I was in the process of a home purchase and the generator circuit board got taken out by a lightning strike. The previous home owner turned in a claim to have repaired. This was in August of 2021. I was informed by Mr Jackson that it might take up to 3 weeks to get the circuit board in because of the supply problems. I was fine with that. After many calls and promises to come out and install the new board which did arrive in the 3 week window, Mr Jackson finally came out and installed the board and left without telling anyone and without verifying it would run. After sitting all summer without the maintenance run cycle that battery went dead. I contacted him after a few calls and asked him when he was coming out to install the board and that is when he informed me that he already did and the battery was dead so he didn't run it. I'm not sure why a repair person wouldn't have the means to jump start a battery on a generator since that is what his job is. Generator repair.
I charged the battery and attempted to start it on November 24th and it won't start. I call him the Friday after thanksgiving and he didn't answer his phone. I attempted to call Tuesday the 30th and no answer. My realtor called him and he answered, she explained that the generator wouldn't start. He says it's not related to the lightning strike and he screened my calls because I was a a**hole. Besides trying to get him to finish the job he was paid for and making polite phone calls I'm not sure how I came across that way.
I would not recommend him for any job. If he finishes a job for you it might be months down the road.
Now I have to hire a new company to finish what he started. read more
