My friend and I just spent two very pleasant weeks here. It's more bed and there's the fridge, which suited us fine--we got up when we wanted and made our breakfast from the assortment of things available--eggs, bread, jam, real butter, tea, coffee, etc. There's always fruit on the table and you can make yourself a snack any time of day or night.
Our room was small, but clean, inexpensive, and the AC worked very well. Other guests all seemed on the level and self-contained. No one bothered us, ever. We felt perfectly safe there at all times. We did wait once or twice for the shared bathroom, but no big deal. Free phone calls to anywhere in North America. Free wifi is SUPER fast, best ever.
The folks who run the place are helpful, genuine, easygoing, and respect your space. Good communication, and no bullshit. They got us parking permits for the neighborhood, and when my laptop power cord died, Emre (the owner) loaned me one of his. That's cool.
The place was beautiful and serene; everything was clean, and it was right around the corner from where we needed to be, close to the subway and a very safe neighborhood.
Thanks, Emre et al for a lovely visit to Toronto!
