Lua Vietnamese in Edison pleasantly surprised us with both flavor and creativity…read more We ordered the beef pho, which was deeply aromatic with a clean, rich broth and tender slices of beef. The standout twist? You can add bone marrow on the side, which takes the soup to another level--luxurious, savory, and perfect for stirring into the broth for extra depth. A must for pho lovers who appreciate a little indulgence. For appetizers, the sticky rice dish was excellent--crispy on the outside, soft and comforting inside, and well-balanced with sauce and texture. Simple, satisfying, and done right. The space itself is sleek and modern with warm tones and greenery, making it a great spot for a relaxed lunch or casual dinner. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out well-paced.

I love short ribs so this was an easy decision for me. The ribs were very tasty and delicious with a very flavorful marinade. Some pieces were a bit on the chewy side but that's meant to be expected. The veggies were fresh and crisp and made a nice accompaniment. My hubby went with the Lemongrass pork chop platter that had a little bit of everything. He also commented that the chops had a very tasty marinade very similar to my ribs. He enjoyed his dish as well. Service was very friendly and attentive and we look forward to our next visit and sampling something new on the menu.

Then 3 years ago I went island hopping in Hawaii, visited a luau and fell even more in love with the hula dance because the meaningful storytelling component was inspiring and beautiful. The dancers were mesmerizing and incredible--fluidly combining ancient and modern dance variations. I have never seen the hula dance like that since. After the luau, I headed to Waikiki market the next day and bought a hula skirt. Been intending to start ever since--but as with everything timing has to be right. I finally made it Today to Halau Na Pua Mai Ka Lani Nuioka--and I am officially in love with hula dance. Tristan and Chris are awesome and welcoming!! I adored that the meaning of the dance movement and Hawaiian words were discussed and proper form was underscored. Both Tristan and Chris were great historians! We will definitely be back.

They have many menu options ranging from preset poke bowls, to make your own, combo meals, and mini meals. Drinks are about $2.50 a piece, and a wide variety of Hawaiian Sun, casual soda. I was tempted to get the mini meal since I don't eat a lot, but I ultimately caved and decided to get the combo meal since I wanted to try the Kailua pork too. The verdict? The Kailua pork was a little too salty for me, it comes mixed with like cabbage or lettuce, and overall very mushy which I didn't mind. However the Chicken Katsu came with a bbq type sauce and everyone thought the sauce was delicious. My fiance ordered the bbq mix which included the bbq chicken, beef, and short ribs and I thought the beef was so yummy. The portion size was big. All the combos come with either 1-2 scoops of rice and macaroni salad. My meal was pretty perfect for 2 whole meals for me. I ate the katsu with my leftover rice for breakfast the next morning! The food comes in takeout containers which makes it very easy for you to take to go if you don't finish. I might have to come back and try the poke next time...

I went there for dinner on a weekday at around 6:30 and by 8pm it was starting to get busy. The food quantity is huge - I had enough to take home and have for two more meals. I ordered the half ribs and half beef - my only con is that it's very sweet, I needed some spice so when I went home I added jalapenos and heated it. They do have siracha tho if you'd like that.

The food is fair --…read moreroughly on par with your favorite local Chinese takeout spot -- but the food alone isn't really the reason you come here. Walking inside feels like stepping into a themed Disney or Times Square restaurant, just without the inflated prices, and that atmosphere adds a fun calming charm to the experience. You're probably not going to get a "knock your socks off" meal or world-class service and the cocktail menu can feel a little mysterious, filled with drinks you may or may not recognize. Still, no matter what you order, some fruity and alcoholic concoction will appear at your table, and chances are you'll enjoy it even if you're not entirely sure what it is. At the end of the day, it's just a great little spot -- perfect for birthdays, family dinners, kids, or simply a fun night out.

Chaotic upon entering! We got there a bit before 9:30pm (we checked to ensure they'd still be open - yes 11:00pm) and the manager said - if you know what you want, hurry up! Kitchen is closed! LOL - Wah?! Anyway, we got our pu-pu platter and shared a fried rice and sweet n sour chicken. The platter was fun; the food just OK. It was karaoke night and we were happy that a lot of the patrons this evening were a young and mixed crowd - meaning this place might still live on for another generation. Hey - why not? Cool Polynesian-themed (albeit VERY dated) decor and mai-tai's that'll knock you on your butt if you have two or more! I do hope Mgt decides to spend a few bucks on this place though -- the carpeting is pretty gross and the chairs look like they're from grandma's basement. Old! Anyway - fun blast-from-the-past night for just the two of us. Cheers!

The omelet station was great and the staff so accommodating. My favorite was the Belgium waffle, yummy. The service wait staff kept the coffee flowing at an additional fee, good coffee noted. The mimosa was weak, bartender not sympathetic when mentioned at nine dollars. To sum it up, for the price, pleasant and roomy atmosphere to enjoy lingering on a Sunday, and efficient staff, yes I give this a positive rating. Check out the website, it is all encompassing to see if it meets what you are looking for.

In other words, it was all the same stuff you usually get at every breakfast buffet. Then one day we went for dinner and it was basically all the usual steakhouse type items. You had sandwiches, steak, prime rib, chicken etc. But again, the food really wasn't anything special. There are steakhouses that give more flavor and better cooked meals than here. Same goes for the sides, they were all mediocre at best. They all felt like they could be much better because there were flavors missing and the quality of the food just wasn't as good as many other places we've been to. The service overall was fine but nothing super special as it's expected. And the ambiance overall is good because it has that western steakhouse feel and the nice decorations you'd normally see at most steakhouses or western themed restaurants.
