, but instead of focusing on the cleaning I had booked, he spent most of the appointment trying to push orthodontic treatment. He made several comments about my "large teeth" and crowded mouth that felt unnecessary and condescending. It didn't feel like a consultation. it felt like a sales pitch. When I explained that I wasn't interested in orthodontics and just wanted the cleaning I had scheduled, I was told they couldn't do a regular cleaning and that I needed a deep cleaning due to gum disease. This was surprising, as I get cleanings 3-4 times a year and had my last one less than four months ago. Despite explaining this, he insisted a regular cleaning wasn't an option. I ended up leaving and driving to my previous dentist, where I received a routine cleaning and was told I do not have gum disease.
