The mess up orders majority of times and also everything will be a different temp. My Rangoons are cold and barely colored nearly every time I get them and they will not replace food they mess up without you showing them the original. They taste like old oil. Visiting the area for a few days, decided a head of time to get Chinese for lunch on one of the days. We tried a place that came highly recommended by a family member. When we called in the order we asked for extra Soy Sauce with one meal and plum sauce for the other 3 meals. As the order was being placed over the phone for carry out, the employee kept asking, is that all, before we finished saying what we wanted. She also had an attitude when we asked for plum sauce for each meal. Some pieces of the chicken is one meal was ice cold and we did not get the soy sauce but received 10 packets of the plum sauce. Our order was the only one waiting, no one else in the place when we arrived. I do not recommend this place. Would have been nice if she would have asked if we wanted fortune coookies before she hung up. read more

The food isn't great, but it's not bad. I usually come to get the buffet at lunch to go. They charge $3.95 per pound. The lady who works the register up front is terribly rude. . She weighs your box without you seeing the weight then cross checks it with a chart. I'm always charged about the same no matter how much or little I put in my container. So essentially they overcharge me each time. I do however come back from time to time because it's probably the better of the two lousy places in town. Honestly, I can't really recommended this place. If this place were anywhere else, they probably wouldn't make it. They have the market when it comes to Chinese food in Marshall but prepare to be underwhelmed. read more

Eh wasn't the best the sesame chicken was very tough almost like it was over cooked. The rice and lo mein was really good. I also got Kung no chicken extra spicy there was no spicy it was bland and had no flavor tasted like I was eating a chicken nugget from McDonald's. Ive gone to Jade Garden for years and loved it. But this time was absolutely the worst food ive ever had at this place. The rice sat there for over 20 minutes just hard and dried out, we had to ask for new rice to be put out after the cook lookes at it multiple times. Once the new rice waa put out it was put right on top of the old rice. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp tasted more like bbq sauce and the bananas with strawberry sauce was gross this time around also. I have always been a fan of Jade Garden and it used to be something I looked forward to when coming home but now I can honestly say I'll more than likely not be returning! read more

Have gone to this restaurant many times in the past but after last night I won't go again. The food was absolutely horrible, I ordered general tso chicken for takeout as well as egg rolls. The chicken tasted old and the batter was almost non existent, the sauce was watery and had no flavor. The egg rolls were over cooked and again lacked flavor. The most disappointing ever! read more

Food is average. Soy sauce, mustard, etc are in little commercial packets. Have not tried the buffet as it does not appear to be refreshed - maybe my timing is always wrong. Not much of a dining experience - the young wait staff are preoccupied with their cellphones and computer; it is difficult to get their attention once they take your order. It's almost a shame to tip them. I have switched to just ordering takeout to keep myself from being frustrated. It is too bad that the kitchen works so hard but the impression is left by the disinterested floor staff. Marshall has many other restaurants. read more

The best Chinese place around. Their staff isn't the friendliest in the world, but the food is really good. Their General Tso's Chicken and Lo Mein are particularly good, as is their Sweet & Sour Pork. Their Crab Rangoon is to die for. The only thing I don't particularly love is their fried rice...it's just so-so. read more

Found a bee in my fried rice and when i went back to get my money back they gave me a hard time about it and kept telling me that they cant refund it but can replace the order. After telling them i dont want to eat anymore food from here and i just want my money back they finally did. Very poor service. read more

The foods ok, the sweet and sour chicken is a must try. But the rice is horrible, my friend got some regular white rice, and it was hard and cold. Totally uncooked. The staff is very rude, also the owners daughter made a scene while we were in the restaurant and slammed the bathroom door very loudly, very disrespectful. Also it takes forever for them to refill the food at least 10 minutes unless you say something. But the girl their is not someone you what to interact with. The prices are good and affordable for a buffet. I recommend trying this place once. But definitely go to the Old Chinese restaurant in battle creek they have way more to choose from and are very friendly and understanding. read more

We have been going to Jade Garden for years but today will be the last time that happens. Ordered our meals, however one of the meals Singapore Noodles, included pork which is not listed on the menu. We do not eat pork. I called as asked if it was okay if we brought the dish back to get a replacement and I was told that was fine. I would certainly have paid again if asked. However they took my dish then brought a "new" dish out to me after 5 minutes. Apparently they do not take food allergy or requests seriously. When we got home to have our meal we discovered that there were still pork pieces in the meal. They had essentially just taken out the large pork strips from what they originally gave me and then presented it back to me as a freshly made/"new" serving. This is sad, duplicitous, and potentially illegal. If we had sever allergies our family would be in the ER right now because we did eat a few bites before we discovered the other pork pieces. Dishonesty from the kitchen is not a good business practice and we will not eat here again. read more
