I was swabbed Thursday, literally right after they opened, after seeing someone for a virtual visit the day before. I confirmed that the results would be back the same day or at the very latest the following morning. I need the results for travel. While I recognize that covid cases are on the rise and therefore testing is in higher demand, I am traveling with 10+ people who all got results already from different places. It is now Saturday and I still do not have results. I have called the office many times, and I would not describe the office staff as friendly. They always seem a little annoyed. The exception is Gee, who I do think was truly trying to help. I received an email yesterday saying that results were posted to my patient portal. No results. I called and asked about this and was told "that happens" there are no results. Got another email today saying the same thing. Still, no results. WHY is an email going out if there are no results? I should NEVER have been told that the Canton location offers same-day results, as apparently, they don't even have the capability. That said, I confirmed both with the woman who did my virtual visit and the woman who did my swab. I am extremely lucky I was able to beg the staff at Piedmont Urgent Care to make an appointment for me today, Saturday. I would be missing out on a trip to Costa Rica that has been planned for months because of Canton Primary Care otherwise. I would NOT recommend this office for PCR tests. There are too many places delivering results more quickly. They need to educate their staff as to what they offer.

Key areas: Getting refills promptly addressed via portal and without having to place a call to let them know a request has been put in. Ensuring the RIGHT medication is being refilled. Follow up- if there's an issue with insurance or payment or test results or prescriptions, you will not receive a call. You might not even be notified on the portal. To get proper medical service, the patient needs to be on top of them for all the above reasons. If you are an active and engaged participant in your own medical care and are willing to double check things, you'll be fine here. I can say that, for me, I've seen some improvement from years past.
