I was in the middle of a huge…read morelife change and dealing with somethings way bigger than me so I decided to reach out to a therapist. I found Laura and scheduled an appointment. Immediately upon entering her office I didnt feel comfortable but I figured it was just nerves and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I disclosed some things that I had done that I was none too proud of, and all she did was make me feel worse about it. I thought therapist were supposed help you get to the root of where the behavior comes from. To make thibgs worse, i am epileptic and I have side effects that keep me from driving or just functioning in general. I had 2 emergencies back to back that kept me from my appointments, so what does she do call me up, tell me how irresponsible and inconsiderate I was and that i was still on the hook for the $200 office visits. Seriously lady? I get it your time is worth money but this was an EMERGENCY! Hace a heart! Good thibg i wasnt suicidal cause this lafy would have put me over the edge. And to add insult to injury, she sent me to collections for the $200 missed office visits. Do yourself a favor, keep looking.

she was my counselor throughout my childhood. she tried to…read morehelp me be independent and said I needed to get a job & drive and if I didn't she would stop seeing me as a counselor. turns out I am physically unable to drive due to disability, and I tried to get a regular job for 1 1/2 years moving to a new place as an adult & applied to over 100 jobs & had 17 interviews with no one wanting to hire me. I eventually started my own business, but I'm still unable to drive. the fact that she didn't understand my disability and forced me to either work & drive or no longer see me was the opposite of what counselors are meant to do. they're meant to help mental health. not try to force you to do things when you're disabled.
