Amazing customer service and shop is so clean. We were a walk in and they were so quick. I'm not from the area but would recommend this shop to anyone. Roy did an excellent job and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. read more

Called up for a walk in for two small tattoos. They got us fit in at the end of the day and the artist and staff were nice and helpful. We did set up a last minute appointment and wasn't a huge fan of waiting outside in cold weather for like 15-20 mins but it was due to very strict hygiene/ sanitation reasons. They also had us sanitize as we walked in so very clean! It's actually a pretty small shop inside but their prices are great for the art, they also are willing to work with your budget by adjusting size or design which is helpful if you are on a budget. Would recommend especially after they messaged later reinforcing that they are there if we needed anything later on. Thank you to Jimmy who did the tats and Max who got us the info to get us in! read more

Great experience from start to finish. I had an appointment and was greeted at the door. I was immediately impressed with the overall cleanliness of the shop. Letoy had his super clean station all prepared. I sent ahead my concept and Leroy had a transfer ready. With all the peripherals looking good, the real test is the quality of the tattoo. It was fantastic. I can't imagine a better experience. read more

Rude atmosphere with the staff, I talked to 2 different artists and they were both rude. Ended up getting a tattoo and the guy wouldn't answer my messages after when I was asking questions. Tattoo was good though. read more

Recently visited Jade Monkey to get a tattoo in memory of my sister. Jimmy did a phenomenal job translating my original idea into a beautiful fine line floral piece that is elegant and beautifully shaded. As he noted would occur, the shading is softening as my skin heals. I am hugely grateful for his artistry and skill. Thank you. read more

I got 3 piercings on Sept 13th 2021 by Worm and although covid precautions were high, and i couldn't have anyone in there with me, he made me feel at ease with my low pain tolerance. So quick! Helped me pick placement and was very patient with me/my nerves. Fast forward to March, he kindly swapped out my jewelry pain and hassle free. I find their employees passionate about their work and the establishment clean. Thank you and highly recommend. read more

I moved to Wilmington almost a year ago and the name I heard to go to as soon as I stepped foot into NC was "Jade Monkey." I can honestly say I will never go to another tattoo shop ever again. Jade Monkey provides above and beyond customer service, a professional and cozy atmosphere for all customers, and excetpional artists. Line work, traditional, realism... they really do have it all folks. The convenient location off off peach tree makes it an easy find. I implore you to visit at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, a customer who comes twice a week for a tattoo. read more

I first called the shop (spoke with Mike) as I had questions about piercings. He was informative, professional, and very friendly. When I got to the shop I spoke with Maximus about putting in different jewelry and he answered all my questions. He was very down to earth, and a cool person to talk too. Today I went on a whim to get a tattoo. I called hem and they asked me to send over a picture because they are by appointment only. AJ was able to get me in right away. I waited outside until he was ready for me. When I entered, my temp.was taken and I had to fill out paperwork about their policies. The place smelled really clean and looked spotless. AJ did a great Job. I do feel like the tattoo was vwwey overpriced for what I got but I agreed to it. Everyone was soooo nice and professional. You can tell they take rules seriously. read more

I just stopped by because I have been thinking about adding on to my sleeve. I only have a couple of tattoos and I designed all of them but I got writers block so I thought it might be cool to go somewhere and ask a shop to get my creativity going. Whenever I pulled up I went up and the door was locked. Someone came out and asked what I needed. I told them about wanting to get a tattoo and my general idea, but they didn't really try and help me at all like in the most polite way possible they said that's not what they do and to leave. I understand that they only do custom stuff, that's normal, but all I wanted to do was figure out an idea and get a tattoo. I didn't even get a tat so I'm not going to leave a super negative review. But my brief interaction w them sucked so I'm not getting one here lol read more

I can't say enough nice things about this place!! the staff was super friendly, gentle, and accommodating. They took me without an appointment - just a call an hour ahead of my arrival - and did EXACTLY what I asked them to do. I will definitely be going back for a tattoo in the near future! read more

I've gotten a few piercings done here. Each time with a different person, but each experience was pleasant. The piercers know what they are doing, the piercings are quick and as painless as they can be. Everything is sterile as the tools are opened while in the room with the piercer. I haven't had any piercing come out crooked, nor have I had any healing issues. The pricing is very reasonable and I would recommend this studio for piercings. I haven't gotten a tattoo here, so I can't comment on their artists. Still, the tattooing area looks clean, with a chill atmosphere, and I would consider getting some ink here. read more

Had a great experience at Jade Monkey Studios today. Went into purchase and change out two nose studs to hoops I had done about a year ago. Got my nosed pierced today & it was fast & easy. $40 in total & i bought saline there too for an extra $15. Overall a great fast experience.

Horrible customer service. I asked about a specific kind of tattoo and was told to come back at 8o'clock when I called to confirm they told me to come back at 9o'clock once the shop was closed ...then when I called back to confirm again they blocked my number. read more

I've gotten most of my tattoos here including my first one 16 years ago, but won't be going back for anymore. I don't care how long I have to wait truly but when you give a wait time of an hour to an hour twenty then after an hour and a half when we asked for an update we were told it would another hour and a half. At the beginning, if I had known it was potentially going to be a 3 hour wait I could've made a decision to go somewhere else but by that time, that was no longer an option. I liked the another shop's flash a wee bit better but was going to Jade Monkey out of loyalty. Sad potatoes read more

AMAZING! I've been to multiple tattoo shops on the east coast... and this litte shop impressed me! Do not let the outside of the building fool you, the inside is beautiful and SPOTLESS! Everyone that was on staff were all extremely kind and welcoming. I made an appointment yesterday with AJ and came in today and we got started right at 1 o'clock. He was so chill and made the process so easy. I got an extremely simple tattoo- a quote in my grandmother's handwriting. But I definitely will be coming back!! read more

Got my eyebrow pierced today and I Love it already and the artist was really professional, knowledgeable, and upfront honesty. If you go in there wanting a piercing or jewelry change and they know it's not in your best interest they will turn you away and also explain kindly the reason XYZ...... This place rocks! I walked in and was greeted immediately. Friendly staff and very talented. Nick Males did my work and blew me away. I came in with a picture of what I wanted. Nick showed me some other pictures and walked me through his ideas. I decided to go with his ideas. He drew up something and it was perfect. My first though was as I walked back this shop is professional and VERY clean. So happy I decided to check back with this shop. Came in earlier in the week they were ALL booked. This is by far the best tattoo shop in Wilmington. The artists are all friendly and more than happy to help you pick what you want and ensure you're 100% satisfied with it. They have a great system of deposits and short wait times. I was in and out in about an hour for a small tattoo. Ask for Zach! read more

I scheduled an appt. and still had to wait over an hour just to get the stencil on my body. Not sure if it was the manager or not, but the guy at the desk was rude asf. Tattoo came out okay, was told that if it was spotty I could come back for free to fill in. Tattoo is spotty BUT I'll spend the money elsewhere just so I don't have to go back in this shop. read more
