Earlier this month, I ended up at St. John's Medical Center under Dr. Andrew Bullington's care after a snow skiing accident at the nearby Jackson Hole Mountain Mountain Resort. I could not have been more pleased with the attentive care I received from the hospital staff and from Dr. Bullington. It is often difficult when you end up in an out of town hospital (particularly in a small city) since your medical options are typically limited However, it's obvious that the level of care at St. John's is not related to the size of Jackson - it is truly quite exemplary. With respect to Dr. Bullington, I was extremely pleased with his professionalism (medical knowledge & experience), bedside manner (communication skills) and his general level of concern for my well being. I had a very serious break in my leg which needed to be treated immediately, but with a subsequent surgery in mind a few weeks down the road. Dr. Bullington took the time to explain all of my options, enumerated the pros and cons of each choice and then executed the surgery efficiently and effectively. From a "bedside manner" perspective, he also took the time to call my wife back in Dallas after the surgery to give her an update and also returned to the hospital quite late in the evening (well after normal business hours) to check on my progress. In summary, while I don't recommend skiing through a mogul and breaking your leg, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bullington and St. John's if you end up in need of orthopaedic care in Jackson, WY. read more
