I have been a patient of Dr Monohans for 10 years. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be a patient…read moredue to issues with treatment by office staff. Lately I have felt rushed, like they don't care, and don't even remember who I am or the issues I have been seeing them for in that 10 years. I had a telahealth appt a month or so ago, and Dr Monohans camera was not working so we just talked on the phone. Although the reason for the appt was not about my stomach, I had mentioned to him the hard spot under my belly button. He said it sounded like it could be a hernia. He left it at that, and quickly finished our appt. As time went on the hard spot kept bothering me so I Googled it. Along with symptoms I had been having, I was very concerned that it was a hernia and that it was potentially strangulated. I called the office to see if he could refer me to a local Dr I had seen in the past, or order an x-ray for me. The nurse Trish was extremely rude, claimed that the hernia would not show up on imaging, and insisted that I could not get a referral without another in person visit. Dr Monohan was on vacation the next week and she said I could not see another doctor, I had to see a PA (which i did not want to do). I set the appt and went in and saw Matthew Palmer who is a NP. I had mentioned that I was uncomfortable showing my stomach because I was fat and had gained weight. His reply was that he "had seen fat people before". During the visit he also tells me that I am lucky, because he could be in a bad mood. He said he is too busy, and that the doctors take vacations and he has to see their patients and squeeze them into his already overloaded day.....SOOO UNPROFESSIONAL! Nothing like paying someone to help you and feeling worse afterword.

(He does explain things really fast, so don't be afraid to have him pause, rewind, and try again! He will take the time to do it!) I was having recurring problems with medication that many other physicians had put me on. It seemed like I was doomed to have all sorts of complications, but when someone recommended Dr. Brillhart to me I decided to visit him as a last resort. He had the problem squared away in a few visits! 2 years later and I feel fantastic!

It appears his wife creates his notes and medical records basically making things up since she was never in the room and his actual notes seem to be vague. His assistant is supposed to make and she demands she makes the appointments with other specialiss but she never did. I have a hard time walking and normally use a wheelchair. On one visit no wheelchair was present and I left mine at home. His assistant saw me attempting to walk way down the hall to a room and told me to hurry up. When I asked her when she was going to call the specialists Dr. Gibbons wanted me to see she started yelling at me and complained she was busy. When I told Dr. Gibbons about her behavior he said he stands by his assistant. My wife had to make the appointments for me by going to the specialists' office and speaking with them. The worst about Dr. Gibbons is when you call to ask to be seen the front office will tell you to go to the Emergency Room. I ran up a $10 thousand bill because he was not there and didn't have a doctor on call. In my opinion he is extremely inept. When I arrived in his care I was previously prescribed pain pills. He immediately took me off them - he took me off "cold Turkey". When I was having seizures and reactions the ER doctors told me he should have admitted me to the hospital or at least watched me but he ignored me. Another time when I was in the ER they found I had an incarcerated triple hernia. I was told to see Dr Gibbons immediately. He did nothing for me. He laughed when I mentioned getting a lawyer involved and told me, " Go ahead by the way you can't sue doctors in Idaho". I feel really bad for his other patients and pray they don't have any medical problems. I wonder how many of his patients died under his non-care.

They actually read my cardiac monitor showing all the high heart rates and 12% Ventricular palpitations. My new Dr actually investigated and researched to find me true help. They validated me UNLIKE this place. They also MIDREAD my chest xray. It ended up I had pneumonia discovered finally by a new pulmonogist.
