Very professional and outstanding jewelry store including both sales and repairs. The owner is…read moreexceptional with his great knowledge about jewelry and premium watches, but the other staff members are also excellent to work with. I have had very expensive jewelry repaired here with perfect results at very fair prices and completed in rapid time. I have had the batteries replaced on several luxury watches (Omega, Breitling, Tag Heuer and Baume & Mercier) with extreme care and long-lasting results. The owner uses only Swiss watch batteries for replacements and is very careful protecting the case and seals during the replacement. You can have your finest jewelry repaired here and leave it with full confidence that it will be repaired with excellent results and will be taken care of carefully during the entire process. The owner is always courteous and a sincere pleasure to interface with due to his experience, attention to first-class quality, honesty and detailed knowledge.

Well, it was about $100. He said my watch was more complicated than a Rolex but he didn't charge me anymore than what he got charged so he made no profit off of me. He said because he quoted me a $ amount that was less he didn't want to charge anymore than the cost to him. And on top of this, he said I had a 6 month free warranty! I still gave him a $20 tip.

I had previously taken them to a local jeweler and they did not have the right tools to open the Guccis- one of my watches now has a scratched backing. Since Deutsch & Deutsch are fine watch makers, I knew they would take care of my watches. When I stepped inside the store, I was greeted by an armed guard and the staff. They carefully labeled all my timepieces and took photos of them so I would be assured I was getting the same items back when I returned (the watchmaker was not in on this day). I was impressed. I looked around the store and saw many things Santa needs to bring me- I have been a very good girl! They have watches by TAG, Rolex, Cartier, MontBlanc and Hublot, as well as an array of very nice jewelry. Tucked away in the corner is a section devoted to MontBlanc pens, cases and other items - I saw a really nice high tech notepad that transfers whatever you draw or write on it to your smartphone as it was hand drawn! Very cool! Academia says that if you are in a Masters Degree program or higher and you are writing a thesis, you should be gifted with a MontBlanc pen upon graduation. My brother got one...I did not (my father had just passed away so no one was thinking). Not to worry, I am blessed with many friends who got together and gave me a beautiful MontBlanc as a gift!!!! Yes, these beautiful pens are amazingly crafted using precious materials; they easily become something that you want more than one of. Today I purchased a second pen for myself and I cannot explain the feeling you get from having and using daily such a nice writing instrument. With daily writing comes the need for ink- I love the fine liner in Bold. It is like writing with a very fine pointed sharpie, but I bought an assortment of ink types and colors today. If you are in need of a nice gift for someone special, this is the place.

A few words come to mind when I think of this local shop...unique, interesting, creative, creepy…read moreand weird (in a good way). Tooth & Veil isn't your typical Walgreens or Target, you know, a normal and ordinary store. They offer lots of spooky attire, goodies, herbs and more. The owner (Michelle) is a believer of using natural herbs and desert plants to heal the body. If you're from El Paso or the area, you probably know what I'm talking about. I'll give you some examples. When I was a kid, my mom grew yerba buena (mint) in our front yard. She would boil it to make a warm tea for a stomach ache. My grandma often made me cinnamon tea to cure cramps. My family also uses aloe vera to help cure/heal a burn. You cut one of the branches in half. You rub the clear and gooey substance from inside on your burn/cut. It's really soothing. It also works great for a sunburn, especially the type of burn where your skin is peeling. Michelle also carries a variety of teas and even taxidermy items. Their taxidermy products are quite popular with her clients. I saw a rattlesnake, some kind of rodent and even a crocodile head. Michelle's husband told me they've encountered some friendly ghosts at their shop! Wow creepy! If you aren't in El Paso, they have a website you can check out and buy items from. If you're looking for a spooky and/or unique gift for someone, I highly recommend Tooth & Veil. You'll be amazed with the items in there. Check it out! There is something for everyone in there. Let's continue to support local!
