Cash Only. We moved…read moreto Carthage this year, and from what I can tell we have two pizzerias here in town. The reviews were good enough, and we would have come sooner but we usually order earlier than 4:30. We finally gave them a call when our pizza day ran a bit late. We were taking the dog to the park, so we had plenty of time to wait. We called them right at 4:30 to place the order right as we were pulling into the park. The place wasn't a traditional restaurant layout. It seemed like it could have actually just been a house with a pizzeria incorporated into it. There's no parking lot, just what appears to be a personal driveway. We parked by the curb next to the building, figuring it was just a quick pickup anyway. There's no online presence and no menu pics, so we just kept it simple and got a large pepperoni. No wings or anything extra, just because we wanted to see what the options were first. We got there some time after 5:00 where we found out we found out they have a specific protocol for ordering. They said they don't even start cooking until 5:45 I think, and they usually take all the orders for the night up front before they start. Everyone we talked to was very friendly though, and since it was just a pizza they said they'd throw it in now for us. We had actually regretted not ordering wings, but they couldn't throw them on without a considerably longer wait time so we stuck with the pizza. We had our dog with us, so we walked around the block while we waited. When we got back to the car, the pizza was sitting in the passenger's seat, so we didn't have to go back in. The pizza itself was below average. It had homemade low effort pizza vibes. Like what you'd throw together after work with dough and sauce you bought from Aldi. There was nothing special about it, and it didn't have much taste. I think most of the reviews here raving about the pizza are from people who grew up eating it, so that's a whole different thing. I feel the same way about my hometown pizza place. I usually order at least twice before I leave a review, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Nothing egregious on their end, and I always recommend you try everywhere once and see what works for you. They've got nothing every other place doesn't have better, in better timing, and usually with online ordering.

After reading Yelp reviews we decided to try the Philly cheesesteak and it was 10/10!! Fresh, hot, plenty of toppings on a hot crusted bun! We also had the SRQ chips! They were SOOO good. If I were to get them again I'd ask for extra balsamic. Personal preference. The Sunday Funday Special was large cheese pizza and 10 wings. $18.99 The pizzas was good (my husband loved it) I thought It needed more sauce. It was thin crust and I reheated leftovers in air fryer and added red sauce and it made all the difference! I really liked it the second time around with a little more sauce! We got the two wing sauces that the review recommended. The House whiskey sauce & the orange teriyaki sauce. They were both phenomenal. I honestly can't pick a favorite. I would order both sauces again! We were kind of bummed that they no longer had sweet potato fries, but the SRQ chips were an excellent replacement! Made us forget about the sweet potato fries immediately! We got waters to drink... All of that food and our (cash) bill was $49!! Saving 1.50 by not using a card. The servers were very good. They basically both ran the entire dining room and bar flawlessly and with great attitudes!! I'd highly recommend!!

Sure there are other pizzerias that have been here for far longer, and they all have their own good pizzas; but none of them come even close to the pizza and other menu items offered at Tony's. The amount of toppings available is amazing, and even toppings available at Tony's that aren't available in most places (anchovies being my top pick). The desserts are an excellent cherry on top with the cannolis and tiramisu being the peak options to go for. You won't find a better pizzeria menu anywhere else. The staff there are always very friendly and have good small conversations when able to. I'm always greeted with a smile and greeting of the day. The venue itself is reminiscent of the small pizza joint you go to with your friends after school or a long day's work. Always very clean and the music never being too loud and obnoxious. You will be sorely missing out on amazing food if you never come here. Make sure you pop in and get yourself a whole pie or a slice. Your tastebuds and stomach will definitely thank you for it and you will definitely not regret it. 10/10 food, staff, service and experience.
