We had lunch here as it came highly recommended. Parking in private lot. Greeted upon entering. Sat down and received menus and beverage order taken. We looked at the menu and made our decisions. He went with sesame chicken and myself hot and spicy shrimp. Both were lunch specials and came with a spring roll and soup. The hot and sour soup was tangy with a little spice but not tasty. The spring roll ok. The shrimp was not good. Not bad but not inspiring. The fried rice was lackluster. Not enough egg or taste. He said his sesame chicken was average. The place is nice and large with three dining areas. And the service is good. That's the fourth star. It's a local favorite but it's not for me. read more

We eat here almost every week. The food is always incredible...super fresh and really well prepared with fresh ingredients. The service is fast, friendly, and always attentive. The portion sizes are large. We have tried almost all of their beef, chicken, and pork dishes over the last 4-5 years. Favorite is the Twice Cooked Pork and their Hot and Spicy Beef. This was a great stop for lunch. Wide selection of choices for lunch at great prices. Fresh prepared entrees rather than a buffet. I don't get to eat Asian food very often unless I am by myself because my wife is a picky eater and has trouble finding things to eat. Discovering that they have the best lemon chicken that she has had anywhere was a wonderful plus. I had the Kung Pao chicken and my uncle had the Kung Pao shrimp and we both enjoyed ours. Lunch comes with a soup choice and egg roll and we shared the picky eater's egg roll as well. The soup and egg roll were delicious as well. Service was excellent and attentive. I love going to this restaurant. Great food every time . I I've their wonton soup, steamed dumplings and cheese wontons. Nice staff too.

If I could give it a zero I would. They served me rotten shrimp. The place is dirty. Knick knacks in the windows that have never seen soap & water. The bathroom is a bump out in the dining room with no insulation in the walls I know because they seated us right next to the bathroom wall even though the place was empty so I could hear every noise someone made in the bathroom. One of the worst dining experiences ever & im old so I've had a few. If there were an ethical health inspector in this county this place would be shut down. read more

I saw some negatives reviews and thought I would add my own. I thought the food was pretty good. It's as good, and maybe even a little better than most general Chinese restaurants. I love that the dinner came with soup, a cheese wontons and chicken wing, I thought that was a neat touch. The service was great. Attentive and fast service with lots of water refills. The building is dated but aren't they all??? Anyone who says this place doesn't fit the bill for a decent Chinese meal must be eating at some fancy, overpriced joints. I placed a to go order-$50 ( incl tip) for 3 meals. When I got home, there was no rice for the Kung pao beef or sweet sour pork, as the menu stated there would be. When I called the restaurant, the woman owner was very snotty, wanting to know what I wanted her to do about it. She said I could come back for my rice- I was already at my table in the next town, or she would give me double rice next time. Really???? Double rice next time???? I probably won't ever see that rice, because I doubt I ever go back. Her attitude, and the the other person I encountered there, do not invite me to go there again. The restaurant business is very competitive, and I know they have been there a long time, but I'll spend my $50 where I am appreciated. Myself and some family members wanted Chinese for dinner and went to our favorite restaurant the China Garden (Clean environment, friendly staff, and great food truly a 4 out of 5 facility) but found them closed for repairs on their stove vents. We didn't feel like fast food and remembered the Jade Cafe was in Florence. That's when the nightmare began... Upon arriving, the restaurant was noticeably dirty with stains on the walls, dusty running boards and high traffic marks throughout the carpeting, but we found the staff to be nice. The experience seemed to be somewhat pleasant. That is until we watched a Cockroach scurry across the table after they brought our orders from the kitchen and placed the plates of food upon the table. We called the waitress over to show her and she picked it up with her finger and said, in broken English, "They had morning shift... in the morning". She then apologized, said her English is not very good and went to get the facilities manager. Once the manager came over, without missing a beat or apologizing, he confirmed that they supposedly had people in earlier that morning to spray but, again, he never apologized for the roach. The manager asked if we wanted to move to another table in which we reluctantly agreed (we really just wanted to leave but figured it was an isolated incident and the food did look good). However, upon getting settled into the new table (2 down from the original seating). One of the members of the party watched another roach scurry out from the sugar holder from the table behind us (1 table from the original seating). That grossed us out completely and when we called the manager over again to inform him that there was another roach on the table behind us, he stared blankly at us for a few moments until one of the party members said "I'm sorry, but I cannot eat this." The managers friendly if unapologetic demeanor immediately changed. He snapped and proceeded to immediately show hostility by waving his left hand in a backhanded dismissive manner and shouting loudly, "Okay, okay, just go home!" He then started grabbing our untouched plates of food angrily and dumping them into the bin where they place the dirty dishes before disappearing back into the kitchen. Subsequently, we simply got up and walked out. It was a shame that we didn't get to eat what we ordered and all the food went to waste. The food did look amazing! Regardless we learned our lesson and will never return, they can keep their dining with cockroach experiences for themselves. The Fremont County Health inspector has been notified. If you read this review and still decide to give the restaurant a go, please be cautious and careful. Roaches carry and spread many diseases. read more

I have actually like this place. My husband and I went here for lunch and yes it was cheap but very good. The waitstaff was friendly, and though the lunch hour rush was starting, they didn't seem overwhelmed, which is not what you get anywhere else. If you do, it's a rarity, like finding that gem. Food was surprisingly really good. We ordered the wontons and they came out hot and crispy. Well worth it. The egg drop soup was probably canned, but you could never tell, I could eat that soup all day long, ok maybe not as it's gonna get old after awhile. I got the hot and spicy shrimp which definitely had a good kick to it, one I would order again. The veggies were fresh and crisp as if they came from the farmer's market. My husband ordered the three garlic and it had to be good since I stole it for my lunch the next day. No wait, I gave him two days to eat it and he didn't, so I took it. I do agree with another poster that yes it is a bit outdated and it's a small restaurant, but the food more than makes up for it. Yes, highly recommended no doubt without hesitation. This is by far the best Asian in Fremont county. The food is good fresh and plentiful. Buy the lunch deal and you'll usually get two meals from it. Cheap yes, but very dirty. The food was decent, nothing to write home about. Have been there many times, the food was not as good as it once was. Don't think they have dusted since they opened. I ordered a "to go" order. The woman was rude the entire time I was trying to order. We drive out of town, sit down to eat and it is the wrong order. I call and politely explain the mix up. The woman is once again rude saying I ordered that. I told her I did not. This is something I have never ordered at any restaurant. She tells me that was my misunderstanding. I politely ask if she could credit me a meal since I can not eat this. She tells me I will have to drive all the way back to town and return it and no credit. I again explain I can not drive back to town. She says "I not arguing this anymore, your misunderstanding not mine!" Wow, so much for customer service. read more
