The facilities and grounds were beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and seating area both before and after the services. The pics on line don't show their wild flower bed, so just know it's even prettier out there in person! I do wish they had a sauna/steam room. But everything else made up for that... let me tell you the best part: Because our services ended at noon, we asked if we'd be able to order any light lunch fare afterwards. Unfortunately the kitchen of the restaurant there was/is closed between 10am-3pm and so far they weren't allowing guests to bring in off-property food into the spa (smells, mess, etc.). That made sense to us, and we figured we'd just skip lunch that day. However, they have a wonderful and experienced spa director, Kimberly Acker, who surprised us as we left the massage room and said, "Follow me." She led us upstairs to, their outdoor rooftop deck, The Perch, where a bottle of Prosecco on ice, three types of avocado toast, and a bowl of berries awaited us! We felt like royalty sitting there in our robes by a giant fireplace sipping bubbles and nibbling on healthy bites post-service! Kimberly said our request had been a good test run for how to offer spa-appropriate food partnering with other local vendors to guests (aka: no smelly cheeseburgers etc.! LOL!) Wow! We were so impressed we came back for a drink in their beautiful bar and dinner at the hotel restaurant, Wild Sage. Delicious!!! Next time perhaps we'll stay there at the hotel too (this time we were in our Airstream over at The Virginian, which we were sad to hear won't be there much longer.)

They supply mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters for the traveling yogi, or anyone who forgets to bring theirs! There are cubbies and a coat rack for your belongings and two unisex restrooms just outside the yoga studio. A couple hours prior to class I stopped by and met one of the Center's managers, Rebecca (very sweet) was hosting an open house for expectant moms featuring all they offer in prenatal and postpartum yoga classes, wellness treatments and support. Medicine Wheel also offers physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, Spiritual direction and other fitness training classes. They have essential oils and treatments and other health supplements and yoga equipment for purchase. My instructor, Ari, was so gifted and exuded such peaceful energy i immediately felt at ease and welcomed. She asked from the elements which I'd most benefit and I chose Earth to get some practice grounding and balancing. She did a super job of leading us through the breathing and poses, encouraging us throughout the Hour whenever our bodies were not cooperating. At the end of shavasana she gave us a brief and gentle foot massage which was heavenly!! It can be intimidating going to a new studio but Medicine Wheel's staff and facilities are inviting, energizing and comforting, too. This is truly a healing space!! And you can sign up on Returned two days later for yoga with Rebecca and massage with Dee- still amazing!! Where our issues lied: First, multiple people doing nails would just get up to work on other customers nails which delayed time for multiple patrons unexpectedly. The job generally felt rushed- this would be okay if the quality was also fine. One of my gel nails chipped within 24 hours of getting them done. Massive disappointment. The pricing was not bad at all, especially for a touristy area. But I guess you get what you pay for- cheap prices + rushed services = issues with product which I unfortunately faced. This place, I believe, would be solid if you're getting a super simple mani pedi last minute, need a single or two nails repaired, but would not suggest for full service if you're looking for a quality over price.
