The best beef jerky in the country. The sausage is great too. It is worth the trip to Post, TX.

This is an authentic butcher!!! We were told the jerky (not traditional but AMAZING) was a must as was the smoked cheese, we loaded up!!! We couldn't pass-up the opportunity to have hand cut ribeye steaks cut to order!! You can have them cut as think as you want and even seasoned!! If you're in Post you have to stop by, it's nothing to look at from the outside, but the quality of meat is hard to beat!!! read more

I purchased 4 lbs. of beef jerkey to give as Christmas gifts. All 4 family members that I gave the jerky too told me that their jerky molded horribly within just a few days of opening the package. I have emailed the company several times in an effort to get a refund and they seemed to be concerned and agreed to refund my money, but I have yet to recieve a refund and am getting nothing but lame excuses now. I had even included photos in the email of the molded jerky. So I would not recommend this business to anyone after this experience. read more

I always take the phrase, "World Famous Beef Jerky" with a grain of salt. In my experience, rarely is jerky world famous for being good. World famous for being dry? Sure. World famous for being tough? Absolutely. At any rate, I'm always willing to pull over and try anyone's world famous jerky when I see a sign touting it as such. Folks, I've got to say, when the Jackson Brothers claim they have "World Famous Beef Jerky", they're seriously telling the truth because they may very well make the BEST BEEF JERKY I've ever eaten. It's no joke. If you're a carnivore like myself reading this, you really owe it to yourself to go in and get you some of this shit because it will change your life. read more

I went here on my trip to Austin, excited to have jerky on the way. Well, it was just like eating pieces of meat cutlets that had been smoked, but it wasn't jerky. It was flavorful, expensive, and again, not what I expected. Next time I want jerky, I guess I'll wait to buy it from another place. But, I will look before I buy. This time I just didn't think to ask. read more

Passing through on our way up to Colorado, recently, we stopped off at this great little place. It's located slightly off the main drag. You won't believe the amount of beef jerky you can get for $15... this is no joke! They were out of the German smoked jalapeno sausage but I plan on hitting this place backup on the way back lol The smoked cheese looked pretty amazing as well. read more

We were driving through Post on our way to the balloon fiesta in Albuquerque New Mexico. Saw a billboard advertising best jerky in West Texas. As I love beef jerky my wife and I decided to stop and buy some. The price was very good so we bought 2 pounds. Sampled it when we were in Albuquerque and decided we had to have some more. On the way back to Houston we stopped and got three more pounds. Kept three and gave away 2 pounds to family and friends. It is a lot thicker than the beef jerky that I'm used to but the flavor was fantastic. read more

I saw a spot on TV about this place and having lived in Lubbock for a few years, was familiar with Post, Texas. The segment highlighted the thick peppery jerky and I had to get my hands on some. Today the meat was delivered and it is without a doubt the best jerky I've ever had. Lots of pepper, but not too spicy and the flavor of the beef is just outstanding!! If we ever head to Lubbock (would have to be UT football game), we'll make it a point to stop at Jackson Brother's!! read more

We traveled through Post, Tx on our way to the Grand Canyon. There road side sign advertising Best Beef Jerky was easy to miss but I'm so glad we didn't!! We bought 2 lbs of the pepper jerky and we all say it was the best jerky we have ever had!! We stopped for jerky but wound up getting steaks too. Great prices on everything and very tender. My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to this finest of establishments. If you are within 500 miles of this place, it's a must stop!! read more

The jerky is incredible. We live in Utah and used to stop in Post on our way to, and from Abilene for a Holly Burger and Jackson Brothers beef Jerky. If you haven't had either, both are a must. Holly's won't ship me a burger, but Jamie is more than accommodating and will ship jerky. I've not purchased any of their other meats. But if their jerky is any indication, you will not be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and give these folks a try, you will be happy you did. read more

Stopped here in May on the way to Lubbock in our RV. Saw the billboard as we drove through Post TX. Got a pound of beef jerky. BEST EVER!! I live in FL and just ordered some more to ship to me. Can't wait to share with friends! read more

Best jerky on earth, it's not even a debate once you try it. I grew up in Dallas and would drive though Post intentionally on my way to school in Lubbock for their jerky. My advise, what ever the order size you have in your head - double it. read more

I stop by here every time I drive to Lubbock. This place is amazing!! I've tried everything from the steaks, to the beef jerky, to the summer sausage, to the hamburger patties. The smoked cheese is to die for. I wouldn't be able to choose my favorite. Everyone needs to stop by here! Even though I live 300 miles away, I can still get my fix because they SHIP!!! read more

Really good, thick jerky. A friend shared some with us and we really liked it, so we picked some up on our way through Post. We have only tried the peppered kind and it is delicious. We bought 2 lbs at 15/lb. We plan to share some because it is so different (and much better) than any jerk we've had read more

It's good beef jerky but not as good as Woody's in Centerville Tx. We got a pound, & there were 5 huge pieces of jerky in the bag. Never had thick jerky before. Also the guy at the counter taking the money is the same one picking up the jerky & placing it in the sack. No hand washing between handling money & food read more
