She gave me discounts on eye plugs for my dry eyes which I appreciated so much but I'm not working cause I am taking care of my mother who had a massive stroke so I have no income now. I waited over an hour past my appointment time before being seen. When the doctor finally came in, I was told I needed multiple expensive out-of-pocket tests totaling over 1400 before any treatment could begin. When I asked basic questions about why each test was necessary and how the results would change my treatment, the doctor became visibly upset, made rude comments, and walked out of the appointment. I want to be clear -- I wasn't being difficult. Asking why a test is needed is a normal, reasonable thing for a patient to do. I also observed staff conducting what appeared to be medical consultations in the open waiting room -- discussing patient treatment details, diagnoses, and care plans within earshot of everyone present. I would rate Muller a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. She is by far the most dismissive, condescending, and arrogant doctor I've come across in NYC. First, she did not even spend more than 30 seconds observing my eyes with the slit lamp microscope despite numbing my eyes (completely normal and expected procedure btw, which she did NOT do). I came to her because of one very clear issue with my vision and instead of trying to diagnose me and hear me out, she asked me to pay for a $400 imaging procedure right away before engaging further, prescribed me 5+ different medications all at once post-imaging, and did not address the issue I came to see her for before rushing out of the room after being dismissive and impatient with my 4 follow up questions. Don't even get me started on payments. She insisted that I pay for the imaging procedure out of pocket despite my insurance company confirming 3x that they will cover it at a contracted price, which was lower than what her office was quoting me. She insisted that my insurance company was lying, and that I had to pay out of pocket and fight the insurance company after. That was the only arrangement she was willing to accept, on top of aggressively upselling these "allergy potions" to combat my dry eyes. I have seen enough ophthalmologists in the past and none have flagged allergies to me before (and she made a big deal out of my allergies). On top of that, her treatment plan is aggressive. Steroids 4x a day for 4-5 weeks? I've seen enough doctors to know that the risk of increased eye pressure would be too high for that dosage. It felt like she was putting me on a treatment plan with no real regard for my wellbeing. In sum, I agree with all the other negative reviews here. Please PLEASE read through these reviews before going to Muller. The way she operates her practice is questionable. Believe the negative reviews. I sincerely wish I had read the negative reviews before coming here. My experience mirrored many others and felt so much like a scam operation; the whole thing was almost comical. The practice clearly relies heavily on their online image and SEO. Dr. Muller is one of the top results when you google "dry eye specialist nyc". From what I could tell during my visits, based on the amount of patients intakes I witnessed in the waiting room, she must have a very and high patient turnover. The doctor seemed determined to push expensive, proprietary treatments prematurely. I, and at least two other new patients I witnessed, were immediately told we had "severe allergies" requiring immunotherapy, despite having no allergy symptoms. How do I know this? I witnessed everything in the waiting room. Because another appalling issue is the blatant disregard for patient confidentiality. I repeatedly witnessed Dr. Muller and her staff discussing detailed diagnoses and treatment plans with patients right in the waiting area. The only partition is a flimsy glass room divider that is certainly not soundproof, meaning during my four visits, I unwillingly overheard confidential details about other patients. The only silver lining is that I was able to witness how uncomfortable other patients were, because the non-individualized, way too aggressive treatment plan was pushed on them made no sense. While clearly very smart, Dr. Muller's interactions feel highly manipulative. I assume she has gotten negative feedback about her bedside manner before, as she employs tactics like touching the patients knee during each visit at least once...presumably to establish "trust". I wish she used her intellect to help patients instead of gaslighting them when they bring up concern. Any expression of concern or refusal of her overpriced treatments causes an immediate, noticeable shift in her demeanor; she switches up her tactics once you don't agree to her costly suggestions that you can get for half the price (or free) at other doctors in the city. read more

Do NOT go here! This is a scam. Dr. Muller will push thousands of dollars of treatments on you every visit, and when you say no she becomes condescending and rude. She basically told me my eyes will not improve (even though I've taken at least 10 different potentially harmful medications from her that did not help at all) unless I do a $2,000 eye flush every few months (not covered by insurance) and 4 plugs per eye. These plugs cost $275 each for reference and fall out within weeks. She brought this up all 4 of my visits, with no other solution. Not to mention the allergy drops and other expenses. Although I was told they take my insurance, the visits were still $375. Overall, every time I went I was extremely manipulated into more expensive meds and treatments that I couldn't afford and made to feel guilty and stupid for not agreeing. I persevered with Dr M for 3 sessions, opting for all her recommended tests, procedures, and meds since I was highly committed to her regimen for a severe case of dry eye. Charges for office visits are extremely high: she charges $1990 for Lipiflow as opposed to the usual $700-$1000 and insurance is not accepted. After 4 months, I've experienced no improvement whatsoever.. I was appalled at her waiting time, and as a health professional myself have never experienced such unapologized-for waiting times. I was kept waiting an hour and 15 minutes 2 out of 3 appts. She then flew in for 15 very RUSHED minutes and was out the door before I time to ask questions. (I was clueless about a new med that was added to this list after she left and the function of a plug she had hastily inserted into my eye.) Her post-visit lists are printed on a 4" x 8" strip of paper under the heading of "Individualized Treatment" (!) in the smallest type I have ever received from ANY health care provider.. The list includes 33 medications with a tick-mark next to the seven I was to be taking and I needed a magnifying glass to read it. Ironically, these are from an ophthalmologist whose specialty is dealing with patients with VISION problems! I have been seeing Dr. Muller for over 7 years and it is not an exaggeration to say that she has changed my life. When I first came to see her, my eyes were so dry that I had intense daily headaches and thought i would have to quit my job that requires me to work at a computer all day. I had seen several other doctors who told me there was nothing else that they could do to before I went to see Dr. Muller. She has used a combination of different kinds of treatments to vastly improve my dry eyes and my life! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and open-minded. She takes time to answer all of my questions and discuss different options. The other professionals who work with Dr. Muller are also fantastic. And the front desk staff are extremely responsive -- responding to my e-mail requests about possibly times for appointments within hours (my preferred method of communication). I came to Dr Muller in complete crisis. I had chronic styes, ten over the course of 2020, and was at a loss as to how to heal + prevent them. Unlike the other doctors I'd seen, Dr Muller sat with me at length explaining how blepharitis was as at the root of my issues and made a detailed game plan for addressing my eyes. It was a collaborative process and gave me faith and confidence that I'd get better. One year later and I am stye-free (!) plus my overall eye health is hugely improved. Dr Muller is THE eye doctor to see if you want someone who will *really* listen to you as a patient, give you straightforward feedback, and work with you on a recovery plan. My experience was almost exactly the same as others - which in and of itself is very concerning it seems to be the way they operate by pushing tests. Follow up appointments allergy drops eye flushing process which did nothing etc. Dr. Muller quickly started doing allergy tests on me, eye flushing and was pushing eye plugs, prescribing for five different prescriptions all for a very minor dry eye condition. After my second visit when I told her I had to think about the plug, she completely lost interest in me and my treatment. I had a small bump on my lower eyelid and within 30 seconds, she said oh do you want me to take that off and snip snip and took out the knife and snipped it off? I really didn't even know what she was doing. She never gave me any treatment protocol and of course it was infected within a day. I had to call the office to get an antibiotic cream to treat it. the next time I went had they had the nerve to find a small bump on my upper lid and she said oh do you want me to take off and I said do not come near me with any knife she does every single procedure so quickly you don't even know what she's doing. It is intimidating and overwhelming. Borderline fraudulent do not go to see her is all I can say after two visits and about $4000. I hate to write this review, but I felt really disappointed after my visits, and even more so when I compared it to seeing new doctors. I came in with dry eyes and a desire to get Lasik or PRK. She said she could perform Lasik even though three other doctors said my rx was too high. First she said I needed to fix my dry eyes and charged me $3k over two visits which did not help. I was already doing a lot of things, so I think her compress and drop ideas were the right idea, but it felt like the office was really taking advantage of me with the costs. She charged me something like $750 to put in punctal plugs that bothered me so much another doctor had to take them out. I now get them for free and they feel comfortable. She pushed aggressively for me to do allergy testing at her office despite the fact that there are no allergists there, and I was uncomfortable with the fact that I was told I needed months to repair my eyes and then called with an available Lasik appointment for the next week. This is my first Yelp review, created specifically to stress the importance of choosing a knowledgeable and well-intentioned doctor for an organ as delicate as the eyes--something I wish I'd taken more seriously. I saw Dr. Muller for dry eye symptoms, and she quickly recommended multiple expensive tests (like allergen skin prick tests at 3x the usual rate) and treatments costing over $800 each, including immunotherapy and punctal plugs. Do not go to this doctor. I would leave zero stars if I could. Dr. Jacqueline Muller only cares about making money. She is a very arrogant, incredibly mean, and aloof "doctor" who is honestly the single worst doctor I have ever seen in my entire life. She prescribed me 7 medications simultaneously that caused SEVERE complications in both my eyes and left my dry eye condition worse than before I met her. Now, besides dry eye, I have to deal with a host of other eye problems as well. She will try to sell you on punctal plus that fall out every 2 weeks and cost over $700 per plug. Also, if you have any questions for her, do not even bother asking them to her because she will scoff at you in the most unbelievably arrogant way and then literally flee from the room. Is it normal to look forward to going to your doctor? Well, I look forward to seeing Dr. Muller and her staff each month. Everyone is professional, fun, knowledgeable, and really know how to get to the root of the problem. Not only did she identify my eye problem, I am well on my way to ending the dryness, the eye swelling, and redness that I have been embarrassed by for years. People always assumed that I was sick or crying (or both!). I knew that I had dry eye syndrome, but no other ophthalmologist could understand why their treatments didn't work. I could no longer wear contacts even for a short period. One day while traveling my reds were blood red and nothing I did would help. In desperation I contacted Dr. Muller. She immediately identified my problem as dry eye syndrome, but the real problem was that I had 21 allergies that caused severe swelling in my eyes. I started the regiment of treatments from Dr. Muller and within a month I already saw positive changes. I stopped using any OTC eye drops entirely after about 6 months. A little more than a year later, my eyes look normal. I am still receiving some treatments because allergies don't so easily go away. I may be ready to have visits every other month, which I have mixed feelings about. I love it that my eyes have gotten so much better, but I'm going to miss my monthly visits. I love the way Dr. Muller takes her time with me, really talks to me and treats me like a person, and does it all while thoroughly diagnosing and treating my eye issues. I've never posted a review before but based on my negative experience with Dr. Muller I feel the need to warn others to stay away from this charlatan. I've suffered with severe dry eye for many years and recently experienced a flare-up in which my eyes turned very red thus making it absolutely necessary to find a dry eye specialist. In researching the situation, though clearly not deeply enough, I came across Dr. Muller and was hopeful that she'd be the answer to my problems based on her background. What a mistake that was. The woman is a total con artist, coasting on the credentials of a great education and upscale address. When I called to make the appointment and told them what insurance I had they informed me I was covered but when I arrived they said they'd made a mistake. Based on what I know now, and what others on Yelp with the same experience have said, I'm wondering if it truly was a mistake or a bait and switch tactic. After filling out numerous forms the assistant did some testing and then someone I assume was the optometrist as she never introduced herself or for that matter even say hello came in, commented that my eyes were very red and took a picture of my eyes WITH HER IPHONE that wound up costing me $100. Then Dr. Muller swept in. She had a friendly way about her and put me at ease and after hearing my history she appeared to be very sympathetic and assured me she'd be able to get to the bottom of things. She checked my meibomian glands which she said showed significant blockage and suggested Lipiflow which I consented to, out of desperation and based on having read a lot about it allegedly being the gold standard in treating dry eye. Little did I realize that her charge for said treatment at $2,000 is essentially 2X the going rate. She also did some allergy testing and recommended allergy drops to the tune of $140/month - which I'm quite certain she gets a cut of. She also gave me prescriptions for FIVE different steroid meds. Altogether the bill came to over $4,000, which I actually would have gladly paid if the treatment had been successful. However 2 weeks after taking said meds my eyes became redder than ever. I deduced (belatedly, duh!), that essentially what she'd done was to throw a bunch of things against the wall hoping something would stick. And hello, if something had worked how would we know which one??? (Ironically I left my appointment and gave a positive review, essentially feeling I'd found someone who "got it" and was dedicated to improving my symptoms. What a joke.) Stupidly I went back for a follow-up appointment to hear what she had to say and to discuss the results of my allergy testing. She suggested she insert punctal plugs, and when I told her I'd have to think about it (glad I did based on feedback in other Yelp reviews), she appeared to lose interest in me and her entire demeanor changed. When I asked her about the allergy results she gave me some gibberish and asked if I too hadn't received them, as if it was up to me to figure it out. I replied that as a non-medical professional I was not equipped to decipher them appropriately, and she thus suggested my internist would be better equipped to go over them with me. Huh? Ironic since that was the primary reason I went back. When I continued to press her, she got up and asked the assistant to answer the rest of my questions, but before waltzing out of the room, she suggested I "do my research", (condescend much?), prior to my next appointment, (I wanted to say I believe I know more about potential treatments for my particular case than she cared to figure out, but held back) and went on to say that if I trusted her she's absolutely certain she'll get to the bottom of my problem. To add insult to injury, the coup de grace is receiving an email from her this morning subsequent to yesterday's appointment asking for a positive review, and actually having the audacity to say: "I'm very pleased with how much better your eyes look since we've been working together and simply look forward to them becoming healthier and healthier." We'd just established that they're in worse shape than before! Is it possible she's delusional along with her other sterling qualities? After belatedly reading the Yelp reviews I can only blame myself for not investigating more prior, but all I can say is don't get suckered like I did, and buyer beware!!! I've known Dr. Muller for a very very long time (since 2006 when she did my LASIK). My sister and dad were also her patients. Sometime after I wrote my initial 5 star review, I noticed a huge change in her practice. She was suddenly doing a lot more procedures and treatments that were not covered by my insurance and were not evidence-based. I've had an issue with one of my eyes though for the last couple of years. It was on and off so I was able to just ignore it or occasionally see an ophthalmologist here or there for some eye drops. But in the last year my symptoms have gotten significantly worse. I decided after an ophthalmologist and an allergist couldn't help, to go back to her since she had done my surgery and was the "dry eye specialist." I had worked a 24 hour shift (I work in healthcare) and left straight from work to an 8:15 appointment. I spent 25 minutes filling out form after form that basically said just so you know there are some tests/procedures that may not be covered by your insurance and you are responsible for payment. I knew that was a possibility, especially since that had been my experience from my last visit with her so many years ago, but I was desperate for relief - and figured since I'd known her so long that we could talk out which things would really be worth a shot/the out of pocket cost. The first woman to bring me in asked about my medical history, but admitted she hadn't looked at the records (from the other physicians) that I had worked hard to make sure were sent prior to my visit for review. She asked if I'd had a certain test done with the other eye doctor, and when I said no, she said I could have it done for $400. I told her I'd like to speak with the doctor first before agreeing to any procedures that wouldn't be covered. Then the optometrist came in and repeated the tear stain/glaucoma test I literally had done about 4 months ago. I knew those would be covered though so I didn't argue. Then Dr. Muller came in. Maybe I shouldn't have expected her to remember me, but I was shocked that there were zero pleasantries, and pretty much no discussion about what brought me in. I told her my symptoms, she didn't look through any of my records, didn't ask about what I had tried prior to coming to see her, and immediately sat down, syringe in hand, to do a procedure I had just had done with the other eye doctor. She started talking very fast about what she was going to do, but luckily, the assistant with her was kind enough to stop her and let me know it would be $200 out of pocket. I asked her to stop and she sat back, angry, saying "so are you going to let me treat you, or what are we doing here?" I asked her why I should have it done if the other doctor had done it 4 months ago and ruled out a blockage. She said she would never trust what someone else had done. I tried to explain to her that since the last time I'd seen her my financial situation had changed, and that I really needed to go over all the options and figure out what testing was absolutely necessary before spending so much money out of pocket. She started trying to defend herself and got really aggressive about me not allowing her to do her job. I told her I didn't feel comfortable and that maybe I should just go. She said do you want to elaborate on what you mean by that? I told her that I had been up for 27 hours at that point, so I couldn't quite articulate it, but that something felt off in her demeanor and I didn't like the way she was speaking to me. She sort of ignored me, and started asking the assistant if I'd had allergy testing done, then argued that there was no way the allergist could have tested for everything she would(!). Then told me she was shocked to hear the other eye doctor would have even considered the eye drops he planned to prescribe for me since I'm breastfeeding. I told her that given my profession, I had done my research and knew the benefits would outweigh the very small risks, but I wanted a second opinion before pursuing that route. She told me that she couldn't do anything for me until I was done breastfeeding - that is if I ever decided to let her treat me. Then, as she started to walk out of the room, she suddenly said - so you had a baby? your first? congratulations. how's the rest of your family doing? I told her my dad (who had also been her patient) had passed away while I was pregnant, and she suddenly stopped, said she was very sorry to hear that, asked a few questions, and said that she remembered him and that he was a really nice man. I started crying, and she walked out. I left the office in tears, tired, traumatized, and without any answers. Please please please. Please don't go to her. Read the other negative reviews. Holy crap - the insurance hoops you need to go through for this! My appointment will start over half an hour late ... and I had made an emergency appointment to ensure that nothing had happened to my cornea (any eye doctor will tell you that how bad a cornea issue can get depends on when you catch it, and it can be a matter of hours). Since I'm a new patient, they insisted on asking me to fill out no less than 10 pages of paperwork, and then they took half an hour to call my provider. When I asked about the delay, they blamed me for not having my insurance on file (even though I'm a first time patient). I'm typing this as I sit in the waiting room ... 32 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start ... which means I've lost my entire morning on the weekday. Seriously - this doctor's office needs to shape up - fast!!! **Update - my appointment was set to be at 9:45 am. I got out of the office at 11:30 am. The doctor's bedside manner is abrasive - she doesn't let you get a word in edgewise. Also, her staff managed to send my prescription to the wrong pharmacy ... almost 20 blocks away from the correct one that I wrote down for them. How you confuse 42nd Street with 23rd Street is beyond me ... **Update #2 - My experience is starting to corroborate Melissa K's review even further. I got the ID-blocked call as well, under the pretext of asking me how my eyes felt, and then demanding an explanation for this review. She also tried to put me on a $200 dry eye prescription and insisted on further visits. I am extremely fortunate to have found Dr Muller after many unsatisfactory experiences trying to find a resolution to my complicated eye condition. She tackled my issues with effective eye drops and ointments. During my second visit she performed a quick painless procedure that removed all the lesions. I had lost hope that anything could be done to treat my conditions. Reading the other reviews I can understand why some patients may not like the idea of the allergy tests and some other diagnostic procedures that are done at the initial consultation. However, this is exactly what I was looking for and was asked if I wanted to have them done. It is important to rule out allergies as a cause of inflamed eyelids. I am truly grateful to have Dr Muller as my eye doctor and already feel relief from the pain and unsightly eye problems that plagued me for several months. read more

Dr Muller is a superb eye doctor addressing all one's concerns. I recently had plugs inserted to help my dry eye. I trust her implicitly and enjoy seeing her on my visits. She also treats her staff with respect teaching them as well. Highly recommend her and the practice. Please avoid this practice. All services are grossly overpriced and she does not accept Medicare or other insurance. For example, an eye flow procedure costs $1500 whereas typically it costs $1000 in NYC. She bundles four or five procedures into the visit and I was in shock when my Total was over $3000. For dry eyes. When I took the handful of prescriptions to my pharmacy, the total again would have been over $3000. Worse. It's bad medicine. Had I actually subjected my eyes to a mix of antihistamines, antibiotics, Etc etc. there would be no way of knowing which was effective since they were not prescribed sequentially. I have been seeing Dr. Muller for over 7 years and she has helped me tremendously with all of my eye issues. She is an incredibly kind and compassionate doctor who always patiently answers all of my questions. She does very thorough diagnostic tests so that she can treat any potential causes of my dry eye and Meibomian gland dysfunction. The treatment plans that she has recommended for me have been very personalized and made me feel so much better than I was before coming to her. I am so happy that I found her! read more

Dr. Jacqueline W. Muller is nothing but a scam. She sent me out of her office with abrasions to both eyes without telling me after a botched up procedure. Stay away from this place!!!!! Beware of this practice; every visit will be a hard sell on products and services not covered by your insurance. 1st, Dr will want photos of your 4 eyelids (not cov'd by ins & $100 apiece)only to be told she wants to repeat those in 6 months. The next visit she wants an allergy test performed (also not cov'd), & when the results come in with some obscure allergens like "careless weed" and "timothy grass", she strongly recommends a therapy which SHE provides that costs $140 every 6 weeks. The next visit she strongly urges a procedure called "lipiflow" that costs $1990.00, also not cov'd by insurance! This practice sends your prescription to a pharmacy they are contracted with where the prescription costs more than at your own pharmacy. I highly recommend you do NOT visit this doctor. I regret not listening to the other negative reviews on here, and one has to wonder why the reviews elsewhere are so overwhelmingly positive. -1- The practice is borderline fraudulent. You are sent forms to fill out in advance, but they give you additional ones to complete when you get there. Why do they not send you everything at once? Because they want to surprise you when you get there by telling you that you will be pressured into having all sorts of tests performed and which you will be asked to pay for entirely out of pocket, depending on your deductible and insurance. You are required to sign a document consenting to this, and certain tests are mandatory. For other tests, I was asked repeatedly if I wanted them (i.e., not just once) and, it being a medical office, I felt really uncomfortable as I had no time to do research on these test in advance. In one specific instance, the doctor herself told me she was "99.9% sure" I had Demodex mites and yet still wanted to perform eyelash epilation ($50), something I was asked to do at least three times. In another instance, I was billed $25 for the optometrist to -- without exaggeration -- take a photo of my eyelid with her iPhone. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Taking high-resolution photographs of the interior of your eyelids will set you back another $400. Much of this diagnostic work is of very little clinical significance, but they do not want to admit that. -2- I waited 55 minutes to see the doctor, and that's after complaining twice about the wait time. (Dr. Muller herself spent approximately 8 minutes with me.) But this waiting time is all part of a very deliberate scam. And what is that scam, you might ask? You get to sit and meet with the assistant and optometrist so they can tell you about all the various tests for sale over and over again. -3- Immediately when you step foot inside the practice, you are asked to wash your hands in the bathroom. During my appointment, however, the optometrist walked into the exam room without washing or sanitizing her hands and put her fingers all over a cotton swab that she was about to insert into my eyelids. When I asked if she had first washed her hands -- she hadn't -- she was shocked by the question. She said the cotton swap was sterile but somehow didn't want to acknowledge that her fingers had been all over it. Very few objects remain sterile after people put their non-sterilized hands on them. -4- The actual visit with Dr. Muller was very poor. She was rushed, abrupt, and downright rude. This is basically a scam, stay away! All previous comments are true. When I called they confirmed they participate in my insurance and collected co pay after a SIMPLE routine eye check. After that they collected additional 300$ from my account AND then sold another 300$ debt to the collecting agency affecting my credit score. All after conforming that my insurance will cover this routine 5-minute exam (I was 28 at that time with zero eye issues). Terrible nerve racking experience. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Dr Muller is a rude, abrasive doctor who is only concerned with running expensive tests and getting paid for them. I have since seen 2 separate doctors, both of who were shocked and appalled upon hearing about the tests she ran on me and medication she prescribed for the symptoms I am presenting. Dr. Muller is amazing! She cares for my whole family from age 10 up through adult. She has an amazing chair-side manner. She is the most thorough doctor I have ever been treated by. You have not see an eye doctor until you have seen Dr Muller, trust me. At times there are co pays like all other thorough professionals. Dr. Muller is a genius!!! I have a SEVERE case of chronic dry eye and was desperate for help when I first went to see her. From the first visit, and every one since I have received a comprehensive eye exam and individualized/specialized treatment by Dr. Muller and her assistants. My evaluation and treatment were also geared towards allergies, which came as a surprise but turned out to be integral to my recovery. In just a few months Dr. Muller has cured me of the most terrible eye problems that significantly limited my daily functioning (i.e. feeling like I had glass shards in my eyes, eye lids closing uncontrollably during work, vision impairment, EXTREME light sensitivity, eyes swollen shut at night, etc.). I was a complete mess! But, I followed all of Dr. Muller's instructions and thanks to her, I am thrilled to say I have my life back!!! In Dr. Muller, you will find an extraordinarily bright, knowledgeable, caring, sensitive and competent person. She is clearly the expert, but she always provides you with educated choices so that you are part of a team in decision-making. She doesn't just make you feel better~ she gets you better, and quickly! Her office is clean and lovely, and her staff and physician assistants are all a pleasure to work with. Dr. Muller is very good at what she does, and she knows it. You'll pay top-dollar, but she's professional, has a great staff, and will do a great job. I've been to Dr. Muller plenty over the years, both for dry eyes and for laser eye surgery (LASEK). Her staff are wonderful, they always remember me, and they are very friendly. She is clearly busy, but I feel confidant she spends exactly as much time as needed with me. As far as the LASEK goes, the process was seamless except for one small thing. My vision wasn't perfect after the surgery. But despite that, I still give her 4 stars. The pre-op was great, the surgery itself went very smooth (just enough meds to make me calm, but I remember the whole thing and it didn't hurt at all), and the post-op appointments were very helpful. My vision before the surgery was terrible (-8), and I now have perfect "enough" vision to drive without glasses. That said, compared to what it was like with contacts once upon a time, I know it isn't totally perfect, and that is a bit frustrating. She was convinced it was improve as my eyes healed (the healing process is lengthy and hard, be prepared), which was true, but they didn't improve 100%. Dr. Muller offered to do the surgery for free a 2nd time to get it 100%, which was very kind. I did not take her up on the offer knowing how much of a commitment the healing process was, and not wanting to go through it again. But I'm glad to know that was an option. Prepare to spend lots of moola, but you're spending it for peace of mind that nothing will go wrong just as much as you spend for the service itself. read more
