just seems like this bar is more tailored towards people that are of the younger crowd not the older crowd that used to go there. I didn't feel welcomed and I felt like there was drugs and other weird things going on just wasn't my scene. I loved it when Sarah was working there. That seemed like the time when it was a great bar now it just seems like a place for people would just clicks to meet up. No sense of people wanting to be together as a group and that's just in my opinion and what I've seen as compared to other places I've been in Raleigh. I would love to be proved wrong. Not sure how this place has the rating it does. That or I really came in on the wrong night. It was Friday night and the bar was pretty empty. I came in with a very large group of people and the bartenders mode instantly went south, because of the upcoming packers game and how invested she was into the game. She didn't want to take our orders and when she did she was very reluctant to do so. I ordered one drink and when I closed my tab i made the mistake of giving her my card before seeing what i was going to be charged for. I ended up being charged $17 for my one beer and when i brought it to her attention she was cursing me out and telling how much all she wanted to do was watch the game. I kept my cool and tried my best to de escalate i even offered to just sign the receipt just to be over it and she ended up crumpling the receipt up. Im not sure why but im pretty sure she is a tweaker. After this episode she literally told me to watch the bar while she went to the bathroom and im not even kidding she was gone for 10-15 minutes. I really do not recommend this place unless you plan to be verbally assaulted. Or just want an interesting story to tell people about. read more

A decent lil dive bar. Be sure to have your membership card with you as they make you sign in when you first get to the bar. A lil odd but whatever. Drinks are neither cheap nor overpriced. There is a small stripper pole stage and a jukebox with a decent selection. People are pretty chill and the bartenders are nice. Pretty cool dive bar. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is chill and understated. There are pool tables, a couch area, and a pretty decent sized bar. The girls behind the counter are super friendly and nice. The drinks are decently priced. My friend had a Shirley Temple (don't roll your eyes! And it was my friend- not me!) which only cost $1. Pretty good music selection, although you will find yourself getting hoarse after chatting for a short period of time cuz the volume is pretty loud. FYI- They don't serve food, which was kinda disappointing. And no, the chips behind the counter don't count. hahaha.... Maybe it's just me, but I always look forward to pub food when I'm at bars. I love fries, burgers, cheese sticks, the lot... And just in case you missed the memo like I did, this is an LGBT hotspot. What can I say man? I'm new to the area and my gaydar failed me. I personally love this bar. It's a typical hole in the wall and isn't something big and crazy. However everyone from the bar staff (Michele on Monday and Tuesday) to Ann the owner is amazing! Great drink specials and they usually put out little finger foods to eat. Also, quite possibly the cheapest billiards in town. Tuesday night there is a $5 buy-in 8-ball tournament and the rest of the time it's only .50 to play a game of pool. Go check them out! read more

Lackluster experience. It's definitely more of a local dive bar than anything worth specifically looking for. The floor was sticky and the bathrooms weren't much better. Flagging down a bartender, even with the combined efforts of my friend and I, was an ordeal. The drinks were okay and the pool table had a good crowd of friendly people mulling around it. Friendly, helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Not enough pool tables though there was hardly ever one open, and there were multiple customers who were outright rude and disruptive.
