My brother in law and I golfed Jackson this past week (07/31/26), and after golfing Willows Run, Jackson was a welcomed site! We played here in the early 2000's and it's still a great course. They are also in the process of updating their range which is truly nice! The staff welcomed us with a positive attitude that was truly inviting! They answered any questions/concerns we had. The starter, rangers/marshalls were keeping a close eye on the pace of play which kept things moving as should. The fairways and greens were well kept and manicured. The place in itself was very clean too. We would definitely play here again and would suggest to other golfers to give it a try! Skip Willows and give Jackson a round! read more

We had an amazing time. We golfed here 25 years ago and remembered it very fondly. The city of Seattle really takes good care of their municipal golf courses. This is definitely worth playing. Greens were nice, not park mark like the greens at Willow's. They're building a brand new driving range that looks amazing. The only knock would be that they should've sprung for the auto ball loaders like they have done in Arizona. Grounds crew take fantastic care of the facility, Marshals readily apparent out making sure that everybody's moving along. This is 10 times the golf course that the Willows run complex is. Don't go there go to the Seattle Municipal golf courses. They cost the same. I would rather drive 25 minutes in golf here than it Willow's run, which is only about 10 minutes from my house. read more

Fun course. Pretty good conditions for a public facility. The range is great and the beer selection in the restaurant wasn't bad.

The course is way overpriced (50$ senior on a weekday morning). The condition is terrible. Instead of colors bordering the green there is 4-inch rough right on the edge of the greens. The tee boxes don't have any grass, and this is April, not August. It feels like the fairways haven't been mode in a week. You can lose a ball in the middle of the fairway because of potholes where the grass isn't mowed. read more

Bad management website don't even work how can you book tee time without a working site

Jackson Park Golf Course is a decently-fun, moderately challenging course just north of Seattle. We had a tee-time on a weekday morning at around 8:00 a.m. on a sunny, July morning and there was a decent crowd waiting for their tee times and using the practice facilities. We were able to maintain just under a 4 1/2 hour pace-of-play. We only had a few instances on the back nice where the group in front of us was waiting to tee off as we were putting, but we never were backed up. At worst, for this round, we only had a few holes were we were not able to tee off immediately upon stepping onto the tee box, which was good. The fairways were up-kept/groomed well, but they were far from the lush greens that you'd see in the fall or at more "expensive" golf courses, which is totally fine for the time of year and the location. Although, there were one or two holes where some of the landing zones for drives were rather beat up and could've used a bit more tlc. What was surprising, in a good way, was how challenging some of the greens were. From hole to hole, the greens were undulated differently, had different speeds, and presented different challenges. It made it hard to get a read for the course, but made it fun on a hole-to-hole basis. Overall, this was a good experience for a weekday morning in/and our around Seattle. Are the nicer courses in the area? Sure. But you're paying a lot more to play them and you're likely having to drive a bit farther away. read more

I have only been using the drive range and the par 3 course, so this review is of them. The driving range building is relatively new and has Top Tracer. The actual driving range could use lights as there's enough of a community in north Seattle that they would get used more year round. The par 3 course is pretty busy and great for a short course right after work. read more

STOP SUPPORTING THIS GOLF COURSE!! STOP SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This course and their management does not care about the condition of their course, the players, or the experience of the players. This course is closest to my house, and it's been a stay away for me for awhile now due to a few reasons: 1) The course is maintained at levels much lower than other courses in the area. Multiple greens have dirt patches. Around the greens, you can find more white chalk ("sections under maintenance") than neighborhood full of kids writing on the road. If you miss the green by even a foot, you may be on solid dirt! Multiple tee boxes have clearly not been watered for weeks. 2) The prices here are nothing short of predatory. Which is why I say again: DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!! Peak times you can expect to spend $60-$70 for JUST green fee. Two bottles drinks for $10. $100+ for a full day of cart and drinks at THIS course is LAUGHABLE! 3) This course is the most convenient location to the masses, so expect to run into a lot of slow play, and a lot of lack of etiquette that the staff do NOTHING to manage. It's a free for all out there. Expect a 5+ hour round!! This is an overpriced pile of crap not worth your time, energy, or money. Spend your money at a nicer course for a way better experience! I'd recommend the Nile, Lynnwood, or actually, any other course within city limits!! Now onto what prompted me to post this review. Like I mentioned, this course has been a stay away for me for awhile, but when my friend and I's Fourth of July bbq was canceled, we decided for a last second holiday round and Jackson had the only tee time. My buddy had another thing going on later that night, so only had time for 9 holes. They charged him $60 for 18 and said they "don't have a 9 hole rate". So he had to pay $60 for 9 holes after already coming up to the course. BS!! We tee'd off at 1:31 pm, and the front nine didn't go terrible pace wise, but still slow. Tee boxes were clearly not taken care of, and the white outlines around the greens from years ago still there, when are they going to fix up this course for real?? When we hit the turn, my buddy had to go, and I figured since they forced us to pay 18 hole rate I'd try to play the full run. The back 9 was where the problems really ensued. While waiting on the 10th tee, I noticed a group of 4 who had been a few groups ahead, come out of the restaurant with food. And instead of waiting behind me group, the whipped their carts around and skipped to the 12th tee, back to their place in line. This usually isn't allowed at courses, and many courses have posting that say "if you stop for food you lose your place in line". By the time we got to the 12th tee, that group was still teeing off. I timed it as soon as I got to the box. We had to wait damn near 20!!!! minutes to tee off. This is unacceptable. The Marshall making his round drove past our tee while the group in front of us was struggling to hit the ball 100 yards. I stopped him, and explained what happened with the group cutting in line. Asking if they could do something about that group, kick them off, make them wait at a tee box for groups to go through, or something to solve the pace issue. Because of this clog, we were due for a very long back 9. He responded with "I don't know what they did but please be patient, they're on the green now and these guys in front are waiting to hit when they aren't going to be able to hit that green." So this Marshall saw two pace of play issues and didn't fix them!? When I tried to reiterate what the group did cutting he responded "I don't know what they did" and threw his hands up, which 12 people were waiting at the 12th tee to finally hit their ball. Once my group hit, it was 4:45, which means it took 3:15 to take our tee shot on the 12. I decided it wasn't going to be worth it, and went to the club house to try to get a refund and go home and enjoy my holiday. When I got to the club house, the guy said they have a "no refund" policy. Offered me a "bounce back pass" to come back and overpay for their crap course again, to which i declined (I am never returning to this hell hole). I then asked for a manager, to which he gave me the card of the GM. The number just went to the club house. They did not care about rectifying the situation at all. THIS COURSE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF COURSE, QUALITY OF PLAY, OR THEIR GOLFERS!!! DO NOT SUPPORT JACKSON!! LET THEM TURN THIS LAND INTO AFFORDABLE HOUSING!! read more

Played at this course on Saturday around 2pm. The best park was the price since we got a great deal. The park was also challenging with various water features and many hills. We walked 18 and got a great leg workout. The cons were that it was rightness to thw highway and the first 9 are right next to it. The back 9 were much nicer. Overall a good public course for the price to add into the rotation of seattle public courses. read more

Jackson Park is not the place to play if you are a female golfer on a busy day. This afternoon (6/25), my partner and I made a tee time to play with our two friends. All in all, it was two female golfers and two male golfers. We knew it would be busy because it was a beautiful day out. We got there on time and teed off, and it all went downhill from there. After the two holes, we noticed the group behind us was on top of us. After a few more holes, we let me play through on the 5th. They were grateful for the offer, and we waited for them to go to the green. After we finished the 5th hole and were in the middle of the 6th, Nathan, employed by the golf course, stopped us to reprimand up for our "rate-of-play." We tried to explain to him that we were behind because we let the group behind us play through, but he was not interserted in hearing us. He kept saying, "All I know is you're off time." Again the reason we were off time could easily be explained. After we finished with the first nine holes, my partner, who has played golf with Nathan in the past, tried to explain to him what happened. Nathen wanted nothing to do with the conversation. Saying, "Back when I learned to golf" and "As a golfer, this is how we play." He was more interested in talking down to my partner than figuring out what happened. The problem was very clear from the start. All the groups in front of us and behind us were male. They noticed two females playing in the same group and instantly became annoyed with our play rate. Yes, we may have been slow playing, but we tried to fix the problem, and guess what happened? We got reprimanded for it. If we were a group of all men, this wouldn't have happened. If you want to have an enjoyable experience golfing and are a female, beware of Jackson Park Golf Course. My experience there made me feel terrible, and the way Nathan treated us was horrible. I'm trying to learn to play golf; even when we do the right thing, we are chastised. Do better! Please, for all the female golfers out there, do better. It has a lot of potential but the layout's a little weird, it's not in good even for a muni, tee boxes are brutal, but at least it's in a good location. This is a review of their short nine Par 3 course. I've played the full 18 hole course years ago in the summer and had a good time. The course was well maintained and the greens were firm. However, playing the Par 3 course this fall, it's a drastic contrast. This course is definitely the redheaded stepchild of the courses. Of the public Par 3 courses available in Seattle, this is probably on the bottom tier. Most of the tee boxes are old, dilapidated astroturf probably purchased during the days before the Kingdome imploded. It's not great surfaces to hit off of. Also, half of the greens were littered with leaves, which they neglected to blow off. When my friends and I were on the green, we spent the majority of it removing leaves to find a line for our ball to the whole. I did like the first hole with the dark red barn next to it. If they put a little more love into this Par 3 course, my friends and I would play this more often for a short round. We do play this once or twice a year because the greens fee for this course is about $7.50 and on the cheaper side. However, Jefferson Golf Course charges the same and we would rather play that course than this one due to the maintenance. Nonetheless, it's still a decent course for beginners to learn golf and an alternative versus staying indoors. I just hope they put more effort into maintaining it. read more

It's an okay municipality course. The tee boxes and fairways are not kept up to a quality standard but the greens are up there with the best anywhere. It's a very tough course with narrow fairways and low hanging trees. If you're in the tree line you'll have to punch out to cause minimal damage and just take the stroke. The terrain is very hilly so it's best to know what club to use and where to hit your ball. There aren't a lot of hazards but as I mentioned earlier this course doesn't need them, it's difficult enough. There are only four holes with water and five holes with green side bunkers. Back to the greens. If they are mowed and rolled they are super firm and fast. Also as I mentioned with the fairways being hilly so are the greens. The greens are also very big unlike other municipal courses. There are pin placements that are just stupid to use because your ball will roll off and you'll be chipping again. The course isn't too long and in my experience playing from the blue tees or white tees isn't that big of a difference. Some might argue. I've had some of my better scores from the blue tees. If you aren't one for walking I'd recommended a cart because of the hills you have to walk up and down. I found that the back nine is harder than the front nine even though it's shorter. With that have fun and drink lots of beer. read more

Tee'd off on a Wednesday afternoon with a buddy trying to squeeze in some holes at twilight. The course has some nice character particularly for a munie - very hilly and some narrow shots with trees. It has high potential. That being said, the course was SLOW. We were basically constantly waiting on the front, and on the back 9 a foursome skipped ahead of us on hole 9 (going straight to 10). We caught up to them instantly and they held us up, probably keeping us from playing 16-17 holes instead of 14. Finally, the course was extremely dry. A few of the tee boxes were like bunkers almost. The executive course is in poor condition with literal dirt holes on the greens. This spot could be great, but it needs a little TLC to even be on par with a standard municipal course. read more

Love the course. Very playable, but not easy by any means. Walkable. Nice undulations and pace of play has never been terrible. Like the driving range. Only reason I give it 3 starts is the customer service. I didn't get his name, but the younger asian worker in the clubhouse needs to take a hospitality course. I know it's a golf course, but any time your a front facing employee you need to be, at the very least, polite (and ACT like you care). An apathetic, "Help you.." was the only thing I got. Not even an effort to complete a sentence was given. When I asked if there were any tee times he seemed happy to tell me no. Terrible service. Left my 7 iron on the putting green by the pro shop. Realized it about 20-30 min later, when I was a few holes in, and called to see if they could look out the window of the pro shop (10 foot walk).Said they were "understaffed". So I ran all the way over (anyone who has played here knows that is a trek, up and down, took about 15 min). Nothing on the green, so I walked up to the pro shop, and there stood 3 employees sitting with their feet on the counter, looking at their phones, doing absolutely nothing. While I take responsibility for leaving it, 7 iron could have been stolen in that time I ran all the way over, sad to see three employees could muster up enough energy to walk 10 feet and check if it was on the green. read more

I am a resident of the neighborhood and am sick and tired of the patrons of this golf course speeding by, and worse - yelling out their windows at me as they drive by. I do not believe the management here does enough to communicate to their patrons that this is a neighborhood that they are driving through. The speed limit is 15 mph and people consistently go 40+ driving by people who are out exercising or with young children. The golf course could do so much better! Put out sandwich board signage on the street daily (ex. "Drive Slow - thank you, Jackson Park"), and notify patrons at booking, posters, etc. This is simply unacceptable. When moving to the neighborhood a few years ago I was at first excited about living so close and being able to hit a bucket of balls and get a beer. I visited a few times earlier on but now have grown to hate the golf course because of how dangerous and rude the patrons are! I am a young woman and 8 months pregnant and don't appreciate being yelled at by young males as they speed by! Again this has happened to me multiple times. I do not recommend patronizing this golf course. It's worth a drive to any of the other public golf courses that kept up a lot better any way, like Interbay. read more

So disappointed in how this course has fallen into disrepair. The staff at the Pro Shop is friendly and the putting/chipping practice area and covered driving range are great, but the course is embarrassing. Come here to practice at the range and enjoy their hot dog, beer, and bucket specials, but if you want an enjoyable golf game, forget it. Sure, you're not paying that much to play, but how enjoyable is it to play a rock hard course that is not watered at all? There are two pairs of holes (5 & 6, and 8 & 9) where balls hit into the center of the fairway roll off and through the non-existent "rough" on the side of the fairway to a common spot of dry, cement hard mudpack. On 8 & 9, there is even a rolled up hose and portable sprinkler in the spot where almost all balls hit into either fairway seem to roll off and back into. How about using the sprinkler and putting some seed down to grow grass? Then the lack of any time management on a weekday afternoon causes 4 sets of golfers waiting, backed up by hole 4. A call to the Pro Shop did nothing. Heck, they got the greens fees, you don't like it, leave right? After nine holes yesterday afternoon, I did just that. Sad. At some point the excuses need to stop and places need to take more pride in how they manage their property and cater to their customer base. Plus the homeless camp outside the park near the green on hole 5 is just another sign of Seattle wasting away to complete disgrace. read more

I primarily come here for the 9 hole. It's tough to beat for ~9$. There isn't anything longer than 160 yards, but it's a great way to work on your mid to short game. The greens are in pretty bad shape and aren't exactly helpful in perfecting that part of your game. The greens are pretty slow and on some are basically just sand. It's definitely better than green lake's pitch and putt since the distances aren't all around 60 yards. Be careful of some muddy areas. The driving range is a little pricey, but if you go during the last 2 hours M-F you get double balls. During summer, this is amazing. Grab a beer/drink at the bar, get double balls, head out with your friends and hit some balls. The 18 is a little pricey for what it is, but it's still fun and fairly well kept (especially compared to the 9 hole). When I went the first or second hole was still being worked on and once you made it on the green it was an automatic two putt. Some challenging spots and fairly fun. For me, the 9 hole is why I come here. read more

We like to go up and hit a bucket of balls once a week. They have a beautiful new driving range (within the last year or so). You can get food and beer up there. We like to make a night of it. Very sad to have to bash this course but the last 3 experiences have forced me to leave a 1 star. The course is typically always in awful shape and the pace of play is horrendous especially if you're behind the ladies club day. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how well the greens were rolling 2 weeks ago,... but it was again overshadowed with disappointment after my 6 hour round. (someone shoot me) If you're going to try to play one of the city courses, West Seattle is your spot. No brainer. I unfortunately will never return here. read more

This is a Seattle City course (run by parks & rec) which means it's reasonably priced and you'll feel right at home if you aren't too concerned about tracking your handicap. That is not to say there aren't great golfers here, just plan on a few extra minutes per round since the majority of the players are learning, just like you and me. :) They have some hills which make for a few more interesting holes. I enjoyed all the foliage and thought the course was scenic. The front nine is a little loud as you play by I-5, but on the flip side it means Jackson Park is very convenient to get to. You can call in your food for the turn (they even have a menu posted after the 9th tee box) and I would highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches. That could have been the hangover talking...but regardless the bacon and egg on a bun really hit the spot! read more

The driving range is finally built! This adds a lot of allure to this course, which was already good from the start. The course is a fun one to play, but might be tough for some beginners due to some of the long, corridors that don't offer a lot of room for error. The grounds are typically in pretty good condition and price is just right for 18. The driving range just finished up about a month ago and is great in both the day and night. It's easy to track the ball with the ample lighting and I haven't had any troubles finding a stall unlike how busy it gets at Interbay. Unfortunately, the short tees are basically unusable because they barely fit through the hole on the pad. This is rather annoying. Overall, a nice course with a great driving range. read more

Hey for a pub-links what do you want? I love this place, many fond memories of teeing off for the very first time with my buds. Needless to say I learned how to say "FOUR!" real quick, my tee shot off the first tee almost killed a foursome on the 9th green!! YIKES! For the price you get plenty of challenging golf, and for the newbies the short 9 is fun to play. Go in the off season for a cheap tune up as the course is usually pretty dry. Significant issue with Car Prowlers and vehicle damage at this golf course. The course and staff are well aware and have recently increased signage to not leave valuables in cars. However, there are no attempts to monitor the small parking lot or implement other changes which will increase the safety of their customers property (video cameras). 5 cars in the middle of the small lot had their windows smashed at Noon on a Friday including mine (which did not have any visible enticing items). None of the employees I spoke with were surprised and stated it is a known, huge issue. I play this course a couple times a month but will not come back knowing they willfully neglect to protect their customers. This was my first time ever golfing on an actual course (and not a driving range). The 9 hole course here was perfect for me! I shanked a lot of balls in to the woods, but still had a good time! The holes on the 9 course, are shorter, but still could provide some challenge to beginners and intermediate players. We were there during prime time on a Sunday and behind a dad & kids, and in front of a trainer with a beginner. This worked out perfect, as we didn't have pros steam rolling over the top of us. I had a good time as a new player of the game and look forward to going back! Parking was good/ample. Club house was good, but minimal. Can book tee time online, which makes it really easy. read more

Okay, it's not Augusta National or Sahalee here but it's not bad at all. Jackson is a nice public course that won't set you back 100 bones to play golf. And, the course is laid out so you are less likely to get skulled by Roscoe's shank from the adjoining fairway. Get out there early in the summer and you'll find a course in great shape with good greens that will test you a little so your not banging driver-sand wedge into every green (as is the case with some other publinks around here). You can make tee times online which is nice and they also allow 9 hole green fees. If you have an early tee time you get a discount. read more

I paid around $62 for a round of golf. I got called into work and went to receive my money back for the 9 that I didn't play and they don't do that. I don't understand how a course can do that? How do you not have a 9 hole rate? I've golfed at many high end golf courses and choose Jackson park because it's close to home and I could get on very quickly, but when you pretty much get cheated out of money you get a very sour taste in your mouth. The greens are sub par. Nobody repairs their divots whatsoever. They do have a driving range, which is nice though. The course is ok. I would recommend somewhere else if you want a nice course that first time golfers don't destroy. I would rather drive out of the Seattle area and play at Washington National. Great value if your timing is just right. Always call or go online to look for different deals at different times of the day and different seasons of the year. Out of all the municipals around here, I think Jackson Park is one of the harder ones. I am a beginner, so hopefully that clears things up for some of you more experienced players. The average hole length is longer than Jefferson or Bellevue. There were only a few par 3's from my recollection. There are some hills to hike, so keep that in mind when walking. There is no driving range, but they do have a par 3 course. Tip: 2 for $5 millers from the beer cart girl. read more

I personally love this course, great slope and different challenges at every hole. The range is heated downstairs and has some amazing bucket and beer specials (the range closes at 7 on Wednesday to do regular maintenance). They have a par 3 short course to sneak nine in (the greens are not in the best shape but for a practice area it's fantastic). They have a putting green up top and down behind nine they have a shipping and wedge approach area. The staff are the best around, you go a couple times and they treat you like a member. They also have a lord of all coaches...Head Pro Dave Boivin -he helps kids through seniors learn, fix, or create a swing. The guy is a legend and has a fantastic assistant pro that he is preparing for the knowledge only a Jedi could posses. Nico has the knowledge and the touch to make those minor adjustments needed to take the next step with your swing whether it's ball flight, spin control, or distance control. They also offer amazing programs for children through The First Tee of Greater Seattle and Junior PGA. The course is well kept with the unrelenting rain of Seattle some of the back nine can get soggy but dries out in season. They have a fair amount of protected greens and water hazards a few 5s and some 3s just like you'd hope. Go play I'm sure you will have a fantastic day and receiver great service. This is my local course and I've played it a lot over the past year. Even though it is a Seattle Municipal course, it's damn challenging! Jackson has some of the roughest elevation changes of any course in our area. Up and down, up and down. That leads to some very difficult shots, awkward stances, and very tired legs! I fully take advantage of Jackson's twilight specials. During the summer they have super twilight for like $13 and you tee off after 7:00, which gives you just enough time to get in nine holes no problem. Recently I've taken advantage of their winter twilight rate, which starts at noon for $16. It's a really great deal for anyone who doesn't mind playing during the winter season. As for the short nine (Executive Nine), that's a fun time for golfers of any age or skill level. You can sneak a couple beers out there and play a quick short nine in no time. It's frustratingly* short for regular golfers, but for beginners and non-golfers, it's just right. *I'd like to trademark this word read more
