I wouldn't recommend this place at all -- they are straight up lowballers. I brought in a 14k gold ring weighing 3.1 dwt when gold was at $4,588/oz, which comes out to roughly $394 in melt value. They claim they pay the "best prices," yet only offered me $123, which isn't even close. That kind of offer feels misleading and dishonest. I wouldn't trust them with selling any of your gold or silver -- this was by far the lowest quote I've received anywhere. I was assisted by Charles Jackson, who informed me that the repair would be completed within 24 hours and instructed me to return on July 3 at 2:00 p.m. to pick up the necklace. He also wrote "2:00 p.m. pickup" on my receipt. Based on that promise, I paid $60 for the repair, which included the $30 repair fee plus an additional $30 tip because I was assured the work would be completed by the following day. When I returned on July 3 at approximately 1:50 p.m., I found a notice on the door stating that the business had closed at 1:30 p.m. that day. Since July 4 was a national holiday, the store remained closed, forcing me to wait until July 6 to retrieve my necklace. On July 6, I sent my daughter inside to pick up the necklace while I waited in the car. She called me on FaceTime because the employees attempted to give her a necklace that did not belong to us. I then went inside and provided my claim ticket along with photographs of my son's necklace to prove ownership. I made it clear that I would not leave without the correct item. During this interaction, I spoke with a female employee while Charles Jackson sat in the back, listening to the conversation but making no effort to assist. He acted as though he did not recognize me or remember the transaction. After reviewing the photographs and documentation I provided, the employee stated she would continue searching for my necklace and would call me if she located it. Because I was not willing to leave without my property and indicated that I would contact law enforcement if necessary, another employee eventually stepped forward and stated that he remembered repairing the necklace. He then located it in a drawer. Shockingly, my necklace had been placed in an envelope bearing another customer's name. Not only was my necklace not ready at the promised pickup time despite my paying an additional tip for expedited service, but I was also nearly given someone else's property. Throughout the entire ordeal, no one apologized for the inconvenience, the mishandling of my jewelry, or the distress this situation caused. This experience demonstrated an alarming lack of professionalism, organization, and accountability. Entrusting customers' valuable jewelry to the wrong envelopes creates a serious risk of loss or theft and is completely unacceptable. Went in on my day off 10/7/25, to see how much it would cost to get a stone put on to my band. This stone is substantially larger than the one I currently have mounted and would require a 6-prong head vs. my 4-prong that is currently in place. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bruce and told him I would like a quote. I asked what the current price of gold was and he told me. The reason I asked is because my diamond broker told me an hour prior, the price of gold was high. He gave me a quote, and I left to think about it. Went back the same day, withing the hour, and dropped the ring off. Said it would be done within a week. 10 minutes after I arrived home he calls and says " Since the price of gold is so high the mount now costs more so the price will need to increase by $180. Sorry" WHAT??? You know the current price of gold, as you just confirmed the price when I asked. On a weird twist of fate, same day, maybe 30 minutes after dropping my ring off and after the message, I was selling an item on Marketplace and was speaking to the lady who was making the purchase and I had just listened to the message and expressed my frustration during our transaction. She had mentioned had her wedding ring custom made at Jackson Jewelers and they did the same thing to her. She said once they had the ring and everything was done they said there were "Unexpected" charges. Not a call before to let them know or get an approval. Said it was close to 2K in upcharges and what could they do? Long story short, I went back and picked up my ring and diamond the next day. Here's where it gets FRIGHTENING!!! Woman asks if she can help me, tell her I'm here to pick up my ring, give her my pickup ticket. Looks in the "Drawer" that doesn't seem to be LOCKED. Can't find it. Ask's Miranda, who is in the back, if she knows where my ring is? Oh yeah Miranda says. It's on my DESK!!! WTF?!?!?! There are many, MANY yellow envelopes with people's jewelry on her desk. Right out in the open. NOT SECURE AT ALL... Someone could come in and swipe all these envelopes off the desk and take off. Valuable jewelry to never be see again. Not sure about anyone else, but this was horrifying to me. My 3-carat round diamond that I brought in to replace the 1 carat princess cut in my 1/4" gold band (14K) was sitting on her desk, wide open, unsecure with no thought of what could happen if someone wanted to come in and steal people's precious gems... I walked in and was politely greeted and immediately helped. I was originally going to melt my baby jewelry into an index finger ring, and Miranda drew up a beautiful design. After a little over a week my fiancé and I talked about changing the design to making it my wedding band, so I called and Miranda had me come in to discuss the design change. She was very accommodating and completely understood the vision. The turn around time is incredibly quick and I'm extremely happy with the results. I removed one star only because I do believe the organization/storage of jewelry and information is extremely risky. Miranda writes all her notes on a small envelope which luckily wasn't an issue for my project, but I can see it being subject to confusion and a risk for accidentally making an old or incorrect design. She also called me saying my ring was ready, and it was someone else's. Not a big deal to me, but I do think it's again a pretty big risk especially when working with jewelry. So I suggest organizing stock and keeping notes of each project in a filing cabinet if computer systems aren't user friendly. I was recommended to go here by a friend when I stepped in I was not greeted there's no warm fuzzy feeling, the place looks loved on through the years. My platinum ring was a size 7 and I needed a size 6 it was going to be 65.00 a few weeks later a woman calls me and tells me that the price has gone up to $165 it was 2 days after the pick up date so when she called I thought she was just calling to remind me to pick up my ring, I asked her why the price increase, she explained to me because it was Platinum and going up so many sizes up it will cost more. I told her no it is not going up it's actually being downsized to a size 6. Then I could hear her mumbling and rereading her notes she then says oh he misread my writing you know what forget I even called,your ring will be ready in a few days. She caught me during a week I was horribly busy and I had no reaction again being referred I was like do I continue... they have my ring already ....and thought they have to fix it! Never received a phone call telling me it's ready,I just went in and checked. The ring had noticeable notches in it showing where they combined the ring sides. I told the lady and then she began to look at it with her magnifying piece which you didn't even need it was clearly there and you could feel it. She gave it to a man and he put it to a machine smoothing it out in front of me. The shop is small you'd think he would make some conversation but nope not even a remark he just grabbed it and put it to the machine. It was an odd feeling. He gave it back to her, she gave it to me,the notch was still there just smoother. At this point over the previous calls and now in person, with not one real good greeting, conversation, or apology I just told her I'll take my ring as is. Overall I don't recommend this place,it's outdated, the staff lacks customer service skills, and lacks the skill of quality jewelry repairs. Very upsetting experience had something custom made which was not cheap talking close to $2k with my late mother's ring had multiple rings I wanted to make into one ring for my engagement. Let me just start by saying Miranda doesn't keep tabs on your items diamonds or not let alone keep an inventory of what was dropped off. I had to have it remade due to it not being what we agreed on, and I had to pay more. Then I told her she was missing a decent size diamond and some other smaller ones and some sapphires and she told me no she wasn't and said I only brought in this. I had to show pictures of everything I brought in. She said she would find them and call she never called.... I've Called so many times and she's always on vacation or out to lunch and she'll give me a "call" back. So I'm taking a huge loss on my late mother's stones that was going to be used as a wedding band. I'm very upset. They need a better system and a better designer who can admit they fucked up. Keep in mind that Bruce will tell you he offers "fair" prices for gold, etc. that he purchases. This is the farthest from the truth and bother my mother and eye were taken advantage of. With the price of gold so high, we both should have received much more than we were given. Yes, we accepted what he was offering and could not have and left. I also state the Bruce is in business to make money, but he clearly is taking advantage of customers lacking knowledge. If you do choose to sell him old jewelry, do your due diligence and obtain the current selling price of gold per ounce and then make a decision. He will unfairly profit off of your belongings if you do so choose to do business with him. Further, I'm amused at one of his latest TV commercials that states "we will treat you like family". Soon as i asked about the large coin he realized i was the person that bought his coins the previous day, his attitude changed entirely. Its absurd that 3 jewelers from 3 DIFFERENT STATES appraised the ring under a grand when 4 grand was actually paid for the ring. Also, their return policy is non-existent. When we first went in we picked out her band the lady who works there, Miranda, measured her finger as a 7.5, and wrote down the model of ring. After paying $4,000 and giving it to my wife, she informed me that the ring was a 6.5, and not even the correct band that she ordered. Keep in mind that I paid it off over 2 months and on multiple occasions repeated that she is a size 7.5. They never gave me an out the door total for the ring until I had already put a deposit for the ring. My wife also brought in my $450 watch to fix it and when they gave it back they had done nothing more than put the back plate on. Concerning the ring, they charged me $2,250 for the diamond alone (appraised at $800 by an ACTUAL jeweler) and I was given no certification, not to mention that they LIED to me about the price and rarity of the stone.
