If three girls who have never held a gun in their lives can enjoy this past-time, anyone can - that is if don't mind a welt or two or twelve. For about $30 you can have a very different afternoon - maybe you want to release some built up tension, maybe you dislike your friend, maybe you want to know what it feels like to run around and play war. Whatever the reason, Jaegers attracts mostly men. As a woman, with my two other female friends, this was a perk for us going in. Kind of like the time I visited Westpoint, I was one in a thousand men, something to remember. But Jaegers is more like a paintball club. Everyone that goes there enjoys the sport to an immense degree - and most are hard right republicans if you can't guess why. I met Dick Cheney's nephew here! Customers can pay to play either on the indoor field or the outdoor field. I never tried the outdoor field, although from the website it looks very detailed and adventuresome, I took to the indoor cave instead. It's a freakin' CAVE - it's like paying to be apart of some surreal experience, like being in a horror movie, or like playing make-believe for grown men, whichever way you want to look at it. I personally became infatuated with paintball as a little girl. My older brother kept his paintball guns and bags of paintballs in the corner of our basement (as if my basement weren't mysterious or scary enough to me now guns were thrown in the mix, along with the Bogey man and ghosts for my eight-year-old mind to envision.) Jaegars provides the protection and the equipment, if you don't already own it yourself, and most of the guys I saw did. The cave had a memorable REAL dank smell and it was deep and dark and winding. I could hear the echoing screams of the players throughout - it was very exciting. As a player, you want to find something large to stoop behind and shoot at those in open areas. If your location is found at you'll want to crawl or run behind another crate or barrel. There are great photos on their website that really show well what I'm talking about in their indoor cave arena, http://www.jaegers.com/. When I was playing, it was like being in a video game - so imaginative and exhilarating - I honestly never imagined myself in the positions I was in, running from the paintballs (that feel like small rocks being pelted hard at you by a slingshot) and trying to take down the enemy. As a girl, I've imagined myself doing all sorts of exciting girl things, like getting locked in a mall, getting a makeover like in the movies, marrying European royalty, crap like that! But ever since my stint at Jaegars, my imagination has been broadened with less gender-specific adventures. After the game we played (my friends and I and a bunch of other strangers that came the same time we did) - we all took off our protections and unarmed ourselves, while talking about it! "Hey, you got me good back there." "My helmet's completely covered in purple!" "I noticed your aim got better as time went on." "Let's play another game!" The community of painballers is awesome and I hope to go back soon with my two friends (the only ones I know who will pay $30 to be shot at!)

Overall was great, A lit bit expensive. I hope there was more communication between the refs and front staff.

This place is the best for laser tag and paintball. I always go here for paintball and laser tag when I was younger.

It was so fun. We did the late night and we were the only people there and had a great time. It was my first time laser tagging.

This place is amazing. They have a lot of fields, indoors and outdoors, and really good/helpful staff.

Used to love taking my kids here every year. They no longer do Groupons so it is not worth what they're charging

Martin City Sports Complex - 'Decorative' buildings falling apart, leaves & debris that need clearing, broken and dangerous bricks... :(

The mini-golf course here is an absolute joke!…read more My party of 3 still had fun playing here, but that's because the weather was great and we love hanging out together. The course itself was no fun- it's so rundown that it's just sad. I honestly can't believe that it's still open. They really, really, really need to update it. It's actually dangerous too- there are multiple bricks on the borders that are loose and we tripped several times. It also has not had the leaves cleared since the trees started turning so it is absolutely covered in leaves and water and gunk. It's a good thing we aren't serious about our play and score since we couldn't possibly be, what with all the leaves and dirt clogging up the greens and holes. Several of the flag markers are torn or broken, the paint is chipping everywhere, there are no little pads or arrows telling you where to place your ball, and the miniature buildings that they presumably added to give the place some character are literally falling down, riddled with chipped paint and wood rot. We used a Groupon here, but I honestly wouldn't go back even if it were free. It needs to be completely overhauled. As does the whole building, really- the bathroom is filthy, with dirty paint and a fairly large sized hole in the wall by one of the toilets. A toilet which, btw, had a ring around the water- so nasty! It obviously hasn't been cleaned in ages. The customer service was also pretty pathetic. There were 3 people working, and we were the only customers, but when we walked by them to leave, not one of them said 'thank you' or 'goodbye' or anything. UGH.

The new "owners" of this place had the rudest demeanor we have EVER had to deal with! Their…read more business practices are fraudulent, to say the least. A month or so back they came to one of my Family member's work selling "package deal" coupons. To be clear, she paid over $100 for these "coupons", which the business manager stated they would not accept upon arrival. We had people drive a couple of hours from out of town just to go, and had a group of 8 people! They were extremely rude and he actually said "I'll take them but it will actually cost you MORE than if you don't use them. " He tried to justify it by writing out the numbers. We actually called about the coupons TWICE (once only a week before arrival) to ensure they were good. We were ensured they covered everything except the paintballs themselves. It even says on the coupon "a purchase of 500 paintballs minimum per player were required." We were ok with that but they wanted to charge us $50 per player! The "owner" (honestly the way they were acting i'm not sure it was the owner, and if it was he has ALOT to learn about owning a business) actually stated it would be $2 more if we chose to use the coupons ($52). He literally said, well i'll accept them but it will actually cose you MORE. This was a complete slap in the face. If there were a zero star option we'd be choosing that. We WILL be filing a complaint with the Better business Bureau in reference to this. We promptly took our business to Jaegers instead and we were SO GLAD we did. At this point you couldn't PAY US to go play there and deal with the extremely rude staff. We called Jaegers and explained the situation and they actually cut us a deal. We got ALL 8 of us in for $25 a piece! They gave us cups when we ordered pizza and I even bought two cases of paintballs there. Including $25 a person, plus the TWO cases (4000 paintballs) of extra paintballs we bought at Jaegers we saved over $150 on choosing to take our business elsewhere. We were allowed to play on their brand new woodsball course as well as in the caves and were treated how customers should be: WITH RESPECT. For the Love of God don't take your business here! Go to Jaegers where they know the value of their customers. There will be much more people to play there with you anyways, and the most friendly staff we've ever dealth with.

It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.
